Tsukushinbo: what do users think?

Taylor G: I got the oyako ochazuke and it was amazing! Great portion for the price, the salmon roe tasted fresh, and the waiter made the great rec to opt for the soy dashi. Would go again, worth the 15min wait. Amazing playlist too!!

Paul Lee: I definitely miss Tsukushinbo’s sushi bar and omakase offerings but I am not disappointed in what they have transformed to.Staff is still friendly, the space is a lot more open and lighting is way better. The Ochazuke was the star of our lunch. Everything was perfectly portioned 10/10The Yaki Cheese could have been better with a different cheese. The Karaage was huge and delicious but had parts that were more salted than others which threw us off.

Angela Zhang: Really warm, cozy spot - unfortunately we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table at 6PM on a Thursday. Sometimes I wish there were seating time limits as there was a table for 4 occupied by one diner for that entire time, who was scrolling on their phone for about half an hour after having finished their food, but I think the servers were too polite to ask them to leave. One feature I wish they had is being able to text/call us when the table is ready - we were originally quoted 25 minutes so we circled the C-ID and came back, but because this one person wouldn't leave we waited for another 25-30 minutes outside. The servers were really nice and attentive throughout our meal. We had so much good food there - the musubi with spam/pickled radish, the eel onigiri ochazuke, the fried chicken, the ochazuke with salmon roe/green tea based broth, and some grilled rice ball with butter and soy sauce. I would definitely go back again.

Sherly Herrera: We arrived on a Saturday evening 15 minutes before opening and were seated as soon as doors opened (there were about 4 parties ahead of us. I ordered the unagi onigiri, salmon onigiri and mini curry udon. Everything was tasty but the unagi was definitely my favorite. We also ordered the rice bowl with chicken katsu, it was tasty. I would recommend everything but I wouldn’t wait on line for this, food was good but not life changing. The lychee fizz non alcoholic drink was very tasty as well!Dietary restrictions: There were vegetarian options

Angela Winnike: .There is always a wait but there’s a good reason why! The service is polite & efficient.Prices are affordable. I’ve even taken food to go and it holds up well.

Jo aisen: It’s a cute and warm place! I love their ochatsuke and nigiri! Especially recommend the Mentaiko Special nigiri! It’s grilled to perfection, imbued with the smoky aroma. For the ochatsuke, I had unagi topping with green tea broth. It tastes really good. Agedashi tofu is not bad, but a little salty. Chicken karaage is delicious!Overall. It’s good and cheap, definitely worth to try!

Jessica M: but I felt it wasn't as flavorful and not for me.This place is definitely a must try! Just make sure to get here early! :

Maneki Restaurant: what do users think?

McKenzie Billeaudeaux: , a delicious cold dish perfect for sharing.Service was also very lovely, our waitress was sweet and friendly and also had great taste in music.I would say this was an affordable dinner, especially considering the quality of the dishes. We cannot wait to return!Parking: There is a paid parking lot directly behind the restaurant however BEWARE when entering the lot off of S Main, especially if you have an average to lower set car! The pavement there is busted and the decline is steep, the bottom of your car will get hit! There are additional ways to enter the lot from Maynard Ave.

Sainyane Xiong: Amazing and authentic Japanese spot! Felt so cozy and felt original. The food was amazing and the service was very good. The portions are worth the price. The sashimi in particular was fantastic. The fish was prepped so well and beautifully and just melts in your mouth. Some of the tables are small - so some of the meals are hard to fit in small seating spots but it wasn’t horrible to rearrange some things.Eat here!

戸田瑛人: It was so delicious! !I want to come again!

Guy Valencia: Convenient location for me coming from beacon hill

Qween B King-Rios: Best sushi we've had since the pandemic. I'm in love with this great sushi restaurant. Will be back without a doubt. Can't wait to order food when our family comes to visit us. We love this sushi restaurant in our neighborhood. Check them out!

Nate Gardner: Very tasty sushi and ramen.

Michal Frystacky: Love it. Great sushi and sometimes they have their own wasabi which is A+

Erik Goins: This place is very clean. The wait staff was really helpful for our first time. The food was very good for a cheap price. The California rolls were the best. They’re very good and it’s freshly prepared. It was fun selecting your own food on the conveyor belt. There were a lot of options. I definitely recommend it and I will be coming back soon.

Hiroshi's: what do users think?

Carl Furfaro: so close to home. And very friendly folks!

Greg Iavruian: Food: 5/5

Priscilla A: My favorite chicken katsu in seattle. Chicken is crispy and not oily. Served with a salad with ginger dressing.

