Le Pichet: what do users think?

Tiffany Jorgensen: I've been coming here for around twenty years. The food is always consistent and lovely. The service goes above and beyond. Granted this was about a decade ago, but one time my child left their bag and they held onto it till or next visit. Which was several weeks later. They have always done a great job, even when it's busy or the guest is less than stellar. So glad you guys didn't close. Thanks for everything. Your hard work is noticed and appreciated!

Hak Williams: What a gem. I believe this was Anthony Bourdain's favorite restaurant in Seattle. So French and simple and unassuming. If you love chocolate you can't leave Seattle without trying their hot chocolate. It's the most chocolate and heavy cream you can combine into one sip. You can go for a light lunch or a late breakfast or an afternoon coffee and dessert, or you can go for dinner. The whole chicken for two looks like a smart bed, and the fish is always a good idea. The charcuterie and cheese is also a winner. The steak frites was very good, but it doesn't beat an American Steakhouse kind of steak if that's what you are into. The wine by the glass is 4 or $5 more affordable than other nearby restaurants. In France this would be considered a bistro, which is on the more casual end of the spectrum. But there may be no exact equivalent to France because this place serves more than one function. It's a cafe, a bar, and a bistro. If you're in the area and need a little pick me up you can go in just for a hot chocolate or a coffee. Their espresso service is top notch. I was having dinner there late last night and a couple came in and just ordered a whiskey and a hot chocolate as their nightcap.

Michael Cook: First and foremost a restaurants priority is to serve good food, and this place made up for a multitude of sins by having really amazing, tasty, well prepared/seasoned food that is being done by a seriously competent back of house staff. I had the steak frites, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had, and was perfectly cooked rare to my preference. The chicken tartine was beautiful, my companion had the fish of the day and it was incredibly seasoned and sauced. Beautiful food. The service though was awful, we weren’t greeted for about 10 minutes in a tiny restaurant, all the staff looked at us but didn’t say anything. We were forgotten about a bit, the staff seemed more interested hanging out with the lush at the bar who seemed to be taking all the air out of the room.We asked for our bill, the server dropped it off, changed her clothes and left. We then waited half an hour to pay, and finally were acknowledged and told we had to give our cards to them, as if we should've known. The 20% automatic gratuity is a flaw, theres no motivation for the server to love the table and go the extra mile, they just phone it in. The way it’s put on the menu is that the customer is paying for their benefits and commission, and if we feel the service isn’t up to 20% it’s up to the customer to ask to have it removed. That’s just bad business and an unnecessary duty to put onto the customer. But the food was amazing, and that’s what’s important, and what saved the whole experience

Luc: what do users think?

Roger Knopf: Update: sadly, they lost the ir lease and closed. Sniff....A warm place with excellent food and cocktails. Very friendly staff.

M. P: Luc is such a gem for Seattlites. It's sad that this place had to close but am so very glad that we got to have one last bite. Had the foie gras, meat and cheese plate, salmon, steak & frites, and the chocolate torte. So good.

Michelle Hall: So good!!! Wish they were sticking around.

kayla bee: One of my favorite restaurants, I am so sad to see it close. Great memories and even better food!

Jessica Norgard: The staff was amazing and friendly. The food was delightful and lovely. I will miss this establishment immensely.

Christopher Walker: The sad news first: Luc is closing at the end of August due to losing their lease. Get in if you can. This is French comfort food blended with touches of haute cuisine. The proprietors are incredibly friendly, as is all the staff. Everything my wife and I tried was superb. If Luc opens in another location, I will be one of the first in line.

Alex Zhou: Had an enjoyable enough meal and everything was well executed, but didn't find it mindblowing for the price. I'll still be sad to see it go though.

Kelly Kerani: Cassouet-tastic.

Paul Mccrary: Steak frittes, charcuterie, pot de creme, and everything else on the menu is excellent. great service too

Jaimie Pechan: It’s hard to describe a place where you literally have never had meal that wasn’t perfect. I thought it might just be pandemic nostalgia from not eating out for a year that made me remember Luc that way but nope, I’ve been three times in the last two weeks and every meal was sublime. I’ve gone with three different parties and between us we’ve been through most of the menu and we all agreed: Seattle has lots of innovative restaurants but not many that can consistently be innovative and also have perfect execution. For example, I’ve now tasted the halibut three times in two weeks and every time it was cooked perfectly and also was a completely new dish with different local, seasonal ingredients and flavors. They also have flawless classics; this is the home of the best chicken liver pâté and charcuterie plate in the city and the gem lettuce salad never disappoints. The burger has won awards for a reason. And the wine list is low key amazing. I’ll go back again this weekend because if I’m going to spend money on a meal in Seattle, I want to know it will be memorable and delicious. And Luc had never disappointed me once.

