Curtis Hilmes: Best macrons in town. I haven’t found a place to get better macrons. A good variety of flavors as well. Champagne makes a nice additional treat for a sit-down with friends.The various staff I’ve interacted with over the years have always been very friendly. A pleasure to talk to.The space is small, but you’re only going to hang out for so long anyway so it’s not a big deal.
Lindsey Tucker: Highly recommend the salted caramel, filled with actual caramel instead of a cream flavored filling. It’s refreshing to have macarons that are spot on in texture and flavors.
G M: Oh my! This place makes the best macarons we've ever had. We are huge fans. Tried macarons in Paris during our 3 week stay there, and Lady Yum's are far better. The staff is lovely and an absolute delight to interact with. The shop is gorgeous and the macarons are fresh, colorful, and so flavorful. treat yourself and stop by for an amazing experience!

Kristin Genna: I got to try the vegan brownie gooey cake here and it did not disappoint. It is so rich and tasty. It was packed on a Saturday night but we were still served fairly quickly. I only wish the ice cream portion was a little more. It really pairs nicely with the richness of the hot cake and I ran out of ice cream before I finished the cake portion. Next time I'm in town and I visit I'd probably order an additional scoop.

Mari Kim: nestled inside.But the wonderful staff there, Brianna and Patrice, continue to troubleshoot with me when they realized I was really hoping there was an alternative. It's hard to accept a note when your heart is insistent that there is a yes...They decided to call around to see if perhaps some of the other stores still had the last egg despite notes that the company was out. Sure enough we found one the last remaining white egg at the University Village Fran’s. I called and left my credit card so that I could pick it up the next day. Without their willingness to persist with me I would not have found that solution.If you also have very special chocolate lovers I highly recommend the large egg. It's only comes once a year, even if it is spendy. I would so add: take a lesson from me and don't wait till the last week.I don't know if they have vegan chocolate options. I would hope they do but uncertain as of now.

Randy took amazing care of us and let us try some of his delicious candy. He also makes his own fudge which is to die for! Skip Pikes Place's candy shops and just go right down the road to Sweet Mickey's. A guarantee you'll love it!

As you enter, it's candy drinks on your right followed by a wall of pick & mix style options from all over America & Europe, to the very back looked like some chocolates, to your left, unique and cute gift baskets for a number of occasions, and behind that the shop owner at the display and checkout counter, featuring in-house made truffles and fudge.I stuck to the pick&mix because for example there were candies from Italy & Canada I wanted to re-try, but also unique flavors I'd never imagined before such as "spicy Mango" which literally tasted like someone melted pepper and mixed it into the gummy. It's delicious if you're into interesting flavors. They had more traditional flavors as well like strawberry, grape, etc.The owner is polite and complimented my smile, so there's no way to add another star, because I can't but sure did help !

Traveling: I went to Seattle three days ago and just happened to walk by and enter Fran's Chocolates. I was greeted by Michelle and she gave me the whole background about the shop. Then Sarah told me about her favorite chocolates and the ones that I should get. Brianna checked me out and gave me activities to do and sights to see while i was in town. Thanks so much for the awesome hospitality and great service! Yall made my trip!
Mechelle Rosales: Beyond excellent customer service and the most exquisite chocolate I have ever tasted. I don’t normally leave reviews but I have to come to tell this story. Long story short, our beautifully boxed chocolates were unfortunately thrown away by mistake by our hotel staff. The chocolates were so good we wanted to repurchase the same order again because they were supposed to be gifts. Some of the same wonderful people were there the day before when we made the purchase and were surprised to see us again the next day. We told them about the unfortunate event and they replaced our exact order we were planning on repurchasing! All of it at no cost!

The scheduling was easy, she shared a bunch of pictures of examples and I could pick and choose the aspects I liked from each to get to the final result.The coordination was easy and seamless and everything turned out exactly like I wanted. We had some scheduling complications on our side and she was super flexible with the pickup timing.The carrot cake was delicious. The frosting was a Swiss Meringue Buttercream and was the perfect amount of sweet. It wasn't too thick and really added to the cake rather than burrying it.The 6" was a good size for a group of 8 adults and we only ate about half of it so there was plenty for leftovers.

