Recycled Cycles: what do users think?

Lauren Grabowski: The perfect bike shop! A great array of new and used quality bikes, and incredibly nice and knowledgeable staff.

Zane: Skip is the man! He offered great service and trust

Jennifer Evans: This is the best bike shop in town. Knowledgeable mechanics who don't try to get you to spend more than needed but who know how to keep an older bike functioning well. They also know about old and vintage bikes and work thoughtfully to maintain those as well. We have recently had all of our bikes repaired and/or tuned up there, riding one bike in and picking up the finished one. I love this shop.

Vivek Subramanian: Very knowledgeable and friendly folks. Also a budget friendly bike store.

Gaspar Rodriguez: Excellent bike shop!

Andrew Kullman: Great people in here listening to great music and fixing bikes. Enough said.

Brandon Lee: for same price as “re-cycled” one’s being sold. Specifically some Kona pedals, chainring bolts & a freewheel. Miss the pre corona shutdown prices & membership that made cash pricing easy. Still my #1 shop but now I check eBay/Amazon.

The Bikery: what do users think?

Justin Kimball: Learned how to adjust my front derailer. Thanks!

David Walton: Service and product and knowledge are awesome

David Bahm: due to the all-volunteer staff of bicycle fans. It's worth working your schedule to arrive during their hours.Very convenient location to ride your bike to, along Hiawatha Street, connecting Dearborn to the I-90 bike route.

Harsha Konda: What a place !Fantastic place to learn to fix your bike. The volunteers do an amazing job with helping you learn to fix your bike

Edwin Forster: My wife and I flew in from out of town on a Sunday. We needed help getting a repair. Bikery was open, helpful, and we are so appreciative of the result!

Brian Macklin: Super nice people

Bryce Ulrich: Super helpful, relaxed, well equipped

Daniel Revier: This place is great. I don't know much about bikes and the folks here were super helpful and careful to explain what I should be looking for in a commuter bike. They also pointed me to Recycled Cycles, which is up by the University of Washington campus. 100% these people live and breathe bikes, so you can trust them.

William Terrance: Excellent little nonprofit bike shop, with friendly volunteer staff on site to assist while you complete repairs on your own ride. Tons of used parts, and a community vibe. Come here to get some knowledge, fix your bike and meet some cool folks in the biking community. Used bikes are available for sale.

Brandon Lu: Very bike kitchen. They have the patches that I love.

Chris Nad: Had a great experience. Having very little knowledge, Mike was a super good teacher and very patient with me. Would definitely recommend!

Nickolaus Fuerstenberg: I visited The Bikery to fix up my brakes and add a bike rack and basket to my bike, and I was warmly greeted by Aaron, one of the volunteers who works there. I shared with Aaron the things I intended to work on, and indicated that I was not quite sure what to do, and he said "no problem, I'm happy to help you out. Let's have a look." I learned several great tips for adjusting brakes, learned about how to lube my shifters, and with Aaron's help to find a spacer part to make the bike rack fit over my disk brakes, got the bike rake and basket on as well. The vibe felt very warm and folks felt like community -- everyone was working on their own thing, often using used parts and shared tools. I would go here again just to work on my bike in good company.

G&O Family Cyclery: what do users think?

Luke Distelhorst: The only place I take my e-cargo bike! Also, I called a major "coop" retailer and 1. they didn't know what charger I needed when mine died, and 2. they don't keep them in stock and said it had to be special ordered. Called G&O which had it in stock and stayed open late for me to come pick it up 30mins laters. Great shop, great people, top notch service.

Drew F: .The quality of the bikes and equipment is excellent, but the humans in the shop are what makes this business really special. Highly recommended for e-bikes and services.

Nicole Dolan: went to G&O to test ride a bike. When they got back, I was surprised how excited our son was to tell me about going to the bike shop. The toys and coloring pages were a highlight. This was a first for us. It was actually easy to go on an errand with our son there. We later went as a family to test ride a mid-tail cargo bike for me. It became clear why our son loved the bike shop when I stepped in. I was amazed how welcoming and unpretentious the entire staff were. Jenna was very helpful getting the bike set up for me to ride it. She took the time to show me the bike and point out different features before I rode it - something that many shops don’t make time to do. I found the Bosch system to be easy to use and more adaptive than other systems I had tried, and I really liked the belt drive system for ease of maintenance on commute. We ended up buying not one, but two bikes from G&O. The pick up experience for my bike was amazing. Davie tailored his bike overview to my bike experience level and spent time letting me test out different things, like dropping the battery, with him there to guide me through it. He takes the time to set each bike owner up for success so you actually want to ride your bike. While I was there, I got to watch Davie interact with a few other customers. He really wants every bike owner to be safe and happy, regardless of if they purchased their bike at G&O. His activism in the bike community really shows and is part of how he runs his shop. Confidence is instilled with every customer.I've put 450 miles on my bike in the last 4 months. I just went in for a tune up. It was the first time we used the restroom there, and they had a toddler toilet seat to use too. They think about not just their customers, but the entire family. We will be coming back to G&O service on an ongoing basis. Thank you for all that you’ve done to make your shop welcoming to the community!

Katherine Tassery: I got a flat tire on my cargo electric bike, that I use every day for commuting and kid transport. I called around to get it fixed ASAP, and all other bike shops quoted several weeks. G&O was able to get me up and running within a day, at half the quoted cost of other repair shops. I am so lucky to live nearby! Great experience.

Claudia Aita Costa: Yes, there are a lot of bike shops around, but come into this one and find out why it is special.