Paul Buehrens: Favorite place!

Alex Boerum: Wine was delicious. Cheese plate was tasty. Limited menu for dinner but fries and asparagus are good small bites to eat. Outside seating was warm. Overall good 👍 experience.

Wendy Cranfill: Great place to celebrate re-opening. Asparagus two ways...both delicious!

Robert Smith: Not only great cheese...some rare cuts of meat also. What a lovely shop!

Gretchen Cilley: Stellar service and wonderful food. I had the scallops with lentils special and cleaned my plate. Yummy food in a welcoming setting!

Cafe Campagne: what do users think?

DeBuen Diente: Nice restaurant one block from the market, the dishes are good and varied, the quality can improve, the drinks are good, the most recommended is the madame sandwich, the waiter's attention was excellent, the service was a little slow since there were quite a few people, the Prices are good for a tourist place, nothing outstanding but a good option for breakfast

Michael Senkow: Was quiet at lunch, would recommend for a quick work lunch.

Naima: This place is tucked away adorably at the market. I thought, well it's so close to the market it must be a tourist trap? Nope. Guess it's been around too long to be such. Delicious authentic food, coffee, and a bright atmosphere with considerate staff members. One of few memorable meals had in my week in Seattle. My colleague recommended this place. Will be recommending to others! Thanks.

Aneka Zarger: I loved everything about this location. The food was delicious and their offerings have something for everyone. The food came out fairly quickly considering how busy the location was. Our waitress and the sommelier were both helpful in answering questions about pairings or dishes. I highly recommend trying their sipping chocolate as you may overlook it! While the venue is smaller and can get a bit loud due to acoustics, they do a fairly nice job of maximizing the space they have.

John Hicks: Amazing food. Will definitely come back

Heather A Adams: Elegant and lovely restaurant with great french food and coffee. Sad to see it go, where else can you indulge in mayo and fries, rich meat and bread and butter and not feel bad? Thank you Cafe Presse!!

Eli Fleishauer: Get it before it closes. Excellent french onion soup and the Frites are show stoppers. Sandwhiches are not the star of the show here. I only learned about this recently, and now it's closing. Boo.Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: No Delivery: No Curbside pickup: No …

Troy Fagan: Cafe Presse is closing next month, and they're just as awesome as they've ever been. Go check em out and send them off with a bang!

L'Oursin: what do users think?

Rob Ralstin: Food was great other than the beef tar tar. Comes out presented as a frozen beef patty and too much vinegar. Other than that dish the food was great!

David Antal: Loved the atmosphere, yet surprisingly small number of diners for a 6:30 Saturday reservation. The calamari was the best- grease free and crunchy. Good quality bread and well made mixed salad. The main, "ravioli", was a $30+ abomination. ONE unimpressive ravioli circled with way too many chopped vegetables in a weird sauce crowned with a frizzy addition hiding the disappointment below. AVOID THIS DISH!!

Gainsbourg: what do users think?

Jean-Sébastien Goupil: Updating my review from 2y ago. This place is still holding up in terms of food quality, but our waiter literally tends 7 tables. And 2 of them are 8 person tables.Service is very slow, missing things, food arrive at different moment. I'm done eating and some people at our table didn't even get their dinner.A bit disappointing. The cocktails have fancy names but they are a bit lackluster. The beet or celery syrups are not as flavorful as they should be.I can't give a 3 stars, as I would still come back, but it needs to improve.

David Petrusich: I’m sad that it took me so long to discover this place!Gainsbourg is a casual French restaurant that offers incredible food and cocktails at a price point that will entice you to make it your mainstay. The best French Onion Soup and Steak Frites in Seattle is here, and I’ll be back for more!

Bradley Gutting: You'll walk into the unassuming front door under a nylon overhang, and one way or another you'll find a seat but it should probably be at the bar, as close to the flames of the stoves as possible. The house red makes for a great first choice, perhaps a French 75 if you want to match the underground Parisian flair, or the Bambi if you like things tart. I prefer the house red, it's 8 bucks and feels right.Say hello to the staff — they're busy, but glad to see you. I feel like I'm watching a more sane yet no less spirited version of The Bear when I'm there, and I admire the stainless steel pans dangling from various hooks. It fits with the menus, apparently inked-in by a typewriter. The Brussels sprouts are divine, the poutine legit. I can't imagine getting a steak frites anywhere else, both the steak and the frites beat out the various offerings around town that are near-triple the price. Not that you're hear to save, of course, you're here for the experience and this one continues to be among my favorites anywhere, Seattle or otherwise.

