Courtney Macer: I have had nothing but great experiences here, on the GYN and OB side. I saw Clare Christensen for gynecological care first. She was kind, thorough, and so attentive. Then I saw Dr. Chen throughout my pregnancy. She has such a warm bedside manner. I felt very confident in her care and appreciated that she always left time for unrushed questions. Finally, I saw Dr. Bar-Joseph for my delivery at Swedish. Delivery is an interesting time as a patient because you're asked to make more decisions on the spot than you would in other medical settings. Dr. Bar-Joseph was very patient and empathetic in explaining options, and I always felt respected. I credit my positive feelings about my delivery to her calm approach -- I never felt out of control, even when plans had to change to protect baby's health. To top it off, the front desk staff made scheduling easy, and they were very accessible in helping me navigate billing questions after delivery. I cannot speak highly enough about my care at Northwest Women's Healthcare!

Vanessa Romero: Thank you Dr. Winner for giving me my life back! I had been miserable for years and suspected endometriosis due to the prevalence in my family. I traveled four hours to see Dr. Winner and she confirmed I likely had endometriosis. She did an excellent job listening to me and then explaining my options. I did have the option of having surgery locally where I live but I wanted a surgeon that specializes in endometriosis. Having the right surgeon makes a big difference in the outcome and your quality of life afterward. She was recommended by a family friend and I’m so glad I went to see her. I've had a number of other surgeries at other hospitals and this was by far the best surgery experience I've ever had. I was able to go home the same day and they made sure I felt comfortable and ready to go before I was discharged.Prior to finding Dr. Winner, I had countless doctor appointments with PCPs and numerous specialists, but none were able to really help me. They usually suggested trying different forms of birth control or said that my symptoms were a normal part of being a woman or due to stress. It worsened over the years to the point where I was regularly in excruciating 10/10 pain, could bleed for weeks at a time, and had a laundry list of classic endo symptoms. Finally, I found Dr. Winner and her nurse Marie who truly listened and cared about finding a solution for me. If you are in a similar position and are considering surgery as an option, please do yourself a favor and go see Marie and Dr. Winner. YARA C: I honestly can't say enough amazing things about Dr. Brooke Winner. I'm 3 weeks out from my laparoscopic myomectomy and the entire experience felt like a breeze compared to the experiences of friends who have undergone the more invasive abdominal myomectomy procedure.I was referred to Dr. Winner by my ivf doctor after an ultrasound showed what appeared to be 2 or 3 large fibroids in and around my uterus. After meeting with Dr. Winner, I felt confident that I was in the right place. She took time to efficiently explain exactly what was going on, what to expect and what all of my options were. She also ordered an mri scan in addition to the initial ultrasound, and it revealed that I actually had one very large fibroid hanging off of my uterus on a stalk. Later I found out that the fibroid weighed x6 what a typical uterus weighs and was 11cm large!Most of my friends, specifically other Black women, who have fibroids and also want children someday have all had abdominal myomectomy procedures recommended to them due to the size or number of fibroids they might have. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Winner as she explained exactly why that is not always the best approach.My experience the day of surgery was top tier. Huge thank you to her entire team and the nurses at Swedish for helping me feel safe and cared for.

B: Dr. Winner and her team were incredible. I had an 11cm intramural fibroid and she was still able to perform a laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery to remove the fibroid. Surgery was great and the recovery was great as well! I didn’t have to take anything other than Tylenol. I am currently 3 months post op and feel incredible! I highly recommend her and her team. You will be in great hands.
Megan Duncan: Dr. Winner is the best. She did my 2nd surgery. The first was by a nurse practitioner who convinced me it would be an easy surgery and she’d go in with a little vacuum and suck up any endometriosis and I could have beautiful babies afterward. As soon as the first doctor opened me up she realized she didn’t have the skills for my advanced state. This later led me to research and find Dr. Winner and to learn a very valuable lesson: Always do your homework when it comes to your health. Dr. Winner is the most experienced and dedicated doctor I know. She has a long waitlist but trust me, she is worth it. She did my hysterectomy, removed one ovary, my fallopian tubes and all cysts, endometriosis, fibroids etc. We decided to keep one ovary to minimize the menopausal symptoms but 1 year later that ovary became necrotic and brought me to the ER at 2am. The on-call doctor called Dr. Winner’s office and she happened to be on call that day. She met me at the Swedish Ballard ER at 7am and arranged for emergency surgery at First Hill by 8am. Both my husband and I follow her on social media because she is the best in her field, does so much education, is an advocate for endometriosis research and training and helped me out in my darkest most painful times. She saved my life. If you have advanced endometriosis, she is the best.
Jessica Kunkel: and was so kind and patient. Unfortunately I've had numerous experiences with doctors being invalidating and condescending, and Dr. Winner was the complete opposite. She made me feel so comfortable and cared for. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Winner's expertise.
Claire Gould: were "normal," Dr. Winner and her team affirmed me and I was given the option to have laparoscopic surgery. We moved forward with excision surgery and they found A LOT of endometriosis and even had to bring in a surgeon to remove my appendix because the endo had spread so much. I share this to say it felt really affirming to have more information about why I'd been in pain for so many years. I am 36 and have had my period since I was 11 years old. I was always told I'd outgrow this pain or I was told that birth control pills were the only option. Dr. Winner gave me more solutions than I had ever been presented with. And though there's no cure for endometriosis, I feel like this excision surgery was a move forward on the path to healing. I am so grateful to Dr. Winner, her colleagues and the nurse care team!

