Made Sewing Studio: what do users think?

Ly Huynh: with lots of space and tools. The adult bootcamp is great! Beth is a wonderful clear and patient instructor there, I have a hard time learning and highly recommend this workshop.

Ian Richardson: Took the Beginners Sewing Class at Made last night and it was amazing! Beth was a fantastic teacher and such fun. Will definitely be returning for future classes!

Cody Duncan: If you like to sew, it'd be difficult to find a better equipped studio.Course Instructor for the Adult Sewing Bootcamp was fantastic!Highly recommended for learning to sew.

Michael Sterkowicz: Made is the bomb! Great camps for kids!

Beth Carman: Their lack of communication during the pandemic was frustrating. Eventually, they made right by their policies and practices, but it was a frustrating and confusing process.

Katie McKeown: I took the beginner machine basics / pillow class. I learned so much and am finally not scared of my sewing machine! Great class and teacher—will definitely be back.

Melissa Snyder: This place is awesome! Carisa is super helpful and knowledgeable. I've worked on several projects here and it is great to have a place to sew that has everything you could possibly need.

Diane Stern: Great place to take classes or go in to just use sewing equipment for your own project. Carisa, the owner, is an excellent teacher and heaps of fun.

Drygoods Design: what do users think?

Emily Minnette: An amazing shop! The fabric, patterns, and art supplies are one of a kind. The staff is so helpful and warm. A perfect place to buy a present or find something you can’t find anywhere else.

Charlotte Alexander: Wow!!! It is mostly apparel fabrics and an amazing selection.

Rueben Otero: They've got a ton of great fabrics both for apparel and quilting. The apparel could use a bit more variety, but the staff is sweet and helpful and they enjoy my dog in the business. Not a must that i should be able to bring my dog, but it's nice to take a stroll down and pop in.

Brittany Kadansky: Always kind and helpful. I love the curation of goods and the ability to ask silly questions and get answers from a real person!

A F (Pochemu2): Drygoods also carries yarns, notions, indie company patterns and they have classes one can take. The prices are not cheap. And nothing is mediocre quality.Drygoods caters to a creater who is dedicated to a different kind of fashion lifestyle-- conscientious, creative and dedicated.

Catherine Billor (Priester): In store shopping by appointment only. Can also shop their online store.

Stephanie Seufert: I visited Drygoods during my travels before border closures and really enjoyed my time there! They had a lovely variety of contemporary fabrics and cloth perfect for clothing and quilting alike! I also picked up some fantastic sashiko thread for visible mending! Can’t wait to return when my travels resume!

Anna P: Amazing little shop with tons of trinkets and do-dads for crafters! I've taken a few of their classes now and I love it. They're a bit pricey at first glance, but you get a lot of individualized attention and you get to use some of the best sewing machines out there. I love their fabric selection and everyone who works there is so nice! I make the trek to Pioneer Square just for Drygoods Design.

Guy Spainhower: Cute place and I like that they have work shops

Dennis Li: Great place for beginners. Classes are great, instructors are super helpful, and the studio has all of tools for you to work on any project at a really reasonable hourly rate.

Shelly Mills: They were so kind and helpful and nice.

Atari Betamax: I'm not a big crafter so when I'm interested in something it's usually my first exposure. Having helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff goes a long way. I decided push needle might be a fun way to express myself and a friend recommended Drygoods Design. My friend was spot on. I left with the materials I needed and the info to get started. The store was clean and we'll laid out. It was my first time shopping for these supplies so I'm not sure how there prices are compared to other shops. I knew I could find everything online for less but I love to shop local when I can and I want to talk to a human about the craft. I totally recommend this place. They're downtown, for me that was a huge plus.

Kreator Kiki: Lots of good products here. Fabrics and trims high quality, but really pricey. Maybe everythings a bit overpriced, but clean atmosphere and kind people.

Vahishta Vafadari: Great place for sewing classes, as well as materials. The people who work there are very helpful when it comes to getting started or picking a project. The store itself is adorable, and even has cards and things that would make great gifts. Plan to go back there often. Wonderful store for anyone who loves hand crafts or just wants to learn more

Andrea: We took one of the intro sewing classes here and it was super fun and informative! Sewing is actually a lot more technical than I thought it'd be. This place had a fair bit of foot traffic on Saturday when we went. The staff are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Maya Jones: Amazing little shop with lots of unique items. They have a nice selection of lovely fabrics and notions. A huge studio on site for the many classes offered as well! Highly recommend!

