He’s the reason I’m writing this review. Ryan was SO nice, professional, helpful, polite, and happy! He didn’t have to help us but he did. He’s so easy to chat with too!! He is in the perfect position and I can see him moving up with the company with his drive and positive attitude! I hope all of upper management sees this review and acknowledges him for his stellar customer service!!!! Please take extra great care of Ryan because he deserves it!

Lindsay Griffin: I’ve been going to Academy Athletics for over 3 years now and absolutely love it! Highly recommend if you are looking for a group fitness class. The classes themselves have a great mix of cardio and strength training. There is a nice variety of equipment in the gym and no two days are identical so you’ll never get bored of the workout.The trainers and Lionel are all super supportive, kind and helpful. They’ll help correct your form, create modifications if you need it and push you to do your best. It’s a fun and friendly environment with a mix of people at different fitness levels. If you are looking to get in shape or stay physically active you should definitely check out Academy Athletics!

Madhukar Murali: I completed the 6-week challenge and won! Lionel's meal plan along with the quick 45 minute workout's are a beautiful combination to start your fitness journey. The gym is super hygienic and has a very pleasing ambience. The exercise's may seem challenging when you begin initially, but working out with a group really gets you motivated. A big shout out to Andreea and Monica as well. Would definitely recommend this gym to everyone.

The dude literally does 1000 things a day, but will still find time to check in with you or reply to your text at a blazing fast speed. He's always available for your questions and workout needs. The biggest reason I don't want to leave the Academy is Lionel!A big shoutout to the other trainers - Monica, Hoi, Andrea. Each of them have their unique styles, are always accommodating, amazing tips on how to adapt the workouts to an individual's strengths, and most of all, friendly. Taking a session here will be your highlight of the day!The workouts are Tabata style High Intensity Interval workouts. The first 6 weeks are an amazing journey that will make you realize how simple it is to achieve your fitness goals! A meal plan is devised for your individual needs with a recipe list. And of course, Lionel is available to answer any questions you might have with regards to it. I can personally vouch for the 6 weeks challenge - I went from 14% body fat to close to 12% and developed strength along the way.I can go on and on why Academy is one of the best places for you to join - not just for the workout aspect, but for feeling positive too! Do it! Just do it!

Bilal Ali: I have nothing but great things to say about Academy Athletics. Lionel and the other trainers bring a ton of energy and passion, and the workouts are really efficient. Each class is only about 40 minutes which makes them really convenient for busy weekdays.

Lindsay Jarrell: Lionel has changed my entire mentality when it comes to working out, nutrition and lifestyle. When I signed up for Academy Athletics it was my hail mary. I had tried numerous other programs that were not realistic to maintain or I gained all the weight back. Lionel changed all that with education and support. You have access to ask questions and he is very responsive and gives you enough info to be making educated decisions on your own by the end of the program. I felt like the odds were stacked against me, being postpartum, post covid & a few medical barriers, but the program worked & I have been continuing to use the tools Lionel taught me since the program ended and have maintained my weight loss and lifestyle. Many people have asked what changed, and I tell them "Lionel at Academy Athletics". The investment in Lionel and myself has paid off tenfold, easy.

Lawrence Fosnick Davis: Lots to do here. Classes of all sorts, 2 swimming pools, sauna, steam rooms, personal training, circuit training, weight room and lots more! They have child care tooThe new addition opened up and is a nice space to do a variety of exercises.New classroom for exercise added bringing the total to three and a ton of new classes!Also, 2 pools, hot tub, sauna and steam room.

Robin Bajra: Local establishment that been around for a long time, keep keeping on. Least amount of the riff raff in any other gym in the Seattle area that I notice, raise the rates please to keep that going, lol.

Matt Coleman: It's a treat to go the gym here. It's nicely appointed and generally not crowded.

Tonya Marmon: Nate is one of the greatest trainers I have worked with in 20 years. I went through 4 other trainers before I found Nate at Athletic Form. I was extremely nervous due an ACL surgery about a year prior and being focused on strength over cardio. I have been training with Nate for just over a year now and he has drastically increased my physical and mental strength beyond what I could have ever imagined. He knows your limits better than you do, and takes the time to know where you're at each session, without judgement, so he can tailor the session to you.Besides just Nate, every single person is incredibly welcoming. From day 1, everyone at the front desk knew my name.