The Leonards: Its a grip to get here from where I live on the South end and it was well worth the drive. If you're looking to buy a top of the line cargo bike with the specific goal of getting your kids around, this is the only place to go. You can feel that kind of care given to family biking throughout the entire process. They make sure to tell you that building your bike will take as long as it takes to ensure their mechanics are not over worked as to not make mistakes. We're glad to have bought our bike here!

Kelsey Rote: They have been incredibly kind, informative, and helpful throughout the process of test driving bikes and then deciding, ordering, and receiving my bike. They're wonderful and I love my new Tern NBD!

Brian Wood: Very thorough service. Extensive, easy to follow, service notes were provided giving me confidence in the work. Spokes, belt tension, brake pads, electronics and dozens of other details were attended to. I will continue to bring my wife’s Riese & Müller to G&O!

Jeff Mills: One of the best bicycle stores I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Their ebikes are some of the best on the market. Their Customer service is as good as it gets !

Andrew McKinlay: I broke a spoke while truing my bike wheel. They were able to cut a custom length spoke and charged me less than the bus ticket it took to get here… all for less than the cost of the bus ticket! Very helpful to people who do not have a car or can only afford to do mechanical work themselves.

Phillip Duggan: I love this place! Such a great selection of bikes that are hard to find anywhere else. They're really helpful in comparing options to get the bike that's right for you. And they're really great with service, even in the pandemic when things are busy and difficult. They were able to squeeze me in for something quick to make sure it didn't become a bigger issue.

William Gerdes: Great service staff. Very thorough and affordable for this level of attention.

Martin Frasch: The family bike store of choice! Very friendly, very professional, great service, great overall experience. Great selection of stuff that matters and works well.May 2022 update: going strong!!

Electric & Folding Bikes Northwest: what do users think?

TheOrthodoxWaffle: . The team is super friendly even if you don't know a lot about bikes, they'll just get as much information from you as possible and make it work. I'll be coming back again and again for sure.

Lara Lee: Thanks to David for being patient with a first timer and explaining how to check brake pads on my own! Bike was tuned up and ready quicker than expected after I misheard how long it would take, everyone was very nice and bike is riding great!

Massage and Qigong: Very impressed with how down to earth and knowledgable they are about biking, equipment and helping you to find the most suitable approach for your needs. Maybe this is due to the humbleness of the biking community in general. Either way, these guys are great - go to them for anything you need regarding a bike.

Tae Jones: After almost 2 years of research I settled on a bike, went here to test ride, they were so patient during the many back and forth emails and when I came in. Bought my bike and brought it for a check up still same patient and educational vibes. There is a closer electric bike shop to me but I will keep coming here.

J.D. Kaiser: Voted The Best Bike Shop In Seattle! And they deserve it.Thanks.

Peter Novotnak: Repair appears fine, but service was pretty rude when asked basic questions about the service performed.

Harrison wolf: Not only are they the only bike shop in Ballard these days, they’re also super knowledgeable and friendly. Awesome selection of e-bikes to rent and buy, they also are a full service shop. $125 for a 24hr overnight rental is pretty standard. We had a great time.

Dan Monaghan: Great shop. They fixed a flat on my low-end e-bike and didn't try to sell me one of their far superior bikes. When I'm ready to upgrade my ride I know where I'm headed.

Patrick James Kapche: Great place to service and maintain your Brompton! 🚲

TV Nguyen: I'm not sure that I left a review when I bought my Faraday bike from here a few years ago. But now's just as good a time as ever. I called today asking for help with battery issues. I now live in California, so not even a local customer anymore. This doesn't change the fact that I received AMAZING treatment from the gentleman on the phone. He was knowledgeable, kind, and generous with his time and advice. Sir, I apologize for not having asked for your name. But I thank you, and I'm glad you're here to help people with a passion for biking like me. Keep up the good work. If I'm ever back in Seattle, this would be my go-to bike shop!

Jason Lorance: These guys are amazing. Great selection, helpful staff, fair pricing, very knowledgeable

Alex Thiessen: Friendly staff got us hooked up with rental bikes quick.

SHADI AL: from the brompton website as I was looking for specific setup and arrangement, and have the bike shipped to the store. What makes this store so special, is the extra mile the go in taking care of their customers , by setting up the bike and update the battery for the electric Brompton even thought I had it shipped using Brompton website.I just trust their work. I ended purchasing all the bags and accessories I need it for both bikes from them.

Susan Brinkerhoff: I bought an Orbea Vibe, and DJ and the crew were just wonderful about accommodating my needs. In the end, I have the perfect bike for me!

Sophia S: . I now have the bike and could not be happier. Thank you DJ and Electric & Folding Bikes NW!

Christine Martin: We just purchased two Specialized Vados - both a 4.0 and 5.0. Great service from DJ and team. Highly recommend this shop and super happy with the bikes.

Brett Worrall: Wonderful selection and service await you. DJ & company offer their personal touch in a good old fashioned neighborhood bike shop. Quick turnaround & great hours to help keep you biking! I've been a happy customer for over five years now...really love my ebike!

Alyssa Hays: Knowledgeable and fairly chill; you don’t have to know everything about biking or ebikes to feel comfortable shopping here. Over the past 4 years they have taken great care of us.

James Steel: Excellent selection of e-bikes and gear. Helpful people. Can't go wrong here.

Seattle Used Bikes: what do users think?

Andrew Gomez IV: I had engine trouble with my vintage '70 Honda CT90. Most shops will not work on older bikes. But they made an exception for me. This was a hard one to pin down what was wrong. Took it to them once and they fixed it up and ran well but after having it back for a couple of weeks it reverted to its bad performance. SUB took it back without hesitation. rechecked all their work from the previous visit, and found there was some additional electrical issue they didn't catch before. Only charged me for the new work done. Runs great now. Would like to go back to them for everything now, which I hope is not anytime soon!

