Kamonegi: what do users think?

Alex V: which were delicious. A cute date night spot.

Cody Li: Came here on a night where reservations were all booked out, but luckily was still able to get a seat at the bar! The kabocha “chicken wings” tempura as an appetizer was amazing. Crunchy exterior just like chicken wings with a savory glazing. Kabocha itself is naturally mildly sweet so the flavors combined well. I ordered the Shrimo Bisque Seiro special and was thoroughly pleased! The soup had great umami and the soba had a nice consistency to dip it in, I needed to gulp the whole bowl of soup afterwards from how amazing it was!

Aburiya Bento House: what do users think?

MICHAEL MCKAY: , and we were absolutely impressed with the freshness of the fish, and the quality of the cuts. A couple of non-nigiri stand outs included the delicious shrimp shumai and one of the chef's appetizers, that had several fishes, avocado, and more all in one tasty bite, and the Aburi tower is a can't miss.. We had some great toro, scallop carpaccio, uni, I could go on. If you are in the market and want some really fresh and tasty food in a non-touristy environment, this is the place.

Kokkaku: what do users think?

Nia: The Wagyu Ragu

James Wald: so they didn't need any extra sauce. The Australian Wagyu NY Strip was cooked perfectly and was delightfully tender, with a nice grilled flavor. I didn't care for the potent sesame steak sauce. Overall, this is an impressive restaurant for the size and their attention to detail is noticed and appreciated.Dietary restrictions: No one asked, and it didn't seem like modifications would be made if requested

Anna Louie: We think the food is just alright and nothing too special. The service was also really mediocre as well. I do like the location, the ease of parking and the vibe of the restaurant, but I probably wouldn’t come back for the food alone. I have to say, though the happy hour menu is one of the best ones in Seattle if you’re looking for budget and quality.

Heather Wang: hoooooly all the food was SOOOOOO GOOD!!! every single bite was met with pure joy... so so so so so tasty. the service was unmatched- so friendly and attentive!!! it was like they could read my mind and knew what i needed before i asked. but honestly even if the service was bad i wouldnt care because the chef's talent is absolutely INSANE. the food... omg...... i cannot emphasize how YUMMY everything was. everything from the drinks to the desserts were so delicious. also everything is very fairly priced! my partner and i got the tasting course for $45 per person. with drinks our total came out to be around $120 without tip. when i left i had to unzip my pants because i was sooooo full. so worth the money!!! thank you guys so much and see you again soon! 😄😄😄😄💞

Catloverextreme _: and it was a pleasurable experience. Great modern jazz playing at a comfortable level on the speakers and pleasing lighting and ambiance. There were 2 servers and 2 chefs. The servers were so friendly and knowledgeable. The kitchen was open so you could watch the chefs prepare everything. I've cooked in this setup before in restaurants so my only gripe was at one point one of the chefs was on his phone...he used gloves while preparing the food but nothing will take me out of the moment and potentially gross me out more than a food service worker on their phone. Who knows, maybe he was checking his Bitcoin bag, it's been pumping lately, lol. I won't fault them for that, everyone is glued to their phone these days. This place is wildly awesome and I will be going back whenever possible. I'm not from the area, visit alot from Alaska so the neighborhood was not familiar to me but it was chill and safe feeling with other restaurants and bars. I was staying in the downtown area so it was about a 35 dollar uber ride one way. All in all 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.

Maneki Restaurant: what do users think?

McKenzie Billeaudeaux: , a delicious cold dish perfect for sharing.Service was also very lovely, our waitress was sweet and friendly and also had great taste in music.I would say this was an affordable dinner, especially considering the quality of the dishes. We cannot wait to return!Parking: There is a paid parking lot directly behind the restaurant however BEWARE when entering the lot off of S Main, especially if you have an average to lower set car! The pavement there is busted and the decline is steep, the bottom of your car will get hit! There are additional ways to enter the lot from Maynard Ave.