Mary Lee: One of the biggest worries during wedding planning was the food we would serve our guests. Blue Ribbon really stepped up to the plate and delivered some of the best wedding foods, as said by our guests! Planning with Kelsey was a pleasure - she was always so attentive and responsive to all questions and it was just so reassuring to have her on our awesome vendor team. Our complimentary tasting was a great experience, and Kelsey took careful note of our preferences that were perfectly executed on the big day. I wasn't able to get to the desserts they provided, but our guests thoroughly enjoyed them as well. My husband and I love their lavender lemonade!
Adam Hendricks: so I don't consider a few paper towels being on the floor a problem. The only thing I might change would be that my team would have liked to know the exact amount of time we had available prior to our arrival so that we could choose a dish that can be properly prepared in that amount of time or less. All in all it was a very unique and enjoyable experience and I would definitely do it again if the opportunity presented itself.

Maria Foster: My team did an Iron Chef competition w/Pike Place shopping event with Blue Ribbon Cooking and it was amazing! The team had a great time and was still raving about it days later. I've been setting up events for Google for 6+ years and this is the best reaction I've ever had at any of my events. The staff was so kind, organized and fun to work with. Everyone loved the aprons Blue Ribbon had embroidered for us and I can say from start to finish, we had a great time.

We probably called and researched 4-5 different caterers, and none of them matched Blue Ribbon's fantastic menu, friendliness and professionalism of their staff, ease of booking/payment, and just overall a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to have Dave and his team for the event. So many of our guests commented what a lovely job they did and asked what catering company they were with. I would hire them again, but luckily I will not need to have another wedding for myself!

Jennifer Vaughn: My caramel latte was topped with a delicate, dreamy cloud of foam. The bacon and egg sandwich blew my previous standards for a good breakfast out of the water. The fresh house-made English muffin hit all the right texture notes and the seasoning in the aioli enhanced everything it touched. My only regret is not having enough room to also try a pastry.

P C: I will need to continue on my search for the best croissant in Seattle, because this place is not it.The croissant was too dense and not flaky enough.Of the five things I bought; the Kouign-amann was the best. The chausson aux pomme was the most disappointing. I actually don’t believe it should be called that as it’s an interpretation of what it should be: definitely a bit too cakey, more like an apple turnover. You would never find one with powdered sugar in Paris.The frosting on the eclair was great, but I’d actually like to see a little bit thicker, more airy layer of pastry.The parking in the neighborhood is definitely tricky. Make no mistake, if you live nearby, you should indeed go here. The food is good, and the people are lovely. I am just searching for the tip top and driving the city to find it.Parking: Be prepared to walk a block or two
Suman Grewal: The incredibly bad news is I found out that Rosellini's has a deliciously moist decadent chocolate cake that I can get by the slice. I can't think of another place I've tried that is on par or better. So now I run the risk of getting this any time I experience the slightest life hiccup where I justify getting myself a little treat. It's going to be a problem.Also, the morning bun is always a yummy choice. Cinnamon sugar with a bit of orange zest. This place is delightful.

We tasted a wide range of innovative flavor combinations, and easily found something that we both loved. She was also able to accommodate dietary restrictions – making a small gluten-free, dairy-free cake to go along with the primary cake. She worked with us to keep us on budget and delivered a stunning and delicious cake. We kept the top for ourselves and enjoyed it during our honeymoon and we fully intend to order a small cake to celebrate our anniversary!

Nick W: I got pretty lucky on my birthday in 2021, my previous employer gave me this cake. I think it was from a wedding shoot we had got done doing. Anyways it was a Poppyseed cake with strawberry jam. It was incredible! I only wish you sold slices. The frosting itself was just a bit too sweet for my taste. I like very little sugar, but everything else was incredible.
Kaitlin Gillespie: I’ve been lucky to enjoy Carla’s cakes twice, first at a friend’s wedding and then at mine, and I have only one conclusion -- she is a baking witch. How could you possibly make such fabulous cakes over and over again without a little bit of magic? My husband and I ordered a cake tasting box with six of her custom and unique flavors, and you know it’s a good problem to have when you struggle to choose just one. In the end, we went with one of her micro wedding cakes in the espresso pecan crunch flavor, which was so flavorful and fluffy with delicious crunchy pecan bites. We also asked her to add sugar flowers that matched our wedding flowers. It was definitely worth it. Her flowers added a beautiful custom touch that tied our dessert table into the rest of the wedding.We will absolutely be ordering an anniversary cake when the time comes. With Carla's guidance we chose a "micro wedding" cake to serve our 30 guests and not one bite was left over -- only the gorgeous sugar flowers! They have ice cream, soda, and hot drinks available to accompany the pie. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and you can get pies to eat there or to go. Good fast service and a clean interior. Sure it's a little pricy, but it's supremely good pie in a nice neighborhood next to the zoo, so what would you expect?