James Michael: Right about December 1 of this year I walked into SUB asking for a favor. I wanted to lease the vacant lot next to them . Dave the Owner was not sure at first but said yes. As the weeks went by I could tell Dave ran a tight ship from his sales men to the guys in back. Customer satisfaction is what I saw not worried about the dollar bill. Dave and his shop are above reproach from a guy who had never been In his shop nor new that it was even there. So many times I heard are you happy can I do anything else for you.let me know. A true shop that actually cares about people and not just sales.

Michael Saalwaechter: I have bought a Moto Guzzi motorcycle, as well as countless motorcycle parts from SUB, and it has all been a wonderful experience.Jacques is very helpful and nice to chat with on the sales floor, and was able to answer all the questions about the bike I was going to purchase. I appreciated his insight about owning types of motorcycles I had never owned before, and the buying process was very easy, clear cut, and straightforward.Kevin has been extremely helpful in my search for parts for my bikes. He has helped me find unusual and limited availability parts, and helped me run through the warranty process for parts with manufacturing defects.I had a mechanical concern with the used bike I purchased here, and they were quick to remedy that problem even with a used bike sale.I will continue to be a customer at SUB as long as I ride! Great folks to do business with!

Liz Huber: If you want to work with pros, go to SUB! These guys are wildly helpful, knowledgeable, and do it right. Shout out to Jacques and Dave for being fantastic.

John Valentine: I worked with SUB to sell my 2020 Z900 and the process was flawless. They inspected, detailed and listed the bike within a day or two of getting it to them and within a month, it was sold at asking price. Very reasonable cost and would absolutely sell and buy with them again.

Stephen VanMatre: These folks are great. I couldn't imagine an easier buying experience.

Orlin Henderson: Love this place! I bought my pre-owned 2016 Vespa Primavera here in 2020 for a very reasonable price. Since then they have changed out my battery, tightened up my brakes, replaced a broken rear turn signal housing, & when they tuned my brakes they also pumped up my low tires. Thanks folx! Nice guys, every one, and extremely helpful. I’ll be going back probably forever.

Marshall Miller: Wonderful staff.

Jeremiah Smith: Great service.. Great scheduling, work exceeded expectations.

Ezra Layman: Awesome place! Great staff, highly recommend

Damian Magista: Dave and his crew are easy to work with, knowledgeable, and know how to prep a bike for market. They made the process of selling my beloved Ducati simple and painless. These guys are solid.

Montayas Taylor: These guys are the best! Especially the service department. I had a Desmo service and some minor issues with my bike and they were always willing to help. Strongly recommend.

Kolby Fenner: Best collection of bikes under one roof I've ever seen. Who knew? From the front it looks like a hole in the wall but don't be deceived. Worth checking out no matter what your bike ownership status is. The staff are chill and helpful. Great shop

Cari K: Graet customer service!Way better buying experience than at any dealer I've been into. 100% recommend!

Patrick Shoniker: Awesome bike shop…All the bikes they have are really cool.I was riding down from Alaska to South America and decided to go back home and got in touch to store my bike while I was gone. Every one I spoke to on the phone and in their shop was super helpful and passionate about bikes which is super cool. The service was great and I can’t recommend this place enough.

Jake Saylor: Worked with Chris and had a great experience purchasing a v-strom from them! I definitely appreciated all the support and knowledge Chris had as this was my first motorcycle purchase. The whole process was fast and not difficult to complete. I definitely recommend.

Julia: You can absolutely disregard any of the negative reviews for Seattle Used Bikes; Thom & his team were wonderful and accommodating as we enter PNW riding season with a minimal wait for a set of new Michelin Road 6 tires for my older Suzuki. Everyone was welcoming and took some time to bring my attention to a few things that need replacing down the road. Very fast turnaround and competitive pricing.I'll definitely be back for service in the future, and maybe to pick up a nicer bike eventually! SUB has one of the best assortments of your dream used motorcycles I've ever seen in one place; we're talking Ducati, MV Augusta, and even a 6-cylinder Honda CB..! Great people, highly recommended.

20/20 Cycle: what do users think?

Blaire Ziegan: David helped me throughout my whole bike buying process. I knew absolutely nothing about bikes and he was patient and answered all my “dumb” questions. I didn’t end up finding my perfect bike at their store. But, when I wanted new tires for the bike I did up buying from FB marketplace I knew I wanted to give them my patronage.David again helped me pick out the best tires for my particular case. He finished the work within the hour. The next day I needed a few other necessary bike accessories like a helmet and light - Chris helped me find a good helmet and gave me some more knowledge on bike mechanics. These two people made my experience as a novice biker that hasn’t ridden since childhood a 10/10.If you need help you’ll be in good hands with them!

Stephen Contreras: They've got a kind and knowledgeable staff. I just had my bike tuned up for the new season and couldn't be happier with how well it rides now. My partner and I have been going to them for a while and will continue to do so.

Dina Glenn: and is very much steeped in the culture of this city and the neighborhood. They are friendly, very knowledgeable, and efficient.I walked in on a beautiful day for an inner tube and met the owner, Alex, who was really kind. They also totally fixed my shifter and installed a new cassette. My road bike feels better than ever!Support this well-established local business! They are awesome. 🌅

Brian Caine: Awesome and unique shop with a huge selection of used parts and very knowledgeable mechanics. I had a bent quick release skewer and they were able to replace it with a used one in under a minute for $8. The mechanic also gave me some great advice on how to tension my leather saddle and sold me a used brooks spanner for just a couple bucks.

Alex Schaefer: My fender had come off partway, and I know these guys are patient, friendly and helpful- and they don’t condescend. Came in for help and they had the spacer I needed to reattach it, adjusted it for me, and sent me on my way. A great neighborhood bike shop.