Yi Chiang: Great location and amenities! I had a great time as a member of this gym; often taking advantage of the salt water pool and indoor basketball court.The equipment here has definitely seen better days and I eventually transitioned to another gym since that was more important in my book.The crowd here definitely caters more towards the older crowd, which was not ideal for me. However, If you’re looking for a place with many amenities and a great staff, look no further… I couldn’t recommend this place and its staff anymore if lifting isn’t your top priority.

Bradley Patton: For the past few months, I've been a member of this gym, and I can't rave about it enough! With its wide variety of amenities, this gym really distinguishes out from the competition, which is why I joined with no hesitation. There are a few interesting things about this place, including the fact that it's never crowded and the personnel, especially Lucky. My recommendation of this gym to friends has been aided by their encouragement.

Michael Schimke: My renewed enthusiasm in working out can be attributed to my new employment. A SAC membership is a health benefit provided by my employer. I just finished my first week of exercise, and while I'm a little sore, it's in a nice manner. I adore everything I'm learning from the incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming personnel here.

Terry Jung: it's been 1 week, so far it's ok. Ofc it could always be better with better furniture, better lockers, better atmosphere, better whatever but it does the job, it has a ton of various cardio equipment, lots of weights, various classes and can't beat the location. I do think the enrollment fee is a scam especially given how outdated this place is but i didn't have a choice. The pool is outdated and short in length [20 yards] but it is the only one available in this area so i appreciate it. Staff so far has been nice.

They pays attention to details, from warm-up, engage certain part of muscles, safety. Professional, highly efficient, and offers the most constructive guidance. Chassi has given tremendous help to achieve my personal training goal.

Trent, Chelsea, and Chassi are knowledgeable and welcoming coaches that take the time to teach and push all members. The coaches and members were welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I now drop in a couple times a month. The workouts are always challenging, but the skilled coaches can modify the workout to fit your needs. The atmosphere is supportive and the space is well laid out. If I lived in Seattle I would certainly be a full time member. Working out at Riot is always a highlight of my trips.

Heather Davis: , lift weights, and run on the treadmill. I also wanted the equipment to be highly available so I didn’t need to wait around, and the whole place to be clean and well maintained. There’s a lot of care and attention Seattle Athletic Club puts into having a clean, comfortable location. It’s always well staffed, there’s always parking, and they communicate with members about upcoming changes. They take care of the big things and the small things like hairdryers, cotton swabs, machines to wring out your swimsuit and bags, soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the showers, plenty of lockers with locks, large and small towels, and special social events. It’s a great place to work out - maybe even on those days you don’t quite feel like it.

Robert Hobbs: I had a less than favorable first impression of the club and was prepared to give up and join the nearby gym. Lena, however, had other ideas! My interest in this facility was piqued by her friendly greeting; the abundance of lessons offered and the cutting-edge equipment sealed my choice to join. Emily Ireland: I have been a member of Vice for 12 years and during that time trained with Joe Palumbo. He is hands down the best in Seattle. This is not a big box gym, nor is it cross-fit. This is truly a functional strength and conditioning training program that focuses on strength, mobility and injury prevention. Joe helped rehab two knee surgeries – and I am stronger than ever. He focuses on form to ensure that everyone is getting the most out of the lift, and more importantly does not injure themselves. He has taught me so much, that I have the tools for life when I enter a gym, from dynamic warmups to appropriate cool down and stretching. I am forever grateful to Joe and Vice for pushing me to be the best version of myself and in the best shape in my mid-forties! Jesse Taylor: A fantastic gym with trainers who care about you and truly listen. Well worth the cost. I went in with a nagging ankle injury. The focus on the entire body is helping me build real strength and stability, and really begin solving the hip weakness that caused my overpronation that caused my tenon problems.The other awesome thing is the barbell work. I not only feel stronger, but I’ve had a chance to develop good technique in the big Olympic lifts.Good mix of men and women of all fitness levels. You won’t get barked at here! But you will feel inspired to challenge yourself.Don’t go injure yourself and burn out after two weeks at crossfit!

David De Maria: I have been going to Pro Club for several months now. I typically go in the morning around 9am. The gym is quiet… Not a lot of people. But, enough to make you feel not alone. I definitely get my choice of what machines I want without having to wait. The gym is super clean. The staff is always friendly. The locker rooms are great too. Very clean and organized. There is a wet and dry sauna along with a jacuzzi. showers too. Parking is easy and they validate. So far so good…. I recommend!