Wyldwood Creative: what do users think?

Alanna Williams: I took a sewing 101 class here and had the best time. I had no experience seeing prior to taking the class, and the instructor was kind and encouraging. I loved leaving with a finished product! This is an inclusive and welcoming space, which I appreciate.

Selena Bracelen: I’ve taken a few classes here and am always so impressed!! The instructors are so talented, kind, and patient. The owner is absolutely wonderful. Fabric selection is high quality and lovely. I love supporting small business like this!!

K R: I’ve taken the beginner sewing and quilting class at Wyldwood and they gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to make my first quilt & more! Always love coming here for fabrics and notions too.

Emily Hendricks: Great experiences shopping in store, online and taking one of the classes. Would highly recommend!

Gina Jadelis: I love following this little shop on Tik Tok and instagram. Not only does Tawnee, the owner, share about small business ownership and makes it very personable for her customers, but she is very professional and responsive. I ordered fabric from her and received it within 3 days. One day I hope that I could visit the store in person, but I will be happy to continue supporting this store online!

C: . Modest collection of quilting and garment fabrics. Also stock paint by # kits and needle felting kits. Nice staff.

Starfevre: Attempted socializing with pizza and puzzles. Probably would have enjoyed myself more without the migraine.

Julia Chiang: Amazing local gem owned by an amazing human! Great workshops, high quality fabrics and kits 3

Cezanne Lane: . The fabric selection and kits are so gorgeous and always inspire me to start yet another project. Love having this place local.

Rachel Tyler: I messaged the store on Instagram about a quilt kit and she sent it in the mail the same day! The quilt kits are easy to do and with good instructions!

Karen Secrest: This cute craft and fabric store has a small footprint, but I always find what I need! They have a fantastic assortment of notions, tools, embroidery floss, craft kits, pins, and stickers. There's something for everyone whether you're experienced at sewing or a novice crafter. I love popping in for a quick pick-me-up or a unique gift.

Melanie Weber: I recently received a Treat Yourself Calendar and was blown away by the variety of fun and useful items from local makers and big companies like Ruby Star Society.

Chris Batten: I purchased Wyldwood Creative's countdown calendar and was thoroughly impressed with the gifts that came! Each day was a new surprise. A nice bonus was that some of the gifts were not sewing related and came from other local, independent retailers. The calendar was a bit expensive, but after seeing the quality of the gifts I would happily purchase it again.

Sarah Como: I'll be back to take more classes!

Amanda B: I first went to Wyldwood to take the “my first quilt” class and I was incredibly impressed by the class and the variety of products in the shop. My quilt is beloved and was a joy to make. The maker materials are great and the local products are fabulous. All my gifts are coming from Wyldwood. I have since taken multiple classes and every instructor is knowledgeable, kind and facilitates a great environment. Would absolutely recommend.

Sue Taylor: HIGHLY recommend! Support this amazing small business! I took an online quilting class and learned TONS. Super fun and fast way to permanently change the way you see yourself as a wildly creative and CAPABLE person. T makes it all possible for EVERYONE to join this community.

Nikki Mason: I just finished the 6 week Virtual Quilting class offered by Wyldwood Creative. I am very new to quilting and I learned so much from this classes. I highly recommend this class for beginners or a refresher. I feel a lot more confident in making my next quilt. Tawnee is a great teacher and answers all of your questions. Her shop in Renton, the Seattle area, is awesome for shopping for fabric, crafts, and all of your sewing needs. Tawnee and her staff are super helpful if you have questions about anything while shopping in there.

Anna Dean: Wonderful selections of buttons and accents, all the basic supplies fo sewing and great fabrics!! Staff is super friendly and helpful, love this place!!!

Rueben Otero: Excellent local fabric and fiber shop

J N: I'm old ....love stitches. Your Pets *won't* go out for exercise??? Leave them at home and walk to stitches on Pike and buy purple fabric! You have to!

p ptemn6: Bought theses 3 fabrics 100% cotton under $13 a yard.Friendly staff.Fab location.Get out and walk to Stitches ...you'll find them on Pike...in stitches!

Teo Zimmerman: Friendly, knowledgeable staff, who helped me figure out exactly what I needed for my project!

Davison Carvalho (Dave): Incredible store. Great variety of products, excellent customer service and overall friendliness. I'll come back for sure.

Richard W: One of my favorite local businesses. Great selection. Great staff.