Sainyane Xiong: Amazing and authentic Japanese spot! Felt so cozy and felt original. The food was amazing and the service was very good. The portions are worth the price. The sashimi in particular was fantastic. The fish was prepped so well and beautifully and just melts in your mouth. Some of the tables are small - so some of the meals are hard to fit in small seating spots but it wasn’t horrible to rearrange some things.Eat here!

ISSIAN: what do users think?

Mohh Gupta: and fresh + tasty food. Portions are small but the price reflects the amount you’re getting - makes it possible to try a lot of different options on the menu without breaking the bank. Food quality itself is probably the same as places in Seattle that are 3-4x price. Service was a little slow but that’s because it’s packed. Once the order is in, food comes quick. Would come again.

Vickie Jackson: First time for us here, celebrating our 3rd anniversary of meeting. Excellent food, service, and prices. No reservations in a really popular venue, so plan for a slight wait. Staff is awesome, and explained dishes we weren't familiar with.😊 The venue is noisy, so don't expect a subdued, intimate experience. We'll definitely be back!

Tsukushinbo: what do users think?

Taylor G: I got the oyako ochazuke and it was amazing! Great portion for the price, the salmon roe tasted fresh, and the waiter made the great rec to opt for the soy dashi. Would go again, worth the 15min wait. Amazing playlist too!!

Paul Lee: I definitely miss Tsukushinbo’s sushi bar and omakase offerings but I am not disappointed in what they have transformed to.Staff is still friendly, the space is a lot more open and lighting is way better. The Ochazuke was the star of our lunch. Everything was perfectly portioned 10/10The Yaki Cheese could have been better with a different cheese. The Karaage was huge and delicious but had parts that were more salted than others which threw us off.

Angela Zhang: Really warm, cozy spot - unfortunately we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table at 6PM on a Thursday. Sometimes I wish there were seating time limits as there was a table for 4 occupied by one diner for that entire time, who was scrolling on their phone for about half an hour after having finished their food, but I think the servers were too polite to ask them to leave. One feature I wish they had is being able to text/call us when the table is ready - we were originally quoted 25 minutes so we circled the C-ID and came back, but because this one person wouldn't leave we waited for another 25-30 minutes outside. The servers were really nice and attentive throughout our meal. We had so much good food there - the musubi with spam/pickled radish, the eel onigiri ochazuke, the fried chicken, the ochazuke with salmon roe/green tea based broth, and some grilled rice ball with butter and soy sauce. I would definitely go back again.

Sherly Herrera: We arrived on a Saturday evening 15 minutes before opening and were seated as soon as doors opened (there were about 4 parties ahead of us. I ordered the unagi onigiri, salmon onigiri and mini curry udon. Everything was tasty but the unagi was definitely my favorite. We also ordered the rice bowl with chicken katsu, it was tasty. I would recommend everything but I wouldn’t wait on line for this, food was good but not life changing. The lychee fizz non alcoholic drink was very tasty as well!Dietary restrictions: There were vegetarian options

Angela Winnike: .There is always a wait but there’s a good reason why! The service is polite & efficient.Prices are affordable. I’ve even taken food to go and it holds up well.

Jo aisen: It’s a cute and warm place! I love their ochatsuke and nigiri! Especially recommend the Mentaiko Special nigiri! It’s grilled to perfection, imbued with the smoky aroma. For the ochatsuke, I had unagi topping with green tea broth. It tastes really good. Agedashi tofu is not bad, but a little salty. Chicken karaage is delicious!Overall. It’s good and cheap, definitely worth to try!

Jessica M: but I felt it wasn't as flavorful and not for me.This place is definitely a must try! Just make sure to get here early! :

Dustin Nguyen: .

Charley Wang: Between the pandemic and a new baby we had basically completely given up on having a really nice meal. We've eaten at Wa'z in the before times, so we thought we would give their $100 kaiseki take-out a try.It was amazing! Definitely the best meal we've had since the pandemic started.

Elise Sivilay: 5 Star Food, 5 Star Service - friendly, cheerful, affable. Front of house was superb. Presentation was very beautiful. I was enamored with the diverse sake glasses. Counter seats were a lot of fun from which to watch all the action. They made my friend's birthday very special. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go again. Kudos to Chef Hiro and team!