Stephanie Q: I get takeout for lunch semi-regularly - they are always so fast, kind, and quality. It feels more old-school Seattle, including their teriyaki! They are one of the few places I'm willing to call instead of ordering online. I would love it if they had an online pickup option though. Either way though - support this affordable, delicious neighborhood spot!

Jason Chase: Hiroshi’s is consistently my favorite chicken teriyaki in a city that has no shortage of teriyaki options. I would happily eat this every day. Great char and perfect balance of flavors in the sauce. Not to mention the staff is so incredibly kind.

Jill Malta: Really good food at really good prices, definitely recommend.

Andy Yarritu: Quick, clean, and modest sushi. Great addition to the neighborhood!Large rolls. A wide variety of Japanese dishes. The Chirashi bowl is a fantastic deal and so are the sushi combos!Small selection of cakes in their fridge for dessert.

John Edwards: I really like the chirashi bowl, the tempura, and the garlic shrimp. The tempura is nice and light and they provide a good amount of food for the price.Real nice people and they do take phone orders.

Aoki Sushi & Grill: what do users think?

Oksana Dudaryeva: Recommended dishes Roll

Richard Ellis: . The Sea serpent roll was a huge hit with everyone. The only “ify” was the gyoza. It was actually more like Korean Yakimando and deep fried; not a gyoza at all. I didn’t care for it but the first time eater would think it’s good. Our “picky” eater friend refused to eat any fish and was hesitant to even try Japanese food - I suggested the Tonkatsu Bento Box and she liked it. Overall, a nice experience with good customer service and a pleasant enough atmosphere. If you live nearby or in the Capital Hill area, consider this place. We will likely never go back as we live on the other side of the sound but if we happen to be nearby and need our Japanese fix, we would definitely go back! Support this small business!!! Under new ownership

Sam Meade: Aoki is an unassuming, utilitarian sushi restaurant. They have consistent business, so the fish is always fresh, never fishy. I've been going there for several years and have never had any other than good experiences whether it was to go or eating at the restaurant. My son always gets the katsu bento plate, which is always tasty. Their miso soup is standard, good. I don't know what they do with their escolar ngiri, but it's magic. I think they paint a little bit of sesame oil on top, It is my favorite thing. There. The crunch roll and don't cry roll are both excellent. Anytime. I'm at a sushi restaurant. I get albacore ngiri as well, and it is always excellent. I have also had the agadashi tofu, and it was quite good. As a creature of habit, I don't really order many other different things, But suffice to say, Aoki is a safe bet for good sushi, served with a smile at a good price. Hope you guys are always up there on Broadway for me and my family!

Kwak Family: Quite nicely decorated restaurant with reasonably priced meal options. Staff were attentive and courteous.Miso soup was a bit saltier than should have been but with good flavor and portion. The rest of the orders were good, with larger portions in general than typical. I would suggest using a slightly higher oil temperature for the fried food to make it crisper and less oily.Good value and pleasant experience!

I Love Sushi on Lake Union: what do users think?

Nicola Kalderash: , but went to their South Lake Union location and was pleased. The Skip Jack Tuna of my rainbow roll was a bit disappointing and something I've never experienced in their fish. It was kinda fridge and fishy tasting.Otherwise the rest was quite tasty including the Gindarra

A R: Parking: Never had issues getting one of their free spots. Did go today and it seemed like all the other cars that were parked in them were not dining there.Kid-friendliness: Provided the kids utensils and bowls.

A Google User: Higher than average quality sushi. Try their otoro and chutoro.

U:Don Fresh Japanese Noodle Station - University District: what do users think?

Jong Lee: Delicious simple and cheap noodle shop. This is our go to place for warm noodle over Samurai Noodles now or Pho. Love the curry udon!

Diana J.: We have been wanting to try the udon here, and we are soo pleased. It's cafeteria style where you grab a tray and order the udon, like some udon cafeteria in Japan. First you pick the udon style. They have S, M and L bowl size which I like so I dont overeat and can eat more tempura. We had the tantan goma zaru dipping udon and ume oroshi niku soup udon. We then chose the tempura variety that we like, the veggie tempuras were good. They put the tempura sauce in a thermos and you help yourself with it. The dipping udon was actually served cold, both sauce and noodle were cold, only the meat was warm. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me but still good and rich. The meat was okay. The soup udon was fantatic. If you are a fan of ume and daikon like me, you must try it. We also ordered a side of mentaiko. Only $1.50 for a scoop, what a deal. You can also order a side of white rice. Cant wait to come back for more!Btw street parking can be a bit challenging in U District. But we had a fun time strolling along University Way and the campus.