Sharon Finden: Fantastic store and knowledgeable staff, in the heart of the hill! Classes too!

Rose ro: Cute little store! Not too pricey, especially for in the city. They had lots of different "stitch" related craft stuff. I saw a great fabric selection. The yarn section is smaller than I would like, but honestly very reasonable for the amount of stuff in the store. I just always want more yarn 😭. Customer service was great and they even wount the hanks I got into cakes for me! 10/10

Alina Boychenko: its a lovely store, and I would much rather support them than a chain but as an avid embroiderer that strictly uses pearled cotton the selection is slim 😔

Laura (Factofmyth): Great selection of fabric for such a small space. Blessed to have this in the neighborhood.

Laura Felice: Really nice little shop! It's a small place, but they have a lot of selection for the size and everything they sell seems to be carefully chosen and good quality. Really friendly and helpful staff. It's great to have a fabric store in a location that is so accessible without a car!

Seattle Makers: what do users think?

Shana F: Great community and lots of space and tools for all types of "making!" 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing/embroidery station, screen printing, electronics station, and full woodshop a block away from Gasworks park!

Jason M: Jeremy, the guy that runs this place is staple to the community. If you are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and fun environment to work on your projects, check out seattle makers.

Kaylee Moran: The Seattle Maker space is a great place to explore different ways of creating. Jeremy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to get hands on experience with a variety of tools and to have assistance if needed. Volunteering is a good option for those who want to use the space for projects and are on a budget or want to get more involved. They make using high-tech machines like laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC mills and professional sewing machines accessible for anyone to learn and use which is really cool. Would recommend!

sarah Diane: Seattle Makers is a great place to go to make things. I am often telling people, if you want to make something with a 3d machine, or laser cutter, or sewing machine, and you don't own the machines, this place has it all!I look forward to my next trip over there. Now if there were just a few more hours in a day...

Ross Porter: I'm a member. Very good equipment. But more importantly, very good people - I learn something from them *every* time I go in. Here's a photo of something I made there, with their excellent advice.

Patricia Concannon: I took a class making boxers at this workspace. It was a great experience that I would do again. I couldn't help notice all the people making cool things in other parts of the space. With all the options for creative endeavors, machines I don't have time or space to store, and the help with anything that I could dream up, is a place I will visit again and again.

Carter Brinchmann: Highly interested, knowledgeable, an approachable staff, with a great work environment. The employees helped me complete my projects onthe machinery while also teaching me how to use them and introducing me to new ones. Excellent place for design, implementing ideas, and working in a creative environment.

Logan Pulsifer: Came in and was greeted with a smile. Everyone was super helpful with machine setup and use. I was trying to build a surfboard and within an hour I had all the pieces I needed cut and ready to go. Come check this place out!

Catherine Wendland: What a fun place! I participated in a group event here where Jeremy and Ruth led us in a team building exercise. We built lasting memories for our team and it’s something I look back on fondly pretty often!I also got to see what Seattle Makers has to offer - sewing machines, laser cutting, 3D printing, and more. As a maker, I love that I could have the opportunity to explore many mediums through classes, training, and lab time. 💖

Chris Gallegos: One of the most creative places you can find. They are at home in this historic building known for the high creativity. Great place for prototyping physical design and engineering new ideas. Hobbyists are at home, too. Between the 3D-printing, laser cutting, and other machining options you can probably do anything here. Make something new.

Ashley Hoffman: Seattle Makers is such a wonderful, unique, and inspiring space that all Seattle creatives must check out! Whether you're looking to pick up a new hobby, meet some amazing creative people, or challenge yourself by trying something new, this is definitely the place to be. Get out of your comfort zone and support an amazing local business that's growing steadily!

Casey Muldoon: A little slice of MakerSpace heaven! The tools, lazers cutters and 3D printing etc is very cool, but what brings me back to the space again and again and again are the people and fun being had there! Thank you for existing!!!

I was looking for a specific type of skirt pattern, as I was searching through all the vintage patterns the store clerk was helping to find what I was looking for. They had some beautiful wedding lace and appliques. I'll have to go back with a bigger budget to get some of these finer pieces.

Quality Sewing & Vacuum Creative Center: what do users think?

Nadeen Ward: They had the foot that I wanted.