Robert Pakko: Beem here a few times and received fantastic service and fair prices each time.

Jose Coreas:

Karen Cowgill: д.

Rat City Bikes: what do users think?

rizzjohn: I really appreciate the service from Aaron and his crew. I was a drop-in last night with difficult to change tubeless MTB tires and they took care of it on the spot. Bonus: I got to browse the shop merchandise and the outstanding lending library. Check it out.

Glen Dale: Impressive selection of parts in stock. Needed a spacer for a threaded headset, and they had multiple to choose from. Knowledgeable pros about measurements. Little parts like that at their price simply can't be found online.

A M: Friendly and great service!

Jean Prominski: , said it didn’t need a full tune up, and charged me a small fee for the fix they did. I love honest bike shops and they certainly won my trust! I look forward to doing business with them again in the future. Thank you!Following up to this review… I just had another great experience at Rat City…. I have been trying to figure out how to convert my bike trailer into a ski chariot for my dog, so I could bring her cross country skiing. Burley sells a ski kit for this very purpose, but the trailer compatible with it is pretty pricey. I’ve been brainstorming creative solutions so I could use my trailer, but I’m not very mechanical. I took my trailer and the ski kit to Rat City, crossing my fingers that they’d be up for the project. Shannon was very kind, patient, and figured out a great solution for me! Although we didn’t end up using my trailer, she was able to modify the

Grant Shipley: Great service, extremely knowledgeable.

Dave Goldberg: Bike needed a complete overhaul. They came in about $100.00 UNDER estimate and were done early. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient!! My permanent bike shop for certain!!!

Deke Kotrla: I brought my old bike here after it started making weird noises and then the back wheel started not spinning freely. Another bike shop told me it was out of their expertise because I had a coaster brake. I brought my bike here and Aaron said "There's nothing wrong with it, I just greased it up." I guess I have to grease my brake. I didn't know that, and neither did the other shop. Riding my bike now, I noticed they even made adjustments to my front brake as well.I was charged a very fair price for a little bit of work and a lot of expertise.

Kyle Grotjohn: . Definitely going back 😁

emily p: Awesome bike shop! Awesome people. Shannon in particular was very knowledgeable and helpful discussing our bike issue and talking through the various possible solutions. I will definitely be returning to this shop in the future.

Johnathan Yelenick: Fantastic, funky shop that does good and honest work. Nice, efficient and to-the-point owner who you can tell cares about the apprentices that are working with him.

Sep: I am so glad I can go to my neighborhood bike shop for quick repairs and updates to my bike. I just walked in got a seat, went home and started to try to put the seat on... got seriously confused and came right back, lol. The shop owner was super helpful and kind and put the seat on for me. And he helped me pump my tires, adjusted my brakes and put on a cool little license plate for me. Thank you so much for your help!!!

John Paredes: Aaron provided great and clear communication when I needed a bike shipped to his shop from Brooklyn. Service on the bike was prompt and as described. Excellent customer service that you don’t find much anymore.

Gabriel Kettler: Stopped in with a bent bike axle. Owner/bike mechanic smacked the axle straight in about two seconds. Handed me a few really cool stickers and sent me on my way. I'll definitely be going to Rat City Bikes for any of my bike needs.

Eric Montanye: New to the immediate area and was directed that Rat City Bicycle was the place to go. I brought my first bike in expecting to drop off and gear back days later, however that was not the case. I rolled it in and was told “give me 10 minutes and I’ll help you out” - I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! Bike fixed, & for a fair price! Aaron knows what he is talking about and will get you set.6/5 stars - never going anywhere else

John: Aaron is the BEST BIKE SURGEON IN AMERICA. He really knows his trade. Honestly the most knowledgeable efficient and reliable and reasonable bike mechanic I could ever imagine. I EXTREMELY Recommend him!

Ryan Zenor: Neat shop with coolest bikes, and Aaron knows his stuff. Great prices and seems to have everything in stock. Used stuff too! My go-to bike shop from now on. Way better than waiting on mail order parts.

Highly highly recommend visiting the shop, checking out programming, and donating!

Imran M: Great shop, super fun to browse their parts and restored bikes. They never fail to have the random little part I need for a build, and when my partner needed a new shorter seatpost they proposed sawing the existing one to the right length and did it right then & there in 5 min. They also do great work in the community and are worth checking out for open shop, volunteer parties, etc.

Rebecca Chase-Chen: Bike works is the best! They are a rock of the community-serving everyone and spreading access and joy of biking. We have been going to bike works for almost 10 years for tune ups, bike parts, kids bikes and donations. 🤩Here’s a review from my daughter:Bike works has made learning to bike fun! -R.C. Age 10

Harshal: Great Bike shop --- even better flyers

Mom: they compassionately asked that I make a payment when I was able

William Duffy: . Definitely recommend.

Cruz: The guy who helped me out was super fast and friendly. Prices were really good too, this’ll definitely be the place I’ll go to from now on when I got bike troubles! Also they even gave me a free bike a few months ago from their donation program and the bike is super nice and works like a dream! Love the company and all that they do 🏼

Ride Bicycles Bike Shop: what do users think?

Zane:

Dennis Reber:

Josh Faucher:

Cal Silcox:

Jeevan Noel: John fixed my pedals like a gent, always good service

Sally Holmes: Love this bike shop, the best in Seattle! Has everything you need, and super kind staff.

Hannah Tobin: Recently bought a new bike with help from Hannah! She was so helpful and made the experience fun and easy. Great shop with great people.

Merilyn Moss: . All done in about 15 minutes or less, $20 + tax. Very happy.