Hosekibako: Japanese Resale Shop: what do users think?

Veronica M: A hidden treasure! It’s a tranquil resale shop selling mostly small items like dishes, cups, and decor, all beautifully curated and well cared for. A must see if you’re even remotely interested in Japanese culture, design, or antiques. I got my very first wall decoration for my new apartment here, a lovely old print of some koi fish.

Victoria N: So many beautiful things here. The Mikimoto necklace I bought here is my favorite.

Michael Jacobson: Awesome shop based on donations from the community to help support the Japanese Community center. Ever changing supply of cool Japanese items, some common and some rare.

JM Seattle: I love this shop for unique items for myself and to give as gifts. I love talking to the staff. Even the youngest of them have so much knowledge about everything Japan. I learn so much each time I visit and never leave empty-handed. And it is all for such a good cause.

Asia Scott: Quaint little shop. Very nice pieces at a reasonable price. I got a kimono that I could use for work.

E Ostasiewski: Very small Japanese vintage shop that's run by all volunteers. Located in the Japanese Cultural Community Center on the bottom or first floor. Very nice people willing to help you out, to the best of their ability.

Masako S: Hidden treasures that what I want.Helpful volunteers at the cashier. You can enjoy the location, the buildings and may be practicing your Japanese.

Eric P.: Great shop tucked away inside of the Japanese Cultural & Community Center of Washington! The people are friendly and have a nice selection of of unique goods! Also they have a very well put together online store which is great for re-sale shops like this! I come once a week to look /shop sinceI work in the area.

C. H.: Wonderful little shop with a good selection! Got two cute little tea trays here.

eleanor doughty: A well organized shop where you can find very reasonably priced treasures. If looking for something in particular, they may have it in back. also check out the online shop for even more carefully selected items!

gerard ventus: Quality items. Great quality.

Barry Caadan: So nice so kind so traditional highly recommend this place so amazing and authentic

D Sawyer: and much more. During Covid-19 their website has been updated well and I feel confident with their policies to keep the store, volunteers and customers safe. The items are either new or very gently used donations and are priced VERY fairly. The money raised goes to a great place, too--so please support them if you can!

SAI Sushi & Sake: what do users think?

Foo NULL: You should eat here to have the best of Japan without being in Japan.Amazing selection of fish and other seafood for the nigiri. Thoughtful construction on the cold and hot dishes. Will definitely come again! Thank you chef! One year later and we still love coming here. The chef keeps improving and coming up with new menu items that reliably impress. There aren’t many sushi restaurants, even in Japan, that can claim to exceed the level of craftsmanship, creativity, and care that chef Saito shows everyday.

Kristina Ettensohn: Today, we had an unforgettable omakase experience that I want to brag about. Sai is a hidden gem worth discovering! We secured a private reservation for our party of 4 and received the sole focus of the chef’s attention. We were presented with an abundant selection of sushi and various courses, each more impressive than the last. The fish served were not only exceptionally fresh and perfectly cut but also unusual, prepared to perfection to highlight their unique flavors and textures. The value offered by this experience far exceeded our expectations. It’s a rare find that genuinely merits the price. If you haven’t had the chance to experience omakase before, I highly encourage you to do so at Sai. You won’t be disappointed!

Alvin Tran: . I think I particularly liked the Toro

Makoto Kanda: . Yes, if you are reading this and wondering why my review starts like this, I read some neutral/negative reviews on Yelp and had to say something. I also do not disagree that servers play important roles in guest satisfaction. I actually agree 300% if not more. But I personally appreciate direct communications with chefs more than anything else as they know the food they serve more than anyone else. Mr. Saito is a very truthful and honest person, so just ask away if you have any questions. He also trusts his only employee which I really liked. He was always so attentive and I never needed to ask water refills, etc., at all. I don't get why someone demands hiring servers when he is doing this great. I'd rather ask him not to

N P: This was hands down, the best sushi I have ever tasted. The best service I've ever experienced for Sushi as well. Every single dish left me rolling the taste around, trying to prolong the savoring of every bite. Fish that I was not particularly fond of from previous experiences elsewhere were served, and I was blown away with how good it all was. I never thought that I would have told everyone how delicious Mackerel was, but I sure did after eating Sai's impressive creations.