Ranjan Shrestha: Recommended dishes Beef, Kaki Fry Fried Oysters 4 PC

Javier Guapilla-Diaz: . When we arrived we did not have to wait, although it did get busy after we came in. I can imagine the service

Azuki: what do users think?

Lloyd Sim: but we met Ryuji-san and thought that he was the pretty cool resto chef-owner around the area and hoped that his restaurant business venture would survive the pandemic because his Udon is very authentic Japanese similar to the ones found in the Land of the Rising Sun!Back then, we lived just walking distance and so we order take out and almost immediately our food is ready instantly, and so we thought maybe they’re not getting enough business probably because it’s so hidden and there’s no big signage or anything and also because of the pandemic, so we made it our goal to at least eat their udon twice to three times a month in 2020 - 2021. As Seattle and the world re-opened, it seems that Ryuji-san’s business started picking up and we were thrilled that the likes of social media attention from Seattle foodies

Brynn: Best udon I've ever had! I got the signature beef and the broth was so flavorful and complex, and the noodles were absolutely perfect, springy and fresh. My friend got the curry option and it was also super tasty, though I'd recommend getting the signature for your first time so you can really taste all the love that's in the broth. Excited to go back!

Fuji Sushi: what do users think?

Ivie S.: Went there on a Friday for a laye lunch with a group of 6. We had reserved a head of time and was able to be seated immediately. There is a mix of Japanese and Korean specials. Coworkers got bento boxes bit the bibimbap was calling my name and it didn't disappoint. Came out sizzling in the cast iron bowl which gave the rice the crunch that I love. Would definitely go back. Also, service was on it and very polite.

Claudia Guzman: Very good sushi, nicely displayed, good amount, and for a reasonable price! We couldn’t get a reservation at 6 PM so we decided to go earlier and we got a table at 5 PM.You pay approximately $20 for the specialty rolls but you get a good tasty portion. We will definitely come back!

Beyond The Bowl: what do users think?

Kimber Connors: Very accommodating of food allergies to soy and gluten. Plus the server overheard the kiddo at the table wanting mango and brought some over! Tasty food.Dietary restrictions: Soy and GF options accommodated even on dishes you might expect to have soy or gluten

Pamela Wooton: The food was very tasty and the staff very friendly, fast and kind. This is our second time here and we enjoyed it a lot again. They have a digital menu and they are taking orders to go, and also serving food at the restaurant. Everything was very cleaned, everyone was wearing masks and keeping social distancing. I will definitely return to this place.

Candid Chronicler: Great poke bowls and excellent service. We love the Beyond the bowl and the Waikiki Bowls the most. The mango pie is pretty good too, even though it's slightly frozen sometimes. The restaurant is always peaceful. It seems to attract more delivery orders than dine-in, so it is rarely crowded.Dietary restrictions: GF options

Modern Japanese Cuisine & Desserts: what do users think?

Jonathan Betz-Zall: Generous and nicely varied portions in the bento boxes. The salmon collar was fine. The karaage chicken was well cooked but too cold by the time we got it home. I'm sure it would have been great if we'd been able to have it at the restaurant. The matcha roll cake is listed as their most popular dessert -- it's easy to understand why. An outstanding balance of colors, textures and flavors. I hope to remember to get it every time!

Hugo Aguas: Yes!!!!! I'll say it again for the people in the back- yyyyaaaaeeeesaassssss! So cute, so good! Yeeeaaaassss! It's that time of the year again where restaurant week reigns supreme, and this time they didn't miss! I had their restaurant week special which was a salmon box. Everything was perfect, especially the salmon belly, grilled salmon and salmon sashimi! Everything was fresh tasty and out of this world.Despite this location doubling as a bakery, they know how to make sushi and prepare wonderful pastries. The matcha cheesecake was superb with plenty of fresh matcha powder on top and mung beans on the bottom. This was easily my favorite matcha desert ever! While they don't have indoor seating, I saw two small tables outside. I'll be going back and happy freaking restaurant week!

Luke Hippely: I had a mackerel bento box - it was delicious and healthy. Friendly staff!

Lisa Chen: Lovely store and employees! Got some great suggestions for bentos for the family. The food was delicious and nutritious! They also sell some goods like bags and cups which were very cute.

Bil E: at $30 all in for a chirashi bowl that is 80% the portion of fremont bowl, I am not excited about the quality trade off that might be present.

