Westside Bicycle: what do users think?

Gerry MacCamy: I brought in my knee scooter. Really needed a quick repair what with broken foot. Peter was busy but made room to do a prompt, thorough fix, at a very reasonable price. Really bailed me out of a tough spot.

John Pottle: . The shifting and the tape job are perfect. The cost was very reasonable. The bike was ready on the day promised. I brought it in on a thursday and it was done on tuesday. Highly recommend this shop!

Scott M: This shop is awesome. I had a puncture about a mile from here - I rolled in they immediately took my bike back, threw it on the stand, helped clean up the tubless gunk, cleaned and inflated the tire, gave some tips for future diy repair, all with a smile. It’s fun to find shops like this that just love being helpful.

rob gray: Probably the best experience I’ve had at a bike shop. Took my mountain bike in for a time up - they didn’t push any unneeded work, turned it around in the same week, and were super patient and happy to talk possible upgrades down the line and where to ride. Good service, friendly staff and I’ll be back for sure!

Valera Kolupaev: Didn't know my bike can work that good after a tune up folks did.Great service, awesome techs!

David Desrochers: They know and love bicycles and riding. Treated me real nice.

Robin Sinner: Finally found someone to get my brakes right on my 35 year old mountain bike and they only charged $10!

Gabriel Horstman: Highly recommend for purchases and tune-ups. Took in my stumpy at near closing time tonight, and they took the time to walk me through the basics of a tune-up, fixed my issues, and sent me home with the bike. Super friendly and helpful.

Matt Lucas: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for purchasing bikes and gear and also for service and repair. I have purchased my last three bikes here and have been very happy with the purchases and purchasing experience. BUT, I am even more impressed with the Service Department. Chad has work on my bikes a few times and has done a stellar job. He is a great bike mechanic and is always very fair with pricing. I have also has Chris work on my bike before and he also did a fabulous job. If you need service, repairs or upgrades on your bike, this is a great place to go.

Federico Ramos Puente (Spaniard): These guys know their bikes! Super helpful and chill people. No pressure to buy anything. Everyone here is amazing and willing to help. Great bike shop and great people working here.

Michael Wehling: Jason helped me today with a complex problem finding the correct set of parts and solution for updating an older bike. I was amazed at the level of effort he put into multiple parts queries finding the one compatible rear hub that would work for the conversion. He also deliberated thoughtfully considering the complexity of the conversion and walked through all the components needed double checking several times that I was ordering the correct parts and not overlooking anything. In addition to that, he thought about the end result and took the time to explain the options and limitations of the direction I was going and suggested substituting a slightly higher count chainring for better results.Exceptional excellence and a gem of a resource to keep bikes rolling in West Seattle.

Jeremy Spears: Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff.

Kirkwood Donavin: They did not have the parts I needed but were willing to help me with measurements for finding replacement spokes elsewhere. Much appreciated.

Gryffin Rust: I love west side bicycle they all are always super friendly when I visit them. They always figure what’s wrong with my bike and fix it quickly. And they know what’s going on around town revolving and races and stuff. One of my favorite bike shops

Michael Robinson: Saved the day! I was riding my fat bike on Alki Beach today and my crank arm fell off. I walked it several miles to the shop and got there about 30 minutes before closing. They hooked me up with a new crank arm at a reasonable price and put it on my bike and had me on the road again in less than 15 minutes. Quality service, highly recommended!

Jacob: 2023 Update: Still an amazing shop. They completely re-furbed my 10 year old Trek, and didn't even laugh at me when I came back the day I picked it up because I'd forgotten how to shift properly. A great local shop.Absolutely wonderful place to buy and service your bike. Good people - good pricing - and even offered us a loaner e-bike to use, for free, while they waited for a part to be delivered.

Cooper Dean: Huge fan of Gregg's Greenlake Cycles!! It's a great shop of course, and meets all my needs, but more than that it's the awesome employees that make the difference. Nikolaus Trede: Had a problem with my derailleur and showed up at 10AM. Chuck let me in right at the hour, was very friendly and expertly solved the problem in one minute - and then did not even want to take any money for it! Very happy with the service I received. Highly recommend Gregg's!

Zane:

Dennis Reber:

Josh Faucher:

Cal Silcox:

Jeevan Noel: John fixed my pedals like a gent, always good service

Hannah Tobin: Recently bought a new bike with help from Hannah! She was so helpful and made the experience fun and easy. Great shop with great people.

Merilyn Moss: . All done in about 15 minutes or less, $20 + tax. Very happy.

Daniel Alatorre: Brought them a challenging repair with an uncommon component, crank arm with stuck screw on sprocket. Able to remove it with ease and got me back on my may to riding bicycle trials shortly after. Great shop!

justin howard: Came in asked for a new chain. Instead of just selling me one the bike technician informed me mine had a lot of life left. cleaned and adjusted it for me! Ride home was smooth as butter.Chill and honest shop.

Alex Paul: and about $30 for labor. I was in and out in under 45 minutes. Would absolutely recommend!

Jeff S: Small shop but it has a good selection of quality bikes, parts, and accessories. Staff is friendly but low key, knowledgeable but not pushy. Pleased with the racks they had in stock and put on my bike. A block from Roosevelt light rail makes the shop very accessible too.

Louisa Clayton: Bought a new bike from them in September and have felt amazingly well taken care of and supported pre- and post-purchase. Small, friendly shop with top-notch customer service. Bill, John, Hannah and Ryan—all super!

Daigoro Toyama (daihard): They're the best. I went in to have them adjust my handlebars and brakes. The mechanic, Justin, encouraged me to do it myself while he looked over my shoulder. I ended up being able to do the job myself! Not only that I learned a few great tips on working on my bike. On top of that, they charged much less than they'd initially quoted because " it turned out to be a lot simpler." THANK YOU Justin and Ride Bicycles!