Sai Priya Kumar: Dr. Foltz is one of the best doctors I have come across, I met her during my first pregnancy, and she made sure as a new mom I was at ease and reassured everything with a valid reason behind it, that showed her experience & vast knowledge. She made sure to understand us as a family, as a mom, and as a woman. She takes care of her patients as her own. Since my first pregnancy, I couldn't stop recommending her to my friends. She made sure I had a healthy delivery without any complications, she explained things and showed me the path of how to go about it. After having the best and the most comfortable experience with my first one, I decided to continue with her for my second pregnancy irrespective of the fact that I had to drive from North of Seattle to meet her for all of my appointments. Her love of her patients and her profession is evident in the way she handles all the patients. She is definitely one of the best. She's always there for you whenever you have to pop a question, she and her team make sure to take care of the questions. I will continue with her as long as I am in Washington. Also, she took care of my labor for the second one, still can't forget how she supported me did not let me give up, pushed me through my labor, and handed my baby into my arms with all safety. Always grateful to her.
Heather Richards: Going with Dr, Foltz for my pregnancy was one of the best decisions I made throughout the process. She is incredibly professional and caring and acts as a true partner in your care through the entire process.My BP was raising toward the end of my pregnancy and was trending toward preeclampsia. Dr. Foltz recommended an induction at 39 weeks due to this issue so we scheduled it for the following week. The nurses at Swedish working with Dr. Foltz were complete angels and cared for me the entire time and I managed to give birth to a very health baby girl in just 3.5 hours!! All while managing to very effectively minimize the pain I felt and keeping me informed of what was happening the whole time.If you are looking for an OB go with Dr. Foltz, you won’t regret it!

Speck E: I want to share with you how wonderful doctor Heath Miller is. If you have been searching for a caring intelligent surgeon who is a master of his craft, then you need to go to Dr Miller.I had been suffering from uterine fibroids for many years but was too scared to do a hysterectomy. After doing much research online, I was lucky enough to have come across Dr Miller. Dr Miller is one of the few experts in DaVinci robotic laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery. I had three small incisions that were smaller than your pinky nail 3 mm. The uterus was removed vaginally. I was up and walking the next day after an overnight stay.Dr Miller was extremely understanding, courteous, and patient with me. He answered all of my questions and my surgery was a success.I would highly recommend Dr Miller to anyone who needs an OBGYN surgeon.

Being a new patient and with an urgent medical condition, the office staff worked me in to Dr. Miller's busy schedule right away. Dr. Miller was very professional and patiently explained to me and my husband the nature of my problem and the possible causes. His words and bedside manner put us immediately at ease. He performed my surgery in a very well organized setting- UWMC Roosevelt- and he updated my husband immediately after my procedure. A few days later he called us personally with the pathology report and carefully explained the results. I could not have asked for a better experience!

J Cramer: Dr. Heath Miller has taken care of my entire family and I for years. He has operated on myself twice and provided care to both my sister and mother. He has helped us through the best of times, and the most difficult of times. He has provided exceptional surgical judgement when others failed or provided only traditional open surgery as opposed to minimally invasive options. He takes the whole person into consideration when offering care and advice, and I can’t think of a more gentle and knowledgeable physician. Seema Grover: I was recently diagnosed with a large fibroid in my uterus and I called to schedule a consultation with Dr Miller. I did not realize I had his direct number and to my surprise, Dr Miller himself picked up the phone. Instead of simply redirecting me to his assistant, Dr Miller took the time to listen to my situation as I was worried at that time, comforted me and said he will make time to see me within a week. I already felt better. Dr Miller’s assistant called me back immediately and scheduled my appointment for the following week. Dr Miller spent upwards of an hour on my first visit, discussed all possible solutions with me and did due diligence to ensure that the proposed surgery will indeed fix my symptoms. Anticipating that I will have follow up questions, Dr Miller gave me his phone number so I can text as needed. It was a lot of information to digest and I had follow up questions. I texted Dr Miller with my questions the following day and within minutes, Dr sent a detailed and clear response that answered all my queries. Few days before the surgery, I texted again with another question and Dr Miller responded within minutes with a clear answer. On the day of the surgery, staff at UW took really good care of me. Most importantly, Dr Miller and his team performed the surgery so well that it did not feel I had a major surgery afterwards. I decided to stay overnight at the hospital and have been healing really fast since. I had a really good experience with Dr Miller where all through I could trust I was in really good hands!
Frani Kruschwitz: Dr Miller took on my daughter’s very difficult case. She is 19 years old and unable to have children due to a rare genetic disease. She also has epilepsy. Her seizure medication does not work when she has her period. Ivy K: Dr. Miller was my surgeon 5 years ago for an exploratory surgery looking for endometriosis. I was in incredible pain for years before seeing him and no other doctors really thought endometriosis was the cause. From what I remember, he said that the severity of my case was one of the most surprising he’s come across. My endometriosis was far worse than anyone expected. Because of his work during that surgery, I have been overall pain free these past five years. I do hope he’s still local and practicing when I try for a baby and need surgery again, because I know that he is the very best and is the only doctor I really trust.