Kyle Sneddon: If you're living in the Sandpoint/Windemere area there aren't a lot of gym options, but luckily the MAC is here and almost perfect. Love the large selection of weight lifting equipment, free classes, towel service, great staff, amazing views from the second level, free parking, and rarely crowded. For everything it offers the annual membership price is more than fair, and I plan to continue being a member for many years. My ONLY complaint is the hours....they close at 9pm on weekdays and 7pm on weekends, that's simply too early, IMO 10pm should be the earliest a gym closes.

I used to only do cardio but have noticed a huge difference in adding in regular strength classes. I also feel much more confident lifting thanks to all the coaching on form-the coaches take the time to meet you where you are at and are so encouraging. Can’t recommend this gym enough!

Ashley Edwards: While it may feel intimidating at first, please don't let that deter you. Accelerate is the absolute best workout I've ever experienced. I constantly find that I'm challenged in new ways, never hitting a plateau, always working towards something new. And while many class-style workouts can sometimes feel isolating, this is by far the best community out there. Cheering one another on through strength, classic, and especially maximum output days -- these are my people and I'm so so SO happy to have found this place.

Rosalie Corrigan: I have been to quite a few gyms in the area and accelerate goes above and beyond any others I have tried out. Brandon and the team have the best programming with the perfect mix of conditioning and strength. I never lifted before joining accelerate and can feel the difference adding in heavy weights has done for my overall power and endurance. The coaches give such great cues and tips on form so even if you are new to certain exercises they make sure you are doing it safely. The community at accelerate is also incredible. I always leave the gym feeling stronger from the workout and happier because of the encouraging and hard working people around me. It’s an amazing workout that leaves you exhausted yet always wanting to come back for more. Definitely check it out!

Jeff Edwards: The programming is top notch. The challenging workouts are balanced with encouraging coaches who help each member train at the right level for each individual. Three different class formats all help develop fitness, boost endurance, and build strength. Classes often feature a team element, encouraging interacting with the fun community of members. I've gotten stronger, fitter, and made some cool friends along the way. Definitely recommend checking out this gym!

Daren Bell: program that is the perfect mix of strength training, HIIT and cardio training. Not to mention the awesome Accelerate community they have built. This place has been an absolute game changer for me. After suffering through a severe back injury December 2018, I needed something to kick start my fitness regiment again. I started Accelerate in April of this year and I can honestly say that I am now in the best shape of my life. 15lbs lighter, more endurance than I have ever had, and my back issues and other problem areas are essentially a thing of the past. Alex Maloney: Great coaches and workouts! You never know what the workout is for the day so it kept me from backing out and skipping any days. Ro is only coach I worked with, but he’s fantastic at ensuring proper technique, keeping you motivated throughout the entire workout and making your legs jello. I had 2 shoulder surgeries so modifications and progression of my strength was my main concern when starting at this gym. It only took a MONTH for us working at it for me to get 25lbs over my head for the first time in 2 years. If you put in the work, you will see results!

Ryan MacDonald: Started coming here in March on a trial basis, and then became a member a few weeks later.I train with Randy who is knowledgeable and helpful with heavy lifting exercises and tips about nutrition, among other things. He has helped bring new confidence to my ability in the weight room and I have seen improvements in my technique and overall physique. Would def recommend him as a trainer!

I feel the gym is really well equipped. Lastly, the staff is awesome! Everyone has been super welcoming and helpful. I’m a ClassPass user but I am strongly considering canceling that in favor of a membership here! It’s been about three months of trying ECA and it’s made strength training something I look forward to!

As you can see from my photos, it is a jack of all trades kind of gym. It would try to satisfy all your curiosity depending on the type of workout you feel like doing.Not only that; my experience with staff was amazing. Liz gave me a tour of the place and even accommodated my needs in regard to making sure I was aware I can come in throughout the whole day even when I leave and decide come back.It has my needs in terms of strength training. They have 45s, 35s, 25s 15s, 10s, all the way to 1.25lbs.I was able to fine tune my workout for the day.I have high praises for this gym. If I lived in Seattle and work downtown, I would be a member in this gym in a heartbeat.Notice that it isn’t busy as well? This was on a Saturday.

The gym has a good range of equipment and enough space to ensure everyone can get a good workout, whether they are using free weights, machines or doing classes. Highly recommended

Joe is the nicest dude you’ll meet, and working with Zach has changed my whole approach to fitness.It looks like it’s closed from the outside, but I assure you it’s anything but. A little later hours during the week would be nice, but apart from that this gym is - in my view - perfect. A total unicorn.

Jan Nis: Worked out here twice while I was in the city. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Equipment is clean and new. Gym itself wasn’t crowded which I liked very much. Will def. come here again next time. 1st time trial, 2nd time $30 for the day.