Cascade Bicycle Studio: what do users think?

Ayman El-Khashab: Went in hoping to find a metric shoulder bolt for my sworks bicycle. Even though there were other customers in the store, they went back and sorted through a bin of bolts and found the bolt that I needed. I really appreciate that kind of service and I'll definitely be going back when I need things in the future. It's also a really beautiful store with some really amazing high-end bicycles, parts, and accessories. And one of my favorite plant shops is right next door.

Jonathan Espinosa: Cascade Bike Studio is hands down the go-to spot for bike repair and service! Kelly worked their magic on my grupo, fixing it faster than it shifts – talk about impressive! What's even better is that Kelly took the time to walk me through the fix, sharing valuable knowledge so I can tackle similar issues on my own in the future. Their passion for biking and willingness to educate customers like me sets them apart. Needless to say, I'll definitely be returning for all my bike service needs. Huge thanks to Kelly for their expertise and helpfulness – you're the real MVP!

Conrad Meyer: Brought my bike in for help determining if the frame was damaged and they were super friendly and helpful!

Evan Gray: Cascade got my gravel bike dialed in and ready for race season! Customer service was outstanding, the environment in the studio was great, and they were very communicative about my work order. Thanks Cascade!

Avani Reddy: I was on a bike ride and my derailleurs got stuck, so I popped into Cascade Bicycle Studio. They were able to identify and fix the problem so quickly - and they were so nice and explained what happened, didn’t charge me for it either since it was just alcohol spray. I was able to continue on my ride no problem after! Highly recommend and will go there in the future for bike issues!

Adam Fisch: Great bike shop! Had a broken freehub and they were able to find the right replacement component in the shop and fix it in 5 minutes. Looks like an outstanding place for new bike builds and fits. Definitely will be back!

Abhay Gupta: .

Tom B: Met Erik in Bangkok and would like to make a point of coming here when I visit the states. Absolute bloody legend

Richard Siegel: This is the place to go for your road, gravel or mountain bike needs - Joseph and his team have continued the legacy of CBS and strengthened it with great service, clothing selection and top level bikes. I've been counting on them for years, and never been disappointed - for simple fixes when I walk in on short notice, to full service seasonal rehabs, I have always counted on them for a great experience!

Joseph Farino: . Thank you CBS!

Larry Hanelin: I have used this shop 4 or 5 times and have always received the most courteous and prompt service. Today I needed a minor repair on my trike and the owner, Mike McKean took the time to do the repair even though he was short staffed for the day. In addition he spent time trouble shooting a power meter problem that I was having. This type of service and thoughtfulness is priceless. Check out this bicycle shop. I think you will like it.

Char Beck: High-end bike shop, friendly staff, exceptional service!

Phil Cammarano: and she absolutely loves it! From fitting to final delivery, Joseph and Riley were helpful, patient and answered all of our questions. Communication was great and they made all efforts to get the build done on time. Will certainly refer friends and family.

Brysten James: Riley was extremely helpful and efficient!! I came in frustrated and in a rush because I needed to leave town shortly, but my bike was not working properly. I was looking for a quick fix and some understanding on what happened, and I got exactly that. Customer service. Quality Bike Care. 5 Stars.

Craig Parsons: and helped me troubleshoot a pesky creaking issue I had been chasing. These guys clearly love what they do. For anyone who is into high end and/or custom bikes, this place is worth a visit. Awesome combo of know-how, personal service and amazing bikes. My new favorite shop.

Sharan Daniel: custom bike. I'm willing to spend money on my favorite hobby, but I'm far from a money-is-no-object bike buyer. They updated the fit on my non-custom bike, making an adjustment that yielded a bigger improvement than I would have imagined. I wasn't sure I was a great candidate for a custom bike. So I am pretty amazed and really happy that my new bike is even more comfortable and fun than my old faithful one. Joseph helped me spec the bike, choosing the components and accessories to optimize the bike for the way I want to ride. He advised me on where it made sense to spend more and where it probably wouldn't in my case. The designer at Seven Cycles also did a thorough interview. The result is truly a dream bike to meet my aspirations as well as my current riding. I can imagine riding it a lot of miles over a lot of years.

Lori Sills: These guys are great! I sliced open my tubeless tire on a broken bottle on the trail and they helped me out with a new tire on the spot. A++ service. Plus, so many pretty bikes to check out while they were installing the new tire.

Morgan Nissen: Love this studio! The space itself is beautiful. I love the open layout, the beautiful lighting, and the beautiful frames hanging. What I love most is the people and the inviting environment. As a female cyclist, I don't always feel comfortable at bike shops, and it is completely different here. Cascade is still new, and I am so excited to see the impact they will continue to have on the community!

S G: Amazing people, good quality products.

Zubin: Gary was super helpful! He took the time to answer questions and helped fill up my tires

Grayson: John helped me fix my flat super fast and even gave me an educational overview of the mechanisms of my new hydraulic disc breaks. Thanks!

Jeff Schwartz: Impressed with the folks here and the new shop. I ran into some trouble mid-project, and brought my bike in to have them finish the job, which they did speedily, along with some extra assistance along the way. Always fun when the shop takes a real interest in my bike. Glad to have these guys so close to home - will be back.

Montana Harkin: Great People, Great Shop, Great Mechanics!I look my cargo bike in for it's yearly checkup. I could do all the work myself, but I appreciate the people and the effort they put into my bike.Got my bike back and damn, it's riding better than ever! A full service of the brakes, brake pads, and drivetrain made such a difference! They even took the time to straighten out my derailleur hanger which has made shifting 👌perfect. Bike is silent now!I've read a few negative reviews here, and all of the followups as well from the shop. Seems like a lot of people want to get something for free from the shop. It's really nice to see owners care so much about their work and business, and follow up on all reviews to make sure every customer is happy!