Sharon Provins: I can't express how much I loved the abalone with abalone liver sauce. It was different and amazing. The food is yummy and we enjoyed a lovely dinner with close friends. It's the perfect quiet atmosphere to dine and spend time with the people you love without distraction...and with super delish food.

Viviana Magallanes: Worth the money and time. Very private and personalized service.Recommended dishes Omakase, Green Tea Ice Cream …

Marco: which was my favorite dish. The curry-don was really good too. There was no bad dish. Prices were also reasonable. Definitely worth the stop.Parking: There’s a decent amount of free 2hr street parking in front

Munch Kin: , we won't be able to come back again. My partner is allergic to msg and one of the people who worked in the kitchen warned us that they use msg in a lot of things. It never gave him issues before so we thought it would be okay.It seems they changed how they cook though. The food still tasted amazing, especially the sashimi and the Tuna on Snowshoe? I think that's what it's called. But there was also so much msg in the food that couldn't be separated from everything else that my partner got a nasty migraine. And this was with them aware of his allergy and changing what they could. This really does hurt because this was *our* place. It was one of our first dates and where I proposed to him. But I just can't put him through the migraines anymore.- - -OriginalAs amazing as ever! We had the Sushi-Ya and asked for sake to be paired with each dish. There's the option of more common dishes like tuna and salmon or more exotic dishes, and we chose a mix. They managed to have a great balance, though I don't recommend the exotic options unless you're feeling truly adventurous. Amongst seered cod and King Salmon sashimi, we had shrimp heads that had the exoskeleton removed

Maggie McLouth: After an incredibly difficult month and a half following the unexpected passing of my father, and going through this grief while in graduate school, my husband and I needed a nice evening out. We had been to Mashiko before, but it had been several years. We love Japanese food, and Mashiko in general, so we happily sprung for the sushi-ya omakase dinner with sake pairing. If I had video of the happy chair dance I did whenever Mat, our server, brought out our food, I would include it here. Everything was delicious, the sake pairings were excellent, and I was able to relax and have some quality time with my husband for the first time in a while. The restaurant is intimate but still private and not overly-loud. The food is fairly priced given the focus on sustainability. I have never had a bad experience here, but this one made me so happy I wanted to share. Eating good food can be a healing experience, and tonight it certainly was. Thank you Mat and the wonderful chefs!

Sayd Hussain: Удивительные сушиОсобый путь шеф-повараКокосовый пирог очень вкусный

Diana J.: I guess this is more about my personal taste, since obviously this place is popular. If you love traditional japanese food like me, stick to the raw sashimi. We ordered the popular Emperor's signature roll and chirashi bowl. They put tobiko on top of slice jalapeno on the roll. Totally kill the mild flavor that I love about tobiko. The yuzu sauce is good but also kill the sushi flavor. I think fusion is not for me. The chirashi bowl was okay, standard. I may come back for other dishes.

Byron Jennings: The restaurant has a fantastic location, the food is great, the staff are friendly, and every time I come here, it's an enjoyable experience.Parking: The only parking I'm aware of is street parking. Luckily, it's not TOO difficult to find, but it's paid parking most days.

Miles Raymond: Vegetarian options: delicious veggie optionsParking: Only street parking, or nearby paid lotWheelchair accessibility: NO ELEVATOR

Mandi S: your friend will be confused but see…you know about the strong drinks. The homemade izakaya pub style food. The weirdly amazing Spaghett. Get the Spaghett. Get the spicy fried chicken for the love of all that’s holy. The French fries are stupid good. As is the curry. So many options. And if you ever happen to be there when they have the late night onigiri you better get one for me because it’s the only thing on this earth that reminds me of my own long-past grandma in a way so visceral it’s like I’m a kid again.I mean, if you don’t get it I get it. Seattle Japanese Garden: what do users think?