Daniel Alatorre: Brought them a challenging repair with an uncommon component, crank arm with stuck screw on sprocket. Able to remove it with ease and got me back on my may to riding bicycle trials shortly after. Great shop!

justin howard: Came in asked for a new chain. Instead of just selling me one the bike technician informed me mine had a lot of life left. cleaned and adjusted it for me! Ride home was smooth as butter.Chill and honest shop.

Alex Paul: and about $30 for labor. I was in and out in under 45 minutes. Would absolutely recommend!

Jeff S: Small shop but it has a good selection of quality bikes, parts, and accessories. Staff is friendly but low key, knowledgeable but not pushy. Pleased with the racks they had in stock and put on my bike. A block from Roosevelt light rail makes the shop very accessible too.

Louisa Clayton: Bought a new bike from them in September and have felt amazingly well taken care of and supported pre- and post-purchase. Small, friendly shop with top-notch customer service. Bill, John, Hannah and Ryan—all super!

Daigoro Toyama (daihard): They're the best. I went in to have them adjust my handlebars and brakes. The mechanic, Justin, encouraged me to do it myself while he looked over my shoulder. I ended up being able to do the job myself! Not only that I learned a few great tips on working on my bike. On top of that, they charged much less than they'd initially quoted because " it turned out to be a lot simpler." THANK YOU Justin and Ride Bicycles!

I was pretty intimated and overwhelmed, but shawna walked me through the entire bike-buying process with a lot of grace and patience. She let me test-ride 2 bikes and helped me pick out the necessary accessories without trying to upsell me on anything. I will definitely come back for bike-related purchases. (mend)bicycles: what do users think?

Mike Watt: Mend is a great store - the owner James is a great guy, passionate about bikes, and they always have what you need in terms of equipment, parts, and services. Grateful to have the team at Mend as our LBS.

John Brooks: Walked in as total unknown. Kirk helped me put together a totally cost effective & useful cable plan to swap out my rear derailleur cable! Super gracious! Super fast! Thank you Kirk! Great shop!

Roger Sapp: Love this shop! I wrench on my own bikes and stop in for a part from time to time. I *usually* know what I'm talking about, but they really know what's up and are friendly and helpful when I'm fuzzy on details/out of my depth.

Yuko F: Had a warranty issue with my new Liv, and Mend took great care of me and the issue, even though I did not purchase the bike from their shop. Really appreciated their professionalism and help!

Ken Chang: Awesome friendly owner and staff. They all seem to be very knowledgeable and professional. Great lbs, with emphasis in LOCAL. I will never have to go another bike shop ever again. These guys are it.

David Hale Smith: Fabulous neighborhood full service bike shop. James and crew are super friendly and knowledgeable. Very helpful and happy to share information.

James Williamson: Kirk, at the Seattle Children's Mend location, discovered that the carbon fork on my old cyclocross bike was compromised. He took the initiative to investigate why my fork exhibited an 'unusual amount of lateral flex,' which ultimately led to this discovery.Attached is the photo he sent to me as evidence. Kirk's attention to detail may have prevented a very dangerous fork failure. I even previously took this bike to another bike shop and received a false green light.I'm truly grateful for Kirk's thoroughness and commitment to safety.

Daniel Watling: Bought a new Giant bike through mend and couldn't be happier with the decision and their efforts to ensure it was the perfect bike for me.

Cliff Naylor: agreed to take receipt of the bike, pack, and ship it for me. The bike was very well packed and in a timely fashion, and the whole process couldn't have been easier. Highly recommend.

Kyle Huber: Friendly knowledgeable staff- highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!

Wendy Callan: Great friendly service. Very knowledgeable team. Great job fixing up my 1999 road bike for a triathlon.

Jen St Cyr: This is one of my favorite bike shops in all of Seattle. Small and mighty, skilled yet approachable and generous with knowledge, some cool used builds and very affordable new bikes. I live in Rainier Beach but often come here for repairs. Don't sleep on this gem of a shop!

Connor Anderson: The workers were super friendly, gave me an honest estimate on cost and time to repair my bike, and it came back in great shape. Highly recommend.

Luke Schaefer: These are some real dudes. An hour into a 70 mile bike ride, I popped a rear flat a half mile away from these guys. I called, confirmed they had road bike tubes, showed up, and they gave me a great deal on the tube and even threw in a couple honey stinger waffles or whatever they're called for my journey. CANNOT recommend outfits like this enough that take care of all comers so well.

School of Bike: what do users think?

James Lin: Unfortunately Cory is closing shop soon, which is a shame because this is a wonderful local bike shop. Cory did routine maintenance on my bicycle last year, offering honest advice and very reasonable rates. The attention to detail was excellent. Cory tuned my gear shifter and trued my wheels. Sorry to see you closing shop, the neighborhood will miss you.

Rick Mohler: I've had multiple positive experiences with Cory. I bought my commuter bike from him and he's serviced it many times. He also has serviced my former 20 year old steel road bike and straightened its frame after a crash. I've also purchased an array of parts and accessories from the shop. In all cases, Cory provided me with excellent professional advice and extremely fair rates for his work. We are very fortunate to have his shop in the neighborhood!

Andy Pierce: Came in for a missing part on my Peloton bike cleats. Owner was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to find the exact part I needed to fix my cleats. 10/10 would visit again for anything bike-related.

Anna Trakhman: Cory runs a one-man bike shop! He’s extremely knowledgeable, if sometimes sassy. He custom-built my most prized possession: an all-steel gravel bike I use for everything, ranging from daily commuting around the treacherous pothole-y city streets to multi-day, gravel and single-track-y bike packing. He knew exactly what I needed, perhaps even more than I did. You’ll pay a premium for the quality work and thought he puts into his bikes, but consider it worth it to support a talented and dedicated small business owner. Go Cory!