Sara Ondricek: The owners were both knowledgeable and prompt with service. So happy I took my bike in. I’ll be back for sure!

Christopher Heckerman: First class bike shop excellent customer service experience worked with me to fix only what I can afford and got me back on the road no hassle stress free very great full definitely a returning customer and will refer everyone over the other guys Greatly Satisfied

Osh Morethstorm: 5 out of 5 stars. I learned that chains are not all the same and got a new one put on. My bike rides fantastically now and I couldn’t be happier. Also they have nice bikes for sale!

Luis Sova-Rayas: Jessee kept his doors open until we finished my transaction past closing time. Friendly bike-bros - thanks for my FIXIE!

Sharat Sindoor: Highly recommended ! Great service and really nice people.

Rae Wise: Carlos is such a great mechanic, and so friendly and considerate and kind. An overall delightful person. And Andy was able to smooth over a problem for me with such grace and efficiency. I am so thankful for these mellow fellows! Highly highly recommend!

Tyler Manthei: I bought a nice bike at a great price, and the staff offered amazing customer service. Highly recommended

Nate Samuelson: I've had such a great experience each time I've used Mellow Fellows for tune-ups and repairs. Their parts are high quality and reasonably priced, as are their tune-ups and other services. Carlos is knowledgeable, experienced, and was very helpful when I wasn't certain about the specific repairs I needed. I'll definitely be using Mellow Fellows again in the future!

Jimmy Zee: and for installing these great fenders that keep my bum dry!Good price, great service, friendly people

Tom Forst: I took my bike here after I got in over my head on an upgrade project and managed to mess up my chain. They got my bike back to me in perfect order the next day, with the upgrade finished, and were super friendly! Will definitely come back for any future tune ups or service.

Kenneth Odem: This was already a 5 star review, but revising with comments. No matter what I throw at Andy/Jesse, they handle it with care and precision, from big asks to small tasks. Where at other bike shops, I have to take my bike in consistently for the same issue, MBR just gets it done right, and super fast. Highly recommend.

Métier Seattle: what do users think?

A D: I’ll start by saying: If you haven’t had a bike fit, go get one at Metier! Todd worked some magic to make my ride super comfortable. I was also having saddle problems, and he was able to find me a saddle that was perfect! Aside from fitting, they have a great shop, amazing group rides, and bomb coffee.I highly recommend visiting Metier to see all they offer.

Fred Burnside: , found the place to fix it, called me on Saturday evening, let me drop the bike off when they were closed to get it shipped and fixed, and explained everything I needed to get back rolling. All at great price and asking questions I had not even thought of. I could not ask for better service. Customer for life.

Edison Lumbantoruan: Awesome atmosphere and top notch mechanics

Joan Nguyen: Iced matcha latte is really good but they somehow mess up my order every time I go

Jermaine Whitehead: , but not to too many to make it feel cluttered. It’s such a welcoming neighborhood spot perfect for anyone stopping by for a quick coffee on the go or for those looking to catch a replay of a race and a leisurely beer. I look forward to my next visit

Ben: coffee. Very cool store too, if talking isn’t your thing. Try the new cold brew!

Gabe Runner: needs!

Dan Barker: because it was worth it. I will continue to work with Todd as I continue to train for different events. His bike shop and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

George Herriott: A great experience at Metier. The coffee was so good and the service was fantastic. Great service in the cycling side too. The rep greeted as if I was a long lost friend. He answered every question anbout bikes and technology. A true expert. My next cup of coffee and my next bike will be purchased at Metier. In addition, what a unique and amazing facility. Nothing else like it in Seattle.

Szabolcs Petrus:

(mend)bicycles: what do users think?

Mike Watt: Mend is a great store - the owner James is a great guy, passionate about bikes, and they always have what you need in terms of equipment, parts, and services. Grateful to have the team at Mend as our LBS.

John Brooks: Walked in as total unknown. Kirk helped me put together a totally cost effective & useful cable plan to swap out my rear derailleur cable! Super gracious! Super fast! Thank you Kirk! Great shop!

Roger Sapp: Love this shop! I wrench on my own bikes and stop in for a part from time to time. I *usually* know what I'm talking about, but they really know what's up and are friendly and helpful when I'm fuzzy on details/out of my depth.

Yuko F: Had a warranty issue with my new Liv, and Mend took great care of me and the issue, even though I did not purchase the bike from their shop. Really appreciated their professionalism and help!

Ken Chang: Awesome friendly owner and staff. They all seem to be very knowledgeable and professional. Great lbs, with emphasis in LOCAL. I will never have to go another bike shop ever again. These guys are it.

David Hale Smith: Fabulous neighborhood full service bike shop. James and crew are super friendly and knowledgeable. Very helpful and happy to share information.

James Williamson: Kirk, at the Seattle Children's Mend location, discovered that the carbon fork on my old cyclocross bike was compromised. He took the initiative to investigate why my fork exhibited an 'unusual amount of lateral flex,' which ultimately led to this discovery.Attached is the photo he sent to me as evidence. Kirk's attention to detail may have prevented a very dangerous fork failure. I even previously took this bike to another bike shop and received a false green light.I'm truly grateful for Kirk's thoroughness and commitment to safety.

Daniel Watling: Bought a new Giant bike through mend and couldn't be happier with the decision and their efforts to ensure it was the perfect bike for me.

Cliff Naylor: agreed to take receipt of the bike, pack, and ship it for me. The bike was very well packed and in a timely fashion, and the whole process couldn't have been easier. Highly recommend.

Kyle Huber: Friendly knowledgeable staff- highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!