Alex V: Love this little restaurant in Greenwood. How can you go wrong when it’s all day happy hour on Mondays and the staff is great. Both times I’ve been here, I ordered the $7 burger + $1 add Gruyère cheese and a side of fries off the hh menu along with a glass of cava. The burger is a full portion and absolutely delicious. Fries are fried well and the aioli sauce is yummy. Their other food on the menu is reasonably priced and looks tasty - can’t wait to be back!!

Amy Brucks: , wine was delicious, and the cocktails were excellent! Service was outstanding - our server was attentive without being annoying. Atmosphere was fun but not too loud, which is perfect. The only thing lacking was parking, but it’s Seattle. That’s what you expect, so I didn’t let it affect the rating.

Ellen Bevington: Nice happy hour...good bartenders..Recommended dishes Creme Brulee, French Fries, Penn Cove Mussels and Frites …

Kaetlyn Morales: so cute and cozy little spot! made reservations and got sat super quick, took a little while to get our food but didn’t mind too muchservice was good and vibes were right! alot of older folks but didn’t feel out of place(:overall 10/10i loved the puff pastries for dessert !

Diana García de la Cruz: This was our second time here.We spent $84 + tip for 3 persons and we had 1 appetizer, 2 main and wine. Enough food!I would say that they have really good food. Just smell a little off near the main door.

Terri Nakamura: . We were kept waiting for about 20 minutes beyond our reservation time, so that was a drag. The hard surfaces on the floor, walls and ceilings meant the restaurant clatter and chatter is amplified, but this has always been the case since we started going there 20 years ago.

Loulay Kitchen & Bar: what do users think?

Dan VanVladricken: French cuisine in the heart of Seattle. The food was masterfully done, and everything we had was delicious. An amazing experience. Make reservations for 2, and have a romantic French dinner.

Imogen Caroline Brendel MPP PMP: They definitely have retained their edge as one of the best in this metro. Before c19, this was in my regular lunch rotation when working in the office; take-out since. Food and experience remain top notch, comparable to some 1 Michelin star places in Silicon Valley and SF. Must visit in Seattle. PS. The dining room is gorgeous!

dominic corr: The chef in the hat is the best!

Dari Dee: Terrific food, shwanky vibe, but without the attitude & high prices. Wait staff on point!

Mbali Hlongwane: . We went in for lunch without a reservation. Making a reservation is the best option because it can get really busy at this restaurant. The food was well presented, appetizing and very tasty. The chicken was tender. They also have this broccoli that had some tangy taste. I can't remember the name of the dish, my friend had it and offered me a taste, absolutely delicious. I will definitely go back to this restaurant. Highly recommend. Also.. Bonus.. The hosts were wearing suits, neat!!

Brian Sullivan: This French restruant is a hit, we had Tuna, mushroom risotto and the best duck I have ever tasted, will go back again and again, service was exceptional

Pandora Proxy: They get everything right! Whoever runs this place really knows what they are doing.I don’t know what happened to seattle restaurants lately, but they all seem to miss the mark on what makes a restaurant experience good. They all think the same thing, “lets make it a fun atmosphere!” Which ends up meaning they just make everything loud and annoying. Even if the food is good, its a headache because everything is a hard surface and the music is always at max volume. That brings me to Loulay. This place hits the mark on every point. The noise level is PERFECT. There are enough soft surfaces, and the music level is low enough that the place feels cozy and inviting and I can actually hear my wife talk without having to raise our voices, which makes us want to stay longer and order more drinks. Not to mention the decor is lovely and not too busy.Which brings me to the drinks, I don’t know the name of their bartender but I hope he never leaves. He is a genius, I have never had cocktails as delicious as the ones I had at Loulay, and they don’t rely on being sweet either, they are just good! And then there is the food. You can really tell that the kitchen really cares about what they are doing here. Everything is cooked perfectly, the presentation is always good but not uselessly complicated, and of course it all tastes great!Definitely coming back as many times as I can and will always be my first choice for a nice occasion of food and drinks.