Adam Magargee: Corey is awesome, I’m glad I found this little bike shop. It’s a small operation but he does well to take his time with you and get your bike back quickly. Fairly priced too, especially for Seattle. I’ll keep coming to him as long as he’s open.

Christopher Strautman: Originally stopped by to ask for a little air in my tires, which Corey happily offered. He reviewed the bike and his keen attention to detail was impressive as he walked me through all the critical parts that desperately needed replaced for my own safety. I appreciated his honesty and concern that we moved forward with bike repair. Some parts were delayed and he communicated that the pick-up date would be delayed, which I appreciated as well! Super happy with the results and fast turn around!

Brittany-Lauren Todd: Great experience each time I've been to this place. Mr. Cory is super knowledgable about all things bike related. He is always willing to answer questions and I always leave his shop having learned a lot. 10/10 would recommend.

Sathish Jothikumar: Came here for a bike fitting, and the owner was very thorough in learning about my bike and my ride needs to recommend changes after looking at how it currently fitted. He also gave suggestions on future updates I should be doing. Can't recommend this place enough for all your bike repair needs. He also has a stock of refurbished bikes which were well maintained!

Ramy Shoker: School of bike is in session! This is the type of spot that just ups your biking knowledge. Got my bike tuned with some changes to stock parts. The owner is fast, hard working, honest and personable. Never going anywhere else to get my bike worked on.

Hugh J.: Corey is a great guy, super honest and obviously passionate about cycling. Hooked me up with great bike and made a customer for life in the process. Can't recommend enough.

Bob Jacobs: Cory fixed for free what I thought was a chain problem, but it turned out to be a ME problem which Cory gently corrected. Wouldn't take a dime for the quick fix, so I asked Cory if he would accept a $10 donation on behalf of his forthcoming first grandchild. Cool shop run by a knowledgeable and cool guy!

Erika Stowe-Madison: Hands down the BEST bike shop in Seattle, WA. Cory, the owner, is one of the coolest humans I have met, with a world of knowledge and a deep desire to share, you will leave this shop not only with a quality repair/product but also a better human! Until next time, Cory-Thank you for the great experience!

Roydyn C: Cory provides a great personal service for new bike and bike component purchases, plus bike maintenance/repair and high value training.

Westside Bicycle: what do users think?

Gerry MacCamy: I brought in my knee scooter. Really needed a quick repair what with broken foot. Peter was busy but made room to do a prompt, thorough fix, at a very reasonable price. Really bailed me out of a tough spot.

John Pottle: . The shifting and the tape job are perfect. The cost was very reasonable. The bike was ready on the day promised. I brought it in on a thursday and it was done on tuesday. Highly recommend this shop!

Scott M: This shop is awesome. I had a puncture about a mile from here - I rolled in they immediately took my bike back, threw it on the stand, helped clean up the tubless gunk, cleaned and inflated the tire, gave some tips for future diy repair, all with a smile. It’s fun to find shops like this that just love being helpful.

rob gray: Probably the best experience I’ve had at a bike shop. Took my mountain bike in for a time up - they didn’t push any unneeded work, turned it around in the same week, and were super patient and happy to talk possible upgrades down the line and where to ride. Good service, friendly staff and I’ll be back for sure!

Valera Kolupaev: Didn't know my bike can work that good after a tune up folks did.Great service, awesome techs!

David Desrochers: They know and love bicycles and riding. Treated me real nice.

Robin Sinner: Finally found someone to get my brakes right on my 35 year old mountain bike and they only charged $10!

Gabriel Horstman: Highly recommend for purchases and tune-ups. Took in my stumpy at near closing time tonight, and they took the time to walk me through the basics of a tune-up, fixed my issues, and sent me home with the bike. Super friendly and helpful.

Matt Lucas: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for purchasing bikes and gear and also for service and repair. I have purchased my last three bikes here and have been very happy with the purchases and purchasing experience. BUT, I am even more impressed with the Service Department. Chad has work on my bikes a few times and has done a stellar job. He is a great bike mechanic and is always very fair with pricing. I have also has Chris work on my bike before and he also did a fabulous job. If you need service, repairs or upgrades on your bike, this is a great place to go.

Federico Ramos Puente (Spaniard): These guys know their bikes! Super helpful and chill people. No pressure to buy anything. Everyone here is amazing and willing to help. Great bike shop and great people working here.

Michael Wehling: Jason helped me today with a complex problem finding the correct set of parts and solution for updating an older bike. I was amazed at the level of effort he put into multiple parts queries finding the one compatible rear hub that would work for the conversion. He also deliberated thoughtfully considering the complexity of the conversion and walked through all the components needed double checking several times that I was ordering the correct parts and not overlooking anything. In addition to that, he thought about the end result and took the time to explain the options and limitations of the direction I was going and suggested substituting a slightly higher count chainring for better results.Exceptional excellence and a gem of a resource to keep bikes rolling in West Seattle.

Jeremy Spears: Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff.

Kirkwood Donavin: They did not have the parts I needed but were willing to help me with measurements for finding replacement spokes elsewhere. Much appreciated.

Gryffin Rust: I love west side bicycle they all are always super friendly when I visit them. They always figure what’s wrong with my bike and fix it quickly. And they know what’s going on around town revolving and races and stuff. One of my favorite bike shops

Michael Robinson: Saved the day! I was riding my fat bike on Alki Beach today and my crank arm fell off. I walked it several miles to the shop and got there about 30 minutes before closing. They hooked me up with a new crank arm at a reasonable price and put it on my bike and had me on the road again in less than 15 minutes. Quality service, highly recommended!