Wendy Callan: Great friendly service. Very knowledgeable team. Great job fixing up my 1999 road bike for a triathlon.

Jen St Cyr: This is one of my favorite bike shops in all of Seattle. Small and mighty, skilled yet approachable and generous with knowledge, some cool used builds and very affordable new bikes. I live in Rainier Beach but often come here for repairs. Don't sleep on this gem of a shop!

Connor Anderson: The workers were super friendly, gave me an honest estimate on cost and time to repair my bike, and it came back in great shape. Highly recommend.

Luke Schaefer: These are some real dudes. An hour into a 70 mile bike ride, I popped a rear flat a half mile away from these guys. I called, confirmed they had road bike tubes, showed up, and they gave me a great deal on the tube and even threw in a couple honey stinger waffles or whatever they're called for my journey. CANNOT recommend outfits like this enough that take care of all comers so well.

Rat City Bikes: what do users think?

rizzjohn: I really appreciate the service from Aaron and his crew. I was a drop-in last night with difficult to change tubeless MTB tires and they took care of it on the spot. Bonus: I got to browse the shop merchandise and the outstanding lending library. Check it out.

Glen Dale: Impressive selection of parts in stock. Needed a spacer for a threaded headset, and they had multiple to choose from. Knowledgeable pros about measurements. Little parts like that at their price simply can't be found online.

A M: Friendly and great service!

Jean Prominski: , said it didn’t need a full tune up, and charged me a small fee for the fix they did. I love honest bike shops and they certainly won my trust! I look forward to doing business with them again in the future. Thank you!Following up to this review… I just had another great experience at Rat City…. I have been trying to figure out how to convert my bike trailer into a ski chariot for my dog, so I could bring her cross country skiing. Burley sells a ski kit for this very purpose, but the trailer compatible with it is pretty pricey. I’ve been brainstorming creative solutions so I could use my trailer, but I’m not very mechanical. I took my trailer and the ski kit to Rat City, crossing my fingers that they’d be up for the project. Shannon was very kind, patient, and figured out a great solution for me! Although we didn’t end up using my trailer, she was able to modify the

Grant Shipley: Great service, extremely knowledgeable.

Dave Goldberg: Bike needed a complete overhaul. They came in about $100.00 UNDER estimate and were done early. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient!! My permanent bike shop for certain!!!

Deke Kotrla: I brought my old bike here after it started making weird noises and then the back wheel started not spinning freely. Another bike shop told me it was out of their expertise because I had a coaster brake. I brought my bike here and Aaron said "There's nothing wrong with it, I just greased it up." I guess I have to grease my brake. I didn't know that, and neither did the other shop. Riding my bike now, I noticed they even made adjustments to my front brake as well.I was charged a very fair price for a little bit of work and a lot of expertise.

Kyle Grotjohn: . Definitely going back 😁

emily p: Awesome bike shop! Awesome people. Shannon in particular was very knowledgeable and helpful discussing our bike issue and talking through the various possible solutions. I will definitely be returning to this shop in the future.

Johnathan Yelenick: Fantastic, funky shop that does good and honest work. Nice, efficient and to-the-point owner who you can tell cares about the apprentices that are working with him.

Sep: I am so glad I can go to my neighborhood bike shop for quick repairs and updates to my bike. I just walked in got a seat, went home and started to try to put the seat on... got seriously confused and came right back, lol. The shop owner was super helpful and kind and put the seat on for me. And he helped me pump my tires, adjusted my brakes and put on a cool little license plate for me. Thank you so much for your help!!!

John Paredes: Aaron provided great and clear communication when I needed a bike shipped to his shop from Brooklyn. Service on the bike was prompt and as described. Excellent customer service that you don’t find much anymore.

Gabriel Kettler: Stopped in with a bent bike axle. Owner/bike mechanic smacked the axle straight in about two seconds. Handed me a few really cool stickers and sent me on my way. I'll definitely be going to Rat City Bikes for any of my bike needs.

Eric Montanye: New to the immediate area and was directed that Rat City Bicycle was the place to go. I brought my first bike in expecting to drop off and gear back days later, however that was not the case. I rolled it in and was told “give me 10 minutes and I’ll help you out” - I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! Bike fixed, & for a fair price! Aaron knows what he is talking about and will get you set.6/5 stars - never going anywhere else

John: Aaron is the BEST BIKE SURGEON IN AMERICA. He really knows his trade. Honestly the most knowledgeable efficient and reliable and reasonable bike mechanic I could ever imagine. I EXTREMELY Recommend him!

Ryan Zenor: Neat shop with coolest bikes, and Aaron knows his stuff. Great prices and seems to have everything in stock. Used stuff too! My go-to bike shop from now on. Way better than waiting on mail order parts.

Alki Bike & Board: what do users think?

Brooke Bachesta:

Kayla Finch:

Mary Anderson: Friendly and helpful got my helmet there so cute! Want these socks but not my size

Sean Mccarthy: A real old fashioned friendly bike shop with an experienced knowledgeable staff committed to you buying the bike that’s best suited for you. Most importantly, they will be there when you need your bike serviced, upgraded, replaced or anything else. Their commitment is to safety, quality, affordability, customer service and community stewardship. They stand out as the best of the best and are cherished by residents of West Seattle. A true community treasure.

Xavier Canale: Great bike place, fast professional services

Jason Jordan: Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Colleen Royer: Dayton was amazing this Memorial Day weekend setting myself and my husband up with new bikes and gear! He listened to what we wanted and had recommended bikes ready. The shop set everything up before we left to make our first rides easy. The shop was busy and still customer service was friendly and attentive. Thank you!

Aaron Zielke: Staff are super helpful, and turnaround time on maintenance is really fast. Very reasonable prices. Will be making AB&B my go-to shop.

Seattle E-Bike: what do users think?