Siriesha Patnaik: Serene, beautiful, havenLook online- they have tea ceremony that is free to attend, plan such that you can enjoy that experience as well!

Elena Phillips: Beautiful smaller Japanese Garden, better pricing compared to many attractions around Seattle. We visited in the rain in early May but it was still beautiful. Lots of flowers blooming, and the wisteria arch was gorgeous. We sat under a covered area for a break from the rain and it was a great spot to admire the beauty of the gardens.Playground: There is no playground. No playing, just stick to their paths and admire the view.Restrooms: There are restrooms just before entering the parkDog-friendliness: Not dog friendly I believe

B “to the” Y: Whole family went. Enjoyed the wonderfully cared for garden, especially the ducks and turtles. If Iwere to do it again I would spend more time either walking or biking around the many paths around the Washington Park Arboretum. Though the younger kids might protest.

justin petersen: Cool hidden gem!

Wasabi Sushi & Izakaya: what do users think?

MiikkaThePinkPuma: Physical menus were hard to read with the dim lights but other than that it was amazing! Food was delicious, server was nice and helpful!! Vibe of the place was very nice!Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and they worked well to make sure my meal was good!!Kid-friendliness: Very flexible with the kiddo we had with us!

Elise McHenry: Sunday was my second time eating at Wasabi. They have the most amazing sushi primarily due to the medley of flavors. Don't get me wrong though, I had some sashimi my first time that were the most unique flavors I've had of sushi. The sashimi was also nice and thickly cut. The standouts are all the rolls, though. Unique rolls that other places don't have with ingredients and sauces that perfectly compliment each other.Huge props to Ryan, our waiter who was extremely knowledgeable about every item on the menu. It's a big menu, so I was extremely impressed with how much he knew. He was also very kind and attentive.

Jace M: The food was fantastic, great presentation too. Service was a little slow throughout the night but pleasant and accommodating when available.

J Em: My brother and I took our sister to Wasabi for her birthday based on a recommendation from the staff from Chihuly Garden and Glass and we’re so glad we went. Incredible atmosphere, amazing food in great portions and our server Jennie was attentive, kind and really made our experience feel curated and bespoke. We didn’t have to wait long for any food or drinks and we loved how easy it was to order and how many great options they had on their happy hour menu. Can’t wait to take my man here on date night.

Siddhi Murkar: We have been there multiple times and love the Tempura. The calamari fry was refreshing with the veggies.Personally, all my experiences with seating have been bad. Each time I have requested some table that's not at a corner void of all the ambience experience, I've been told there's no space otherwise. This time specifically I saw two tables empty, but was told that that space is over occupied and had to crunch in a very small table for 2 between huge groups, with one chair facing the washroom. Within 5 minutes of we sitting, some other couple was provided the same table we asked for. This has happened all the times I've been to this space which makes us feel unwelcome.

eli kim: but my partner loves it. So I'll round up from my 4 to her 5. Clean food. Nicely put together. I like the non-green tea

Betsutenjin Ramen: what do users think?

Ari Herman: 5 stars for having a very authentic Japanese vibe. Broth was very tasty. Soup was a little less hot than I would have liked, and I thought the noodles were a tad underdone. Overall, food was just okay, but I enjoyed the experience. I want to find a polite way to make suggestions, since I feel like it could be very palatable with some small changes. Really hope they don't become yet another small place that closes and gets replaced with something generic.

Zach Miller: Food: 4/5

Kisaku Sushi: what do users think?

Tracy Tran: Our chef Richard and his teammate that night were amazing! We did Omakase at the sushi bar and felt so taken care of. His mastery and creativity with his fish combos was amazing. Every bite exceeded the last one we had and I didn’t think it could keep getting better. Loved the yellow jack, uni, the ora king salmon, toro flight. The prices were so affordable for something that you would find in even the fanciest edomae places right now. I had 19 pieces and it was less than $100! The vibes in the restaurant were neighborhood-y and fun.I will 100% be back. If you go ask to sit with Richard!

Ginte La: Ok Japanese restaurant with attentive service and decent dishes.