Jacob: 2023 Update: Still an amazing shop. They completely re-furbed my 10 year old Trek, and didn't even laugh at me when I came back the day I picked it up because I'd forgotten how to shift properly. A great local shop.Absolutely wonderful place to buy and service your bike. Good people - good pricing - and even offered us a loaner e-bike to use, for free, while they waited for a part to be delivered.

Good Weather Bicycle & Café: what do users think?

Jamison Leckenby: Came in for a flat and left with fix and more knowledge than I could retain. Very friendly shop and reasonable prices. Will be using them again in the future.

Jatin Chopra: Jason is an awesome person. He goes at lengths to address areas wrt bike assessment, damages estimates and charges reasonably. Never an instance of they trying to rip you off. My bike was recently damaged at a residential property and they offered to do a thorough evaluation while also making sure repair estimates are reasonable and in line with what insurance expects and the right format. Their sheet also listed a contact to an experienced lawyer in case I have follow up questions or legal requirements wrt bike law of Washington. No back and forth, just plain old professionalism. Super responsive via texts and emails tooNot to mention the awesome location of this store.Keep it up

Michael Stark: Nice small shop. Has everything I needed and friendly staff.

Kenneth Odem: Jason and his team are fantastic. Very swift, helpful and thorough.

Bry Osmonson: GoodWeather always comes through for me! This shop is my go-to when I need some work done on a bike. The mechanics are often able to get me rolling again in the time it takes me to sip a delicious latte from their other counter. They’ve got high quality parts, a wealth of knowledge and ideas, and treat me like a partner in the adventure. Thanks for everything y’all!

Hailey Colwell: Hands-down the best and friendliest bike shop in Seattle. The shop has a great vibe and the team are all knowledgeable and welcoming. Their repair service is fast and reasonable. My favorite thing about Good Weather is they care about community and never "bike-splain" - they're passionate about getting everyone out on bikes!

Abhinav Bhargava: Small and sophisticatedBeautifully crafted shop within the Chophouse RowGrab a coffee or a drink ! Must visit in Capitol HillLive music outside

Ethan Law: Awesome service model. They care about your overall cycling experience and are willing to teach you about their process. Combined with great coffee, what more could you want?

Michaela Meckes: Best bike shop in town! I’m not very mechanically inclined, but I trust that the team at Good Weather will take great care of my bike and give me a fair price. Highly recommend!!

Jay Ytell: thanks Jason!

Keli Hurst: Came in to get my bike tuned up, not knowing all of the things that were wrong but knowing it needed a ton of work. Now my bike rides better than ever! What a joy to experience riding the way it should be 😂 Everyone I interacted with at the shop was super friendly and I appreciate the thorough approach they took to examine my bike. The owner is pretty much the nicest person ever, which is appreciated by a cycling novice such as myself. He truly went the extra mile, even adding some extra Velcro to secure my bike bag. Now that I know how my bike should ride, I'll definitely be back next time I need a tune up. Thanks Jason and crew!

Z Mars: Best bike shop ever! The kindest staff who specialize in seemingly instant bike service needs and judgment free advice, in a beautifully designed space. Everything here punches well above the smaller space limitations: fair prices, knowledgeable and friendly and fast service, amazing coffee, drinks, and innovative food, cozy sitting areas, smartly selected goods and clothing, and most of all the vibe- it's clear that Good weather and Jason love the whole community and this reflects in everything from their social events, weekly rides and visiting experience. You can see all the hard work they do to foster creativity, friendship and fun. I can't think of a more inclusive and reliable shop that offers so much in a great location you'll be excited to take friends and family to.

Erin Bailie: Good Weather has been a bedrock for maintaining my bicycles for 4 years now. Even though I no longer live in Capitol Hill, I’ll gladly brave the parking on Pine to get my bike serviced here. I wouldn’t take it anywhere else. What I love about this shop is that the mechanics take the time to understand what I want. If they have a concern about what I’m asking for, they approach it with curiosity. I’ve never felt spoke down to or “mansplained” which I can’t say about many other bike shops.Jason is also a wealth of bike knowledge. Many times I’ve come to him with a project or idea, and he’s said “that’s cool, here’s an idea I have to make it better/cheaper/more sustainable, what do you think?”. I love that he’s down to collaborate.I can’t say it enough - these folks are kind, they keep my priorities close in mind as they work on my bike, and they stick to their word. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

Leah Rush: Jason and the whole Good Weather team are incredible. They got my commuter tuned up super fast, it’s shifting better than it ever has, and has made my rainy commutes much more enjoyable.

Harriet Morgan: Welcoming, highly-skilled staff, and a cozy ambience. Whether you need work on your bike, a question answered, or are looking for a delicous beverage - go to Good Weather! Can't recomend them enough - a gem for the cycling community!

Joey Chiang: Great service here, easy to book through their site. Jason is also great and super easy to talk to regarding bikes. The community and culture at the store is welcoming in all of my experiences there too! Great food at Tailwind in the same space as well.

Dylan Ahearn: Finally a bike shop that is looking to make you a lifetime customer instead of looking for a quick buck. Jason and team and ridiculously talented, kind, and easy to work with. Never going anywhere else again.

Mahsa Borhani: listened to me carefully, and then he explained to me what was probably the issue when he took off the tube I had tried to fit on myself with my new tire. My rim tape didn’t have proper coverage, so he put some nice cloth tape on there. I also bought a new tube and was glad he didn’t patch the old one, since patching is just a temporary fix. I really valued his easy-going nature, kindness, and informed approach. It’s always nice as a woman to go into a bike shop and feel like you are having a conversation without any condescension. I love talking about my frankenstein bike and how I’ve modified it over the years, and Jason seemed genuinely interested. I’ve always been more of a bike punk than anything else and I felt comfortable in this shop.