Kimberly Pham: We're in the market for an Ebike suited for island life, so we decided to visit Seattle E Bike. The staff here are knowledgeable and friendly, offering a wide range of options in terms of brands and models. They even provide the opportunity for test drives so you can experience the bike firsthand. While the bike we considered isn't inexpensive, it's among the best we've encountered thus far.The store is conveniently located next to a restaurant and across from Green Lake. They also offer repair service.

Eva Derksen: Very nice people and great, quick service. Will definitely keep coming back here for e-bike services!

Grant Hansen: Awesome guys very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful

M Williams: Trevor and the whole staff were super helpful with my e-bike problem. Thanks guys

Laura Eagin: Dropped in on a Saturday afternoon and found such a nice variety of bikes and an attentive expert to answer all our questions. There's a lot to learn with e-bikes, and such a range of models and prices here. Randy was very helpful!

T Caner: Above and beyond! I had a flat and Seattle E-bike had me out with a new tube in no time! I’ll be bringing my e-bike here for service surely!

Danielle Whitehurst: Bought a new ebike here as an upgrade to my old one. Went into the store knowing what bike I wanted and they had it on the floor. I did a test ride and loved it. Randy was super helpful. Purchasing was easy since they had one in the back in my size too. There was a manufacturer problem with my charger and they swapped it out no question. Even gave me a gift to make up for it. Would recommend.

Chandon Clenard: Great E-Bike buying experience. Knowledgeable, friendly service and reasonable prices. Special thanks to Tremor, Randy and Josh.

Quinn Van Order: Huge selection of E-Bikes and super friendly staff. Big thanks to Randy for helping me get all set on a Topstone Neo 5, it's proving to be a fantastic bike, tons of fun!

Nam Nguyễn: demeanor, and willingness to help. He totally understood my situation, as I had my bike recently stolen. He immediately got me hooked up with a great electric bike, and after this experience, I will absolutely rely on this business for all my future purchases and repairs, even though they are well in West, Seattle, and myself in the Central District.I wish their business hours were a bit more expanded, but I wouldn’t mind making time for them to make sure they get my business.

Robert Fuerstenberg: Friendly, professional service from knowledgeable staff.

Mikk Kaschko: I only needed a quick system update for my Bosch ebike but the front desk guy and mechanics were super nice and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend going here for bike service!

Denis Diacon: Super

J Mo: Really helpful staff and good assortment for a small shop- not just for elite, top of the line bikes. Very much an approachable neighborhood bike shop- community service in action. They didn’t push sales but were available and very knowledgeable about all kinds of questions. Very happy with my bike purchase- a very positive experience on all levels.

Wesley Eubanks: A friend and I went there for a screw that we needed for another bike and the guys also helped me make a decision on a future purchase I wanted to make , I would say they were very helpful knowledgeable and friendly. If I needed anything and we're in the area I would definitely see these people again.

Will JP: , I can affirm that the quality of work the shop put into assembling my bike was absolutely top-tier. All in all I have had a VERY good experience here and would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

Bridget Carson: Seattle E-Bike has an amazing team that is very knowledgeable & accommodating.Mackenzie did an amazing job wrapping my bars with a wrap I brought in with gel inserters. Alex shopped and advised on new tires. When my preferred tires were not available through their distributor they had no issues with me purchasing from elsewhere and having the tires shipped to the shop. My bike was ready an hour after the tires were delivered. The cost was reasonable and transparent.

Recycled Cycles: what do users think?

Lauren Grabowski: The perfect bike shop! A great array of new and used quality bikes, and incredibly nice and knowledgeable staff.

Zane: Skip is the man! He offered great service and trust

Jennifer Evans: This is the best bike shop in town. Knowledgeable mechanics who don't try to get you to spend more than needed but who know how to keep an older bike functioning well. They also know about old and vintage bikes and work thoughtfully to maintain those as well. We have recently had all of our bikes repaired and/or tuned up there, riding one bike in and picking up the finished one. I love this shop.

Vivek Subramanian: Very knowledgeable and friendly folks. Also a budget friendly bike store.

Gaspar Rodriguez: Excellent bike shop!

Andrew Kullman: Great people in here listening to great music and fixing bikes. Enough said.

Brandon Lee: for same price as “re-cycled” one’s being sold. Specifically some Kona pedals, chainring bolts & a freewheel. Miss the pre corona shutdown prices & membership that made cash pricing easy. Still my #1 shop but now I check eBay/Amazon.

Natalia Chambard: which is so helpful as a new biker, and a great reminder for everyone. I highly recommend going to Free Range Cycles!

Daniel Lauzon: I came in looking for some miscellaneous hardware for a project bike. Shawna, the owner, was very helpful and the shop was so well organized I found what I needed right away! Shannon Rebersak: . I think the quality and transparency at this bike shop is above and beyond, so I will be back another time when I can give them my business!

Taylor Alexander: I recently purchased my first bike to use as my primary method of transportation after having to junk my car. Everyone at this shop radiated warmth and inclusivity. I was pretty intimated and overwhelmed, but shawna walked me through the entire bike-buying process with a lot of grace and patience. Wright Brothers Cycle Works: what do users think?

Lukas: Charles is a wonderful person to work with

Jake Cooper: Less like a bike shop and more like going into the garage of a bike nut. Charles has tools I've never seen, 50+ years experience, and is cash-only and affordable. The guy can fix anything.

Foodie Man: Came in with a flat tire on an old 60s era Schwinn. Charles has the tubes and was a pleasure to work with. Thanks again! - Brendan from Vermont

Howard Young: I took my 1975 Motobecane Grand Record to Charles to get the wheels trued, bearings serviced and new freewheel installed. Charles did what I asked and dealt with a lot of other issues at a reasonable price. I asked if my wheels were in good enough shape for a 1200K brevet I had planned and he suggested I have him build a new set of wheels that were more robust. He built up a beautiful set of wheels with Campy Nuovo Record hubs and Mavic MA40 rims for a very reasonable price. They perform better than the wheelset on my modern road bike. Charles had been very helpful and I feel like he is my team mechanic!