James Crain: Hands down one of the best meals we have ever eaten. My wife and I went here for a Valentine's dinner on our trip to Seattle, and couldn't find a bad thing to say about our experience.

Philip Myers: Great dining experience. Our large group had a private dining area and special menu of delicious choices.

Mary S. Butler: Excellent menu, wine list, and a staff finely attuned to diner's needs.

Jordan Rudd: One of the best restaurants in Seattle, hands down

Jen Garone: More of you should be eating here. I’m just saying.Great place. Good place to have a conversation with friends you haven’t seen in awhile. Food is delicious. Great portions. Excellent wine list. Corkage fee is $15. Friendly, efficient service.

Joseph Rapp: Food: 5/5

Abigail Bentley: Fantastic French cuisine, best fresh bread, very delicious crab cakes and the best Ceasar salad!

Rita Chan: We have been coming to Lynn's for 20 years since moving to Kirkland, and her food never disappoints. While we routinely try out new places, Lynn's is like a reliable warm hug from an old friend. Her sauces are to die for, and everything perfectly cooked. It's difficult to choose my favorite, but her shrimp ravioli, french onion soup, and filet mignon are top of my list.Sat evening i had Fish of the Day, which was Salmon in mushroom butter sauce. It comes with sautéed vegetables and scalloped potatoes. My husband had crab cakes in lobster sauce which came with the same sides. This guy who detests anything green gobbled down the vegetables first. It's a testament to how perfect Lynn's sautéed vegetables are. He also never eat soup, except the French onion soup at Lynn's.My salmon was perfectly cooked, silky smooth and full of flavor. Crab cakes were large chunks of jumbo lumps in a lobster sauce that makes you mop up every drop with the hot french rolls.Service was friendly and prompt without pretentiousness. Lynn's is a gem that will have you coming back for repeat visits.

May: Friend made reservation and I saw “reservation only” on the door. Probably best to have reservation before going. My favorite was the duck breast, which was the most tender one I have ever had. I also love their desserts, like crème brûlée and bread pudding, while I don’t usually like desserts.People also go there for escargot, crab cake, and chicken pate, and I think those were decent. However, I truly couldn’t find other good French restaurants in Seattle area.

Oliver: And crispy croutons rather than soggy ones. The duck I had and the escargot that my wife had as well as the crab cakes were great. The desserts are yummy too. The best really are the sauces on the entrees! Hahaha.

The Georgian: what do users think?

Phill Gilbert: The George is a wonderful experience - the expansive room somehow feels warm and inviting and since tables are spaced well, it's not crowded or noisy. The food is excellent with a good range and excellent quality, we have been maybe times and it's never disappointed! That's topped off with excellent service from knowledgeable servers. While you don't need to dress up, you certainly can!

M Waters: So, I decided to give The George a try before a concert last night. From the gorgeous décor

Jazmine W: My friend and I went for breakfast here and it was perfect didn’t disappoint! They have a basic menu, but it had everything we needed. They had oatmilk lattes which is a plus. The waitress was so nice and attentive. I had the Olympic breakfast and chose salad instead of the potatoes which was so good. There was an upscale ambiance and the interior is very elegant. I would definitely recommend this brasserie to my friends and will be back soon.

Sara Ruiz: We reserved this place for a friend's birthday and we couldn't be more happy. Food was delicious and service was excellent. There was an issue with a glass of wine, nothing big, but they went above and beyond to make sure it didn't affect the experience. We would go back in a heartbeat.Parking: There's street parking available and conveniently, there is a parking garage just across the street.

My bf ordered the rabbit confit and I had the roasted chicken, both were yummy! The owner even came out and talked to us about the wine selection. Great location too! Can't wait to be back and try more dishes. Next time, we want to sit on the chef’s counter.

Megan Euverman: Absolutely amazing!Living in Vancouver, Canada, we often travel to Seattle for a night and try to find a great place to eat. After enjoying brunch at Marmite, we knew we had to come back to try their dinner.Every drink and dish was amazing. The staff, including the owner/head chef, went above and beyond. Sitting at the chef's counter, we were able to learn, chat, and enjoy watch the food being prepared. We can't wait to return and hope to find a time to try their cooking class as well.

Kahealani: and butter. I personally only enjoyed 1/3 types of bread but it was okay. For a main course, we split the Caillettes Provençales and it was absolutely delicious. The red cabbage went really well with the fat on the meat and it was very flavorful.Overall, an enjoyable experience, I will dine here again.