Velo Bike Shop: what do users think?

Cheerful Catunao: ! Really happy with their service. Awesome experience

Melissa Nguyen: awesome bike shop willing to help with any issues no matter how big or small! popped in mid-ride because i needed adjustments on my spd SL pedal tension and didnt have the tool on me. Brian and Paul were so kind to help not only that but check out my derailer and look over my bike to make sure everything was ok. Very nice staff, i felt welcome to ask questions and ask for help with my bike. Not to mention, prices super fair!

Kyle Roberts: Such a wonderful little bicycle shop in the heart of Seattle. I bought a Bianchi street bike here last year, and the reps were wonderful about talking through my preferred use of it, comfort level, price, and various aspects of more modern, high-quality bicycles. I'm no cyclist, and likely not their typical client, but it was a wonderful experience.Fast forward a bit over a year, and I was having a bit of trouble with the pump I bought, worried that I might have inadvertently punctured the tire. Prior to coming in, I thought I'd call and see what they thought. A very kind gentleman spent about 5 minutes troubleshooting with me before I realized that it was just my own idiocy on technique, and managed to immediately resolve the issue.High marks for quality, ease of interaction, and customer service.Side note: these bikes are rather expensive. If you're looking for a beater, you may want to call ahead and ask about inventory price points before visiting.

Drew Kossen: The team at Velo is dialed in! Velo really sets a high bar for their repair service and knowledge of bikes. Their communication is top notch throughout the repair process! What I appreciate most is their consultative approach, they work to solve your problem efficiently and cost effectively. They stand behind their work and will keep you riding smooth. Velo earned my lifetime business!

Elbert Mets: Brought my bike here for service and was impressed with the quality, speed, and professionalism of the service. Staff texted me with an itemized list of repairs along with the price, and answered the handful of questions I had along the way. Overall very impressed

Brian Deighton: we rented bikes for two days July7&8 The kids working in Velo were super patient, friendly, helpful, available. I think most bike shop people tend to be chill, but this crew was really were great. Bikes - were good enough!

Cassi Wika: Had a great experience- highly recommend!

Sima Moghaddam: I recently brought my bike to repair, they did a great job and took care of all components need to be fixed. The price also was reasonable. Their mechanic is also professional. The staff are knowledgeable and they did their best to fix the bike as soon as possible. Very satisfied with their work.

Anita Wu: Friendly service and really helpful! Thanks for fixing my bike!

Kyle Ricco: Had a great experience renting a bike for the day to explore the mountains to sound bike path! Definitely would recommend.

Kenneth Odem: Communication getting to the point of repair could be better, but the end result was great. The technician explained in detail what was going on, the fix, and suggestions to avoid the issue again - while demonstrating why it was an issue. Very helpful.Would have preferred they check before lubing the chain. I use a wax lube and they added a dry lube, resulting in having to degrease the chain. Takes a bit of effort and time.

Aspen: Really nice people and very reasonable prices. In stock with a lot of common bike gear and bicycles. Great customer service and respect. They even pump your tires for free! Overall 10/10 place to stop by. ☺️

Taylor Bell: Montlake Bicycle Shop is the best in Seattle! The staff is wonderful and ALWAYS does a great job with any problem you might have. They trained me on how to repair a flat on the road and set me up with all the right tools for it too! Gary, the owner is an awesome guy and truly does the most to make his customers happy! Very sad to be leaving Seattle but Montlake Bike Shop will be my go-to repair shop for whenever I get back!

s growdon: For months I have had an annoying rattle on my bike that a number of different bike mechanics could not identify or fix. I showed my bike to Gary and within 5 minutes he figured out that I was caused by my seat post and had it fixed. For free. Can't thank Gary enough - he's exceptional.

Laura Ionita: Gary and team are awesome! I was looking to buy a new wheelset and they helped me out so quickly. I went on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to swap out my old wheels with a new carbon set in half an hour. My bike feels like new and it's been an amazing experience all the way thanks to Montlake Bike shop!

Samantha Nerida: What a wonderful shop & people. So so helpful, friendly and patient! Really value good quality bike shop service when touring round the place, so thanks so much to Gary & the Montlake folks ☺️☺️☺️ Highly recommend

Bike Swift: what do users think?

Karl Steyaert:

Patrick Fay:

Griffin Chen:

Howard Stolz:

derrick ito: This shop knows their way around the inside of a battery pack! I'm so happy to have an electric shop around that is confident with modern ebike electronics and battery issues. Martin helped me get 2 batteries back in working order saving me thousands. I'll recommend them to anyone that will listen. A++

Gabe Van Lelyveld: This shop is top notch. I had a battery with a faulty charging port. Shipped it to them because I live hours away. They fixed it and got it back in the mail same day, all with great communication and at a reasonable price. Thank you!

Fabian Fourne: than other seemingly fancier options

Anthony Morales: . The second was too test ride different electric conversion options. At the second, the staff took plenty of time to answer all my questions, simulate my riding scenarios, and help me find the best setup for my situation. They are currently installing my system and I'll update if anything changes.

Anthony Phidel: Multiple repair stops here. Service continues to be incredible & consistent. As well as just genuine people working here who are willing to help. Thank you

Everett Talvo: This is the second bike that Bikeswift has electrified for me. Need I say more? Their systems are rock solid, maintenance-free and a heck of a lot of fun. And the entire crew is very knowledgeable. One recommendation that I would like to pass on, get the 80% charger. It will extend the life of the battery and will pay for itself. Or if you have other electric bikes and scooters, get the Cycle Satiator charger.