Bener Celenkoglu: Charles embodies more than just a skilled craftsman; he also excels as an exceptional tutor, generously imparting the profound insights he has garnered through mastering his craft.

Paul Wade: You need your wheels built . Charles is the godfather of Seattle s wheel builders . He's the one who taught all of them in the area. Had him biyld four of my back Wheels. And Im hard on them but I could not bend his wheels. So skip the students and just go to the master builder.

Amy Liu: Charles is great. He has masterfully fixed up 2 of my secondhand bikes that were in quite sorry shape. His expertise and attention to detail, and also enthusiasm for teaching are all much appreciated. He also was very responsive to service requests by phone and text. Highly recommended.

UT: I went there when I went whbpc in Seattle 2011 tourGood memory.

Kunal Narang: Good experience overall! Charles is knowledgeable and will try to diagnose the problem quickly. I will try to visit this place in the future for repairs.

Rachel Song: Positively the best local bike shop. I’m new to biking and have always been a bit intimidated by bringing in my bike to a shop but Charles is so kind and will fix up your bike at a fair price. Went in for a basic tune and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Brendan Thatcher: Fantastic shop- did a great tune up on my bike at a great price. Highly recommended!

Bryanne Manzitti: Charles is the best! My bike now rides and looks brand new after a tune up. Very fast, honest, and efficient. Excellent attention to detail. Won’t bring my bike anywhere else for as long as I live in Seattle!

Abby Weingarten: If you find developing a relationship with community businesses and investing in your local economy meaningful, this is the place to do it. I blew out my tire this morning on the way to work, and called Charles on my way home. He welcomed me over to the shop as soon as I could make it and had my tire patched up within 30 minutes. On top of being super accommodating, he was kind and informative about future care for my bike and transparent about pricing. He has been in business for decades and is without a doubt a trustworthy person to seek care for my bike in the future!

Rex McDowell: Wright Bros and Charles are a great Seattle biking resource! I used to do all my own work in their shop. Built my first set of wheels there after taking a wheel-building class from Charles in the late eighties. My maintenance skills have gotten a bit rusty in the ensuing years, so Charles has taken over and does great work. He's also built a wheelset for me. BTW, I bought this Colnago Sprint frame from his shop in 1987 and built it up there. Did a metric century on it yesterday.

andra luca: Charles is the encyclopedia of everything Velocipede. With a tool collection worthy of a museum. And an eye for detail and craftsmanship - unmatched. Thanks to his patience in explaining away some of my ignorance - I now actually understand how bikes work. Sure you just want to drop off and be on your merry way - but what's the hurry, spend a few minutes and learn about your favorite toy The Bicycle. I do hope he will be able to teach classes again soon. And if you have a chance - do get your wheels built in his shop. The craftsmanship of wheel-building cannot be churned out in factories, and having them built locally is extremely affordable.

Marisa Morgan: You would think that in Seattle, where bikes are everywhere, it would be easy to find a bike shop that knows what they're doing. Sadly, this is not the case. I recently painted my bike and took it somewhere to be reassembled. They did a garbage job of assembly and I've had problem after problem with it since...And then I brought my bike to Wright Brothers. This is not a store that panders to hipsters and their adorable cruiser bikes. This guy knows what he's doing. And it shows because he's booked up for the foreseeable future. It must've been my lucky day today because my shifter cable loose and I stopped by his store, and he was amazing. Had me riding in no time, and as it turns out there were a few more problems than just the shifter cable, which he fixed for an insanely reasonable price. So glad to have found this gem of a bike repair shop.

Jacky “Jack Keychain” Chen: . He would find the cheapest and most effective way for the customer to fix their bike prior to taking on the project. He did not allow me to step away while getting my deflated tire fix; now I know how to fix a flat. He allowed me to shadow him, the next client thought it was just a handle bar jam, but Charles thoroughly looked through the bike, fixed every possible issues and made it better. Glad, he'll be around for another 5 years. If you take your bike seriously, you better go to Charles! He owns his bike shop since the early 80's, and he's here to stay!Side note, if you want him to retire "early", buyout his building for $5mil in cash :

JRA Bike Shop: what do users think?

Dan Crakes: I’m new to the neighborhood and I’m so glad to have this shop in the area. They are nice and approachable and super knowledgeable. I’ve been a bike rider for many years. I came in needing some spokes for a wheel I had messed up in several ways. They gave me what I needed for a fair price and noticed a problem I had not figured out yet and told me how to fix it. Above and beyond! Thanks neighbor!

Anna Trakhman: good service at a reasonable price!

ACL: They said it shouldn't be a problem and they were right.I've had the bike for 10 years and it has never had a tune up. Prior to this I've always tried to tinker with it myself but it was time for a pro. I am so glad I took it in to JRA. They went all through it and adjusted the rear derailleur as well. They also put on a new chain and even adjusted my brakes; wow, it feels like a new bike, well done!

Sundar Sharma: Excellent selection of parts and helpful service. An amateur mechanic’s dream bike shop for finding components, even rare ones. A neighborhood gem.

Isaac Graham: Great place!

Andrew Hout: Great shop! Staff are very understanding and easy to communicate with. Would recommend.

Alex R: Excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere

Sourabh S Shenoy: Great quick service, low prices and they won’t fleece you like other shops by trying to upsell you. Highly recommend!