Dana Cretu: UPDATE: I've seen the company take great strides in the light of recent events and commend their forward thinking to keep everyone safe and healthy. They were amongst the first of many companies to offer creative solutions to protecting the continued health and safety of their clients and staff, offering live remote classes at home, keeping us informed via email, and detailing what steps they were taking to deep clean and sterilize the facility. They've shown that they are proactive rather than reactive, and I wanted to give my thanks.Previous-For location and convenience, zum currently works for us. The people here are friendly, staff and gym goers alike, but there have been too many upkeep issues lately that have really gotten to my partner and I. Namely, the cleanliness of the facility in whole, the poor quality of the towels, the state of the products in the locker room, and other minor things. They have replaced a few machines and added a cold towel mini fridge, but these don't make up for what needs to be changed and upkept - especially the mats and towels. It's also uncommonly warm in this gym, winter and summer alike.

Dylan Rush: Great gym for the variety of equipment and free classes. They have monkey bars, rowing machines, climbing and warrior ropes in addition to all the equipment one would normally expect. Not too difficult to get a squat rack or bench press even at peak hours. My one complaint is that I never attended the classes, and the classes were right next to the cardio equipment and pretty loud and would always happen right around 5/6 pm. But sometimes trainers would play good music so whatever. Locker rooms were pretty clean. Decent sauna. Overall good value.

Markus Eng: A great gym for those who value the diversity of fitness and training methods. Yoga, martial arts, boxing and Pilates are some of the many practices here.

Julia Hlavacik: I hate the gym, but I love this gym. The owners care about their gym-goers and will learn your name before your free week is over. They learn what works for you and what doesn’t and help you modify. This isn’t a gym with a lot of frills, but they do have some frills that count like a clean locker room and free-to-use mats in the yoga studio. I didn’t like that I had to commit to a certain amount of time when I signed up because my job comes with some chance of relocation, but they have a reasonable cancellation policy if you move more than 50 miles away. It didn’t end up mattering because of my job and I have not wanted to cancel for any other reason either. I’ll be coming back as long as I live in Seattle. Haily Holt: , classes 2x per week, and occasionally going in on active rest days for light cardio. As long as you're using all of the benefits, the cost is *well* worth it.Nothing but great things to say about Rival. The gym has a great vibe, the staff is great, and I feel like I'm actually making strides on my fitness goals now.

The staff is wonderful, trainers are knowledgeable and authentic, the facility is always clean, and it’s rarely “too” busy like most gyms can be.Overall, this is the most welcoming gym I have ever been to. The energy in this place is always great. I tried all the other gyms in the area before coming to Rival and they really do not compare. It was a a no brainer the moment I walked in.

Kareem Ali: I started at Rival fitness with the strength squad which helped me learn lifting with good technique, introduced me to friendly people, and helped me go through some rough times since that was right after I moved to Seattle when things were under COVID restrictions, so the place means a lot to me personally. That was over 3 years ago, since then I have been a regular, 4-7 times a week, mostly very early mornings, the owner, the staff, trainers and trainees are very friendly, there is a lot of free weights as well as machines and I have done some powerlifting training, bodybuilding training, cardio, fitness classes, cycling classes, rowing class and a few other things so I think it’s a VERY well-rounded gym where you can find equipment and classes for most training modalities. The one thing I do not like would be when they do group classes on the gym main floor that takes roughly half the space, making it hard for anybody to train during those times.It’s definitely my favorite boutique gym in Seattle, 100% would recommend.

Liam Blodgett (L Blo): up to at least 32kg, floorspace to train ballistic KB movements and get-ups, open gym hours between 6:30-8:00am, permission to use chalk and train barefoot or in socks, a high bar for dead hangs and pull-ups.Three days in, Pro Fit is meeting my requirements at a fair price, and the staff has been helpful and courteous. My only request would be for a second 24kg bell in the class space, and/or a pair of them in the gym turf area.

Ian Hong: .It is well-equipped, always clean, and the staff and regulars are friendly. This is not an expansive gym, but in addition to the cardio equipment, it has racks, a smith machine, leg press, cable and plate-loaded machines, barbells and dumbbells, and benches. Even for those who are quite serious about their workouts, the equipment should be more than enough to get a great session in. Signup and cancellation were both very painless. Overall, I'd highly recommend this gym.

Bernie Macias: I've know about this gym for a while and decided to give them a chance after my gym moved. I like have a trainer with access the gym with classes. I feel like the trainers push you as well as listen. Personal I've made great fitness gains. They now have 24hr access.