J Y: The eel over rice was delicious with a nice warm miso soup!

Gabrielle Root: We live down the street. We also eat at restaurants all over Seattle. The thing that stands out for me at Modern is the food feels like it’s lovingly prepared. The ingredients are premium. Even the to go orders are carefully prepared. We get the salmon bento a lot, and the cuts of fish are premium. It’s the perfect amount of food. Tiny garnishments of pickled vegetables compliment everything perfectly. Service is also top notch. Love this place!

Alyssa S: Their sushi is really fresh and their customer service is incredibly friendly! Their desserts are also really good!Location is really close to the Woodland Park Zoo so I would highly recommend taking a quick trip over to it once you are done with your zoo trip.

Wan-Yu Wu: Awwww I love their custard puddings so much!!! Will go back again soon to try more dessert options 3

Nick Richards: Delicious. Nice to have dinner and dessert take out!

Allison McIntyre: My favorite sushi restaurant near my house. The staff is always very friendly and I love the desserts and drinks in the front.

How To Cook A Wolf: what do users think?

Mackenzie Brisben: We came here for Seattle Restaurant Week recently and had the following:Marinated Olives: perfectionSteak Tartare: I loved it but my two friends didn’t like it at allAhi Tuna: to me was super bland and almost tasted watery? I don’t know how to describe it. Only one of the three of us liked this item.Kale Salad: amazingAgnolotti: delicious but small portionsPaccheri Nero: was made celiac friendly for us which was awesome. It was meh though due to the sauce being understated.Steak: the potatoes and broccolini with the steak were perfect however the steak was confusing because some bites were amazing while others were tough and under seasoned. I had it medium rare. Huge potion though!Pistachio Gelato with Shortbread Cookie: delicious and generous serving size.Cheesecake: kind of seemed like it came from Whole Foods which I’m sure it didn’t but just not that exciting and pretty small for portion size compared to the gelato.Overall it definitely was not bad food but adding 1-2 glasses of wine to this $65 prefix menu landed us at $122 each and it was super not worth that. Sorry! I found it disappointing.Dietary restrictions: Can do celiac friendly foods

Leanne Mustafa: it was pricey, like $200ish, but that's with multiple drinks too. Over all it was a delight from start to finish. Amazing food, great pace, wonderful service we're coming again with friends 😍😍😍

Randy: Quality food and drinks at very reasonable prices.

Laura: Visited on Valentine's Day and ordered from their Wolfie Valentine prix fixe menu, which included four shared appetizers, choice of pasta, choice of main, and choice of dessert.Steak tartare - it was okay, but pretty bland and under seasoned. Kind of had to rely and the salt flakes on the cracker for seasoning. I also wish the crackers were thicker, or that there were a couple more of them.Ahi crudo - pretty good, sauces were tasty and well balanced!Delicata squash with goat cheese - this was my favorite of the appetizers. Well cooked, slightly caramelized.Burrata with beets & kumquat - beets and kumquats were sweet and sour, which complemented the creamy burrata really well.Duck pappardelle - pasta was overcooked, so it was kind of mushy. Sauce was a bit plain, but duck was nice and tender.Black trumpet tagliatelle - well cooked, and tasty! Huge portion, we ended up taking some home to save space for the main course.Scallops - sadly also overcooked, so they were too chewy. I thought the fresh blood orange slices were a bit overpowering, but enjoyed all the other components.Zabuton - well cooked, but the cut was fattier than we expected. And more weight from the nduja butter on top. It needed something more to counterbalance the fattiness. The rutabaga puree was unpleasantly bitter.Almond frangipane torte - by far our favorite course! Delicious mix of flavors and textures. Only regret was ordering soebetto instead of two tortes.Service - overall very attentive, friendly service. The check in was not quite ideal, since there's no space inside to wait for your reservation, so we had to wait outside in the cold.Ambiance - cozy and romantic.

Single Shot: what do users think?

Jascha McPie: As a Eurotrash dude, this was the only place in a three month road trip that hit the vibe/quality/price mark exactly right.Taste-wise exactly right for the price. Just... yum and unpretentious in a good way.The service super personable without being... too American. The atmosphere 5/5.Just solid.

Laurent LATHIEYRE: .I had the housemade Focaccia

DC Thomas Given (dctg_): Yummy and metropolitan in the middle of Capital Hill. Great for our team event and easy to reserve our time there.I inspired a full round of dessert. And we were not disappointed!