Arianna Yang: An ideal local bike shop experience. Bought my first bike here and have had wonderful experiences getting service on two other bikes I bought second-hand. Always helpful with questions that I walk in with. Decent selection of new bikes that is all listed on their website and a great selection of bike accessories and tools.Even when my bikes are in great shape after being serviced here and I have nothing I need I still want to come out since it's just such a nice shop.

Brett Markle: This is the best bike shop in Seattle. Their prices are fair and their service is simply the best. Very impressed with this shop. Thanks JRA!!

Rohan Sohani: I went in with some brake issues and needed to have my wheel reset after it got dislodged. They were able to do it on the spot and were so nice that they didn't even charge! Will definitely be back eventually for maintenance and any other repairs that are needed.

Derrick Sobrien: amazing service . squeezed me in at short notice . got me out of a pickle . highly recommended

Jack Yinger: The folks at JRA are kind, knowledgeable, communicative, and down to earth. The vibe is good, the service is good. These people really care.

Natafoo: so I was very ignorant in proper bike fit and everything related. Corbett walked me thru the process, answered all my questions and then some, and I walked away feeling pretty confident in my purchase. Since then, Corbett has responded to all my follow-up questions, as well as others in the shop helping me make small adjustment to fit my needs. I plan on using them for all my future bike related needs and would recommend them to anyone.

Richard S: Knowledgeable, but not pushy or snobby staff. Great selection of bikes and accessories. Very conscious of safety.

William Bedard: I came in with an estimate for a complete drive train replacement from another shop that gave me a bad vibe. The work was quoted by JRA for less even though JRA were supplying new brake pads and new cables, parts and labor, both brakes and all cables which was not included in other higher estimate from other shop. JRA called and told me i had some cracks near spokes on back wheel which was missed by other shop along with the cables and brakes needing replacement. I brought them a spare wheel they switched cassette no extra charge it was even less than the quote i was given. I picked up the bike and it looked amazing all work promised and completed earlier than promised. The bike has seen a ton of milage, a couple wrecks, and stored outside for 3 seasons. Today it rode like it did day one back in 2013. I am so happy i ended up at JRA. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and affordable this is the best shop in town!

The Bikery: what do users think?

Justin Kimball: Learned how to adjust my front derailer. Thanks!

David Walton: Service and product and knowledge are awesome

David Bahm: due to the all-volunteer staff of bicycle fans. It's worth working your schedule to arrive during their hours.Very convenient location to ride your bike to, along Hiawatha Street, connecting Dearborn to the I-90 bike route.

Harsha Konda: What a place !Fantastic place to learn to fix your bike. The volunteers do an amazing job with helping you learn to fix your bike

Edwin Forster: My wife and I flew in from out of town on a Sunday. We needed help getting a repair. Bikery was open, helpful, and we are so appreciative of the result!

Brian Macklin: Super nice people

Bryce Ulrich: Super helpful, relaxed, well equipped

Daniel Revier: This place is great. I don't know much about bikes and the folks here were super helpful and careful to explain what I should be looking for in a commuter bike. They also pointed me to Recycled Cycles, which is up by the University of Washington campus. 100% these people live and breathe bikes, so you can trust them.

William Terrance: Excellent little nonprofit bike shop, with friendly volunteer staff on site to assist while you complete repairs on your own ride. Tons of used parts, and a community vibe. Come here to get some knowledge, fix your bike and meet some cool folks in the biking community. Used bikes are available for sale.

Brandon Lu: Very bike kitchen. They have the patches that I love.

Chris Nad: Had a great experience. Having very little knowledge, Mike was a super good teacher and very patient with me. Would definitely recommend!

Nickolaus Fuerstenberg: I visited The Bikery to fix up my brakes and add a bike rack and basket to my bike, and I was warmly greeted by Aaron, one of the volunteers who works there. I shared with Aaron the things I intended to work on, and indicated that I was not quite sure what to do, and he said "no problem, I'm happy to help you out. Let's have a look." I learned several great tips for adjusting brakes, learned about how to lube my shifters, and with Aaron's help to find a spacer part to make the bike rack fit over my disk brakes, got the bike rake and basket on as well. The vibe felt very warm and folks felt like community -- everyone was working on their own thing, often using used parts and shared tools. I would go here again just to work on my bike in good company.

G&O Family Cyclery: what do users think?

Luke Distelhorst: The only place I take my e-cargo bike! Also, I called a major "coop" retailer and 1. they didn't know what charger I needed when mine died, and 2. they don't keep them in stock and said it had to be special ordered. Called G&O which had it in stock and stayed open late for me to come pick it up 30mins laters. Great shop, great people, top notch service.

Drew F: .The quality of the bikes and equipment is excellent, but the humans in the shop are what makes this business really special. Highly recommended for e-bikes and services.

Nicole Dolan: went to G&O to test ride a bike. When they got back, I was surprised how excited our son was to tell me about going to the bike shop. The toys and coloring pages were a highlight. This was a first for us. It was actually easy to go on an errand with our son there. We later went as a family to test ride a mid-tail cargo bike for me. It became clear why our son loved the bike shop when I stepped in. I was amazed how welcoming and unpretentious the entire staff were. Jenna was very helpful getting the bike set up for me to ride it. She took the time to show me the bike and point out different features before I rode it - something that many shops don’t make time to do. I found the Bosch system to be easy to use and more adaptive than other systems I had tried, and I really liked the belt drive system for ease of maintenance on commute. We ended up buying not one, but two bikes from G&O. The pick up experience for my bike was amazing. Davie tailored his bike overview to my bike experience level and spent time letting me test out different things, like dropping the battery, with him there to guide me through it. He takes the time to set each bike owner up for success so you actually want to ride your bike. While I was there, I got to watch Davie interact with a few other customers. He really wants every bike owner to be safe and happy, regardless of if they purchased their bike at G&O. His activism in the bike community really shows and is part of how he runs his shop. Confidence is instilled with every customer.I've put 450 miles on my bike in the last 4 months. I just went in for a tune up. It was the first time we used the restroom there, and they had a toddler toilet seat to use too. They think about not just their customers, but the entire family. We will be coming back to G&O service on an ongoing basis. Thank you for all that you’ve done to make your shop welcoming to the community!