Martha C: I can say that most companies, including from other retail or industry sectors, could learn important lessons from this company. They are supremely CUSTOMER oriented, they know how to help and treat their customers, and their employees are ALWAYS cheerful, helpful and knoweledgeable. KUDOS to the owners, who evidently have put a lot of HARD work and SMART thinking into their business.I bought my Baby lock Vesta from them in Sept/2023, and have purchased many sewing accessories at their store online, at the Expo in Puyallup and their Tacoma store. It is a pleasure to take their classes, and the Sew & Stitchery Expos they help organize are a MUST: fun, educative, incredible people. KUDOS to ALL of them

Rebecca Walker: A quality company as always. Been a customer for over 20 years and they never disappoint!

Celeste Cassa: Got the product I needed in a timely manner. I recommend them.

Sandy Harrison: Staff are always helpful and courteous. They have a great variety of items so you can find what you need. If it's not in stock, they can order it for you. They have recently added beautiful quilting fabrics to their stock.

Corrine Foster: The staff at the Tukwila Quality Sewing were fantastic! They got my vacuum checked in quickly and told me what to expect. I got a phone call from them asking my permission to replace the filters and telling me about a couple blockages they found. My vacuum cleaner looked brand new when I picked it up!!! Took it home and it now works great!! Thank you for providing this service. I’ll be back… keep up the great work!

mark “Just Me” Swanigan: Its always a great experience when i go to quality sew and vac

Alice Cook: If you need anything for your sewing machine this is the place to go.I took my very old Kenmore sewing machine in to get looked at because it was making a noise. They were up front with me that because of the age of the machine parts are no longer available but they will do their best. When I went to pick up my machines it looked awesome! They had cleaned the outside body of the years of grim, added a new needle and thread, along with spool pads on the thread spindles. The inside was clean and oiled and a small gadget was replaced.Because there was no large repairs needed I only had to pay for that gadget that was replaced! I was not charged labor even though they had put in the time to make it run the best it has in years.Along with the great care they took on my machine, the store has tons of needed items for sewing and lovely fabric. There were so much there I will be going back to pick up my sewing supplies.

Jacqueline Choe: , also the bags and filters they give you as part of their program is great. Really like this store...my carpet is so clean now

Ben Flint: Absolutely top notch service. Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I felt like I was being talked to, not sold to.

Lorraine Kramer: Quality Sewing has friendly and knowledgeable salespeople, and an extensive selection of machines, notions, fabrics, and other sewing needs. Their educational classes are great, and Sew Fun is always enjoyable.

Lawless Forge: what do users think?

Scott Okino: Fantastic class. Our instructor, Spiff, was great to work with and very down to earth. Great photographer as well. It was myself and my 10 yo daughter and she had a great time hammering the metal. It says that you can have kids as young as 6 but if they wanted to take part in it, I think 10 was a great age to actually hammer. It would be a great team event.

Nichole Hays: Such an amazing and fun experience! Anyone can take this class! Clear instructions, Easy step by step. Will definitely do it again. Also a shout out to Sean, Great instructor, Willing to give help and advice!-BoozeCruise crew

David Springer-Trybus: Thank you Lawless Forge for providing a fun and engaging team building experience for our group. A special shout out to Kiran for providing us with an outstanding class.

Leigh Ann Novotny: I set up a team outing here and could not be happier with the event! We loved our instructor, Kiran! We were all so proud we left with an actual knife at the end. Thank you for a wonderful time, I will definitely be setting up more events in the future!

Tina Pap Aig: It was a fun day at Lawless Forge in Seattle, immersed in the art of blacksmithing. A perfect blend of creativity, bonding, and family fun. It was fun to try something different and your instructor is by your side if you need help. We liked our instructor Sam.

Sandra Wanstall: Sam provided great instruction as well as an engaging and safe environment for learning and creating and beautiful bouquet of year-round flowers for my garden. The crafting of the flowers was so fun: a nice combination of hard to screw up and challenging to do really well. Thanks, Sam!

Britanee Rodarte: Such a fun experience!! Was nervous at first like could I really do this?! But Spiff was so encouraging!!! Really gave great visual examples as well as explaining each step! I took the horseshoe knife class. And I’m so proud of my knife! Thank you can’t wait to come back for another class!!

Tara Farrell: Came to the ring making class with my fiance for our wedding rings. This class was amazing! We now have beautiful unique rings. Nikk was super personable, outgoing, and knowledgeable. I loved how passionate he was and how he gave us an understandable explanation of the science behind what he was doing. He definitely made the experience special. We will definitely be coming back to make knives with our children!