Gavin Gee: European / Aussie neighborhood restaurant feel. Nice to see it surviving in Seattle.Duck flatbread was good. Pastry a little too crunchy but flavors good.Beet salad and asparagus were great. It is expensive.

Chaeliana: One of my friends suggested Single Shot for an intimate brunch, and even though we are from Tacoma and I was hesitant to drive all the way to Seattle just for a brunch spot, it was definitely worth it!Single Shot is tucked back in the neighborhoods near Capitol Hill where you wouldn’t even think such a modern and outstanding brunch spot would be! It was honestly hidden between older homes and apartments and would be easy to miss if you didn’t know what you were looking for. It’s a cozy restaurant inside and has nice outdoor seating as well. The decor is a modern take on vintage style, and being there feels both like stepping back in time but also living in the 2024 you only see in movies. The staff are all extremely friendly with customers as well as with each other. I was new, but I could tell based on watching staff and patrons interact that there are a lot of regulars.I was given a heads up that the food is large, so we decided to do family style dining, and it was truly large servings! I was shocked by how large a single pancake was!! Between the three of us, we still had leftovers! Everything is homemade and uses fresh ingredients too! Even the toast was impressive and toast is usually the leftover filler for small meals, but not here!I cannot wait to come back!

Rebecca Roenitz: Such a cute little wine bar! We stumbled across it after a day at the beach, a perfect way to end the day.

Suzy Le Bel: do you like to draw? Are you down for a good time? This place has it ALL!Crayon quality is out of this world. Great vibe, wonderful staff, and an all around experience. Loved the wine too…. Just a bonus!

Zach van Schouwen: A very pleasant place to have a low-key drink. Comfortable covered back patio and fancy garage-type interior. Good selection of wine, beer and cocktails. Friendly service, live music.

Amanda Russert: Absolutely a great spot for a drink! Super cute, live music on the weekends, and you can even do some art if you're in the mood! Delicious bites to eat, and a great selection! The best service too, SO friendly! Must check it out, especially when RX is playing!👌👍

Sara Morgan: I love that they have added live music on occasions, this is precisely what this neighborhood needed and I, ’m here to support them for the long haul! Please come by here for a drink and Enjoy Their quaint space!

Alyx: Staff was wonderful, drinks were fantastic, ambience was phenomenal, the musician was my favorite human being ever, too bad I could barely hear him despite being literally next to him because of the ridiculously loud group of drunk women across the room, though that's hardly the staffs fault.

Laura Alexandra: Great service! Great atmosphere. The staff was very helpful. They helped us pick great drinks!

Hannah Linsenmayer: My favorite new place in Seattle!! Such a great covered patio with heaters and welcoming ambiance. Their staff and their space is very covid friendly. I cannot recommend this adorable neighborhood spot enough! I will definitely be back soon.

Main Street Gyros: what do users think?

Bryan Wilson: Lamb and beef shawarma was fantastic.Recommended dishes …

Cassandra Oliver: Love good gryros and even better when there's great customer service!

Simon Tan: Gyro plate was okay, but needs a little more balance than just heavy meat, hummus, and yogurt. Some veggies would make it a lot better.

Jovonneb “jovonneb”: Staff is really nice and fast. Good, is good my favorite gyro is still on the Ave on 45th. I will be back if I don't feel like driving up there.Parking: Little parking lot next to business.

Jason Lee: I don't know why it took me so long to try this place. The lamb and beef gyro were delicious. The meat was good, and the veggies they used were fresh. The Greek fries were delicious. This place has been around for so long and has withstood the various issues in the neighborhood. I wish nothing but the best, as places like this are the last relics of a Seattle continuously changing rapidly.

Steve Seattle: : The Gyro combo is now $14.99... was $8.99 in 2015, no idea what I paid a year ago but it wasn't 15 bucks. Greek fries fine, however they stuffed the sandwich full of iceberg lettuce as opposed to the veg mix in the past.Despite the lower quality, this is still four stars due to the simple fact that they are the only place open in the area.

Mary Greer: I have been seeing this place since I started at Seattle Central. I got the beef and lamb gyro salad and he got the same meats but as a gyro combo which comes with fries and a drink. Delicious and very filling I have at least two meals out of this one salad. ❤️Dietary restrictions: I am celiac and egg allergic, I got the lamb and beef gyro salad as the dressing for the salad is yogurt based not mayo and everything else in it I know I can eat.Parking: We parked near a meter but it was after the hours required to pay which starts at 6pm and it was on a Saturday. There was a pay to park lot across the street as well.