Katherine Tassery: I got a flat tire on my cargo electric bike, that I use every day for commuting and kid transport. I called around to get it fixed ASAP, and all other bike shops quoted several weeks. G&O was able to get me up and running within a day, at half the quoted cost of other repair shops. I am so lucky to live nearby! Great experience.

Claudia Aita Costa: Yes, there are a lot of bike shops around, but come into this one and find out why it is special.

The Leonards: Its a grip to get here from where I live on the South end and it was well worth the drive. If you're looking to buy a top of the line cargo bike with the specific goal of getting your kids around, this is the only place to go. You can feel that kind of care given to family biking throughout the entire process. They make sure to tell you that building your bike will take as long as it takes to ensure their mechanics are not over worked as to not make mistakes. We're glad to have bought our bike here!

Kelsey Rote: They have been incredibly kind, informative, and helpful throughout the process of test driving bikes and then deciding, ordering, and receiving my bike. They're wonderful and I love my new Tern NBD!

Brian Wood: Very thorough service. Extensive, easy to follow, service notes were provided giving me confidence in the work. Spokes, belt tension, brake pads, electronics and dozens of other details were attended to. I will continue to bring my wife’s Riese & Müller to G&O!

Jeff Mills: One of the best bicycle stores I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Their ebikes are some of the best on the market. Their Customer service is as good as it gets !

Andrew McKinlay: I broke a spoke while truing my bike wheel. They were able to cut a custom length spoke and charged me less than the bus ticket it took to get here… all for less than the cost of the bus ticket! Very helpful to people who do not have a car or can only afford to do mechanical work themselves.

Phillip Duggan: I love this place! Such a great selection of bikes that are hard to find anywhere else. They're really helpful in comparing options to get the bike that's right for you. And they're really great with service, even in the pandemic when things are busy and difficult. They were able to squeeze me in for something quick to make sure it didn't become a bigger issue.

William Gerdes: Great service staff. Very thorough and affordable for this level of attention.

Martin Frasch: The family bike store of choice! Very friendly, very professional, great service, great overall experience. Great selection of stuff that matters and works well.May 2022 update: going strong!!

evo Seattle Store: what do users think?

Elizabeth Ambrus: to go through an in-depth fitting with me and to explain all of the nuances along the way. And I ended up with a phenomenal pair of boots! Would 100% recommend coming to evo for any ski and snowboard services!

mark hetrick: I had an issue with binding mounting recently that was enough to be very noticeable. After a few phone calls and of three times sending me to someone else who could supposedly help I just went to the store in Seattle. I live 3 hrs away including a ferry ride, so not a trivial trip. I’m happy to say EVO made it right and gave me a new off the rack same pair of skiis and mounted properly. So a bit of a runaround but fully satisfied with the solution! Great guys in the shop!!!!

Loten Lhatsang: Came to get new snow board boots and equipment and had an amazing time with Joe. He answered all my questions and I’m very satisfied with my purchase!

barbara kielhofer: GET YOUR BOOTS HERE! I thought I was cursed to a lifetime of foot pain but after not one but two days of adjustments my life has been changed...they even said to come back if it gets bad again. Customer service through the roof to get you the perfect fit. They actually care and how many places can you say that about these days?

William Briere: and evo still did heat molding for me on them

Robert Galvin: A few different people helped me buy a few different pieces of ski gear and they are all super friendly and knowledgeable, 10/10 would buy from them again

Ethan Busse: Shoutout Dan! My gf needed to get her boots fitted as they were a size and a half too small. Dan was eager to help and did an amazing job getting them to fit perfectly!

The shop is also has lots of used and new parts and cool bike builds to look at.The events and rides they host are amazing too! Happy to give my money to an organization that I can see the work they are doing day to day

kostondub: An amazing community resource. Whether they're teaching bike repair classes, doing charity drives, organizing group rides, hosting bird watching and education or helping keep tires out of a landfill. Thanks for supporting local Seattle cyclists. We need more joy and compassion in this world Bikeworks delivers.

Chris Sinco: Great LBS in South Seattle that has fair prices and quick turnaround for repairs. Also a lot of inventory on used parts to pique one’s curiosity. Not to mention the staff are knowledgeable and not bike snobs!

Shannon Ren: I have only ever had positive experiences at Bike Works both at the shop where I had my bike tuned up and through the Adult Programs where I’ve taken classes, volunteered, and participated in programming. Bike Works is an integral part of the South Seattle community providing resources to everyone and encouraging people to ride bikes in an equitable and compassionate way. Highly highly recommend visiting the shop, checking out programming, and donating!

Imran M: Great shop, super fun to browse their parts and restored bikes. They never fail to have the random little part I need for a build, and when my partner needed a new shorter seatpost they proposed sawing the existing one to the right length and did it right then & there in 5 min. They also do great work in the community and are worth checking out for open shop, volunteer parties, etc.

Rebecca Chase-Chen: Bike works is the best! They are a rock of the community-serving everyone and spreading access and joy of biking. We have been going to bike works for almost 10 years for tune ups, bike parts, kids bikes and donations. 🤩Here’s a review from my daughter:Bike works has made learning to bike fun! -R.C. Age 10

William Duffy: . Definitely recommend.

Cruz: The guy who helped me out was super fast and friendly. Prices were really good too, this’ll definitely be the place I’ll go to from now on when I got bike troubles!
