Isaiah Vasquez: he asked me if I picked up my package from the mailroom. I looked at my partner in shock thinking how does he know me? He cares about the residents. Moving from out of state has been a breeze. Ask for Justin and you’ll be in good hands.The unit was exactly what I expected and more. The appliances are lux. They recently renovated units so please don’t listen to the reviews mentioning cheap touches. The touches and appliances are NICE. The building is made of concrete and windows are nicely sealed so noise is not an issue.I’ve been here less than a week, but each day I love the place more. I can’t speak on maintenance just yet, but I’ll update this review in a couple months. If you are looking for a place and tired of searching, check this place out!

Ze'ev Wolf: .I can tell you that things here have improved substantially since Justin Barta has taken over management of the building, and we have renewed our lease!! General management of the building is 200% better than before, and communication to tenants is 1000% better.We had some water/flooring issues which Justin and the maintenance crew was extremely accomodative and responsive in getting resolved in a timely manner. In fact, head of maintenance drove out from Tacoma in the evening over the weekend to help address the issue.One thing to note is that the walls are thin. Most neighbors are really respectful and friendly, and keep noise down. If there is a concern one just needs to reach out to Justin to help resolve.***Things are beginning to look up!There is a new building manager who in my opinion is making every effort to show he cares about improving things, and there is a palpable feeling amongst the tenants that issues are starting to get resolved. He has listened openly to a list of presented concerns and has been addressing them as best he can. Some of these were with the building maintenance in general, other issues are related to specific tenant issues. I had an accounting issue which despite my best efforts I could not get resolved for several months but which the new manager resolved expeditiously. Also, we now have a full-time maintenance person again, and there is less turnover and more friendly support in the front office.A key improvement has been more consistent and open/honest communications. I noted that on the day we experienced icy roads, a communication came out very early that morning from him cautioning everyone about the ice on the roads. The front desk staff, as well as Lance in maintenance, were incredibly helpful and friendly and truly accommodated us from touring the building, to move-in to move-out and everything in between.Neighbors in the complex were quiet and cordial - which was a nice departure from other apartments we've lived in in past.It's also very conveniently on the 40 bus line and walking distance from anything you could ever need.Thank you, Ballard Public, for being our place to figure out what our next step should be in the midst of a pandemic. You certainly kept us calm!

Laurel: My boyfriend and I lived here for a year with our dog. We are sad to leave. For those that love Ballard, this is a perfect location. A close walk to downtown Ballard while still being a quiet building. There are plenty of close by coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance.The furnishings are beautiful and well thought out. The rooftop area is gorgeous. The building is quiet and all of our neighbors were friendly and respectful. Building management was also prompt to respond to concerns.

This building is in an excellent location, walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Market Street as well as the beauty of Golden Gardens. My favorite thing about this place as well is the cafe located on the first floor. Friendly staff and great happy hours 7 days a week.

Kim MXIX: living at the Lucknow was magical! the apartment was so lovely and open and a loft! The manager Kia, is the best and always responds right away. Living in Pioneer Square was fantastic for commuting and just beautiful in general. I hope to go back to Seattle someday and move back in to the Lucknow. I would wholeheartedly recommend!

Several Zipcars are in the neighborhood and I used the 2nd Ave bike lane to commute to work relatively safely.Living in a historic loft in Pioneer Square is not for everyone I'm sure, but if that style appeals to you this is the place to do it.

Nathan Hendrix: I've lived at the Lucknow for the past 14 months, and it's been a wonderful experience. Management has been very responsive and helpful. The property is very well maintained. Dozens of restaurants/cafes/bars within walking distance, and the pier is so close you can hear seagulls in the mornings.

David LaCount: I have lived in the Lucknow Lofts for just over two years now in two different units in the building. The building has a long history and this can be seen throughout the building. The original exposed beams in the halls and units give the building a unique feel compared to the sterile modern buildings that litter Seattle. The building owner / manager, Kia, is a especially a treat to deal with. She is always accommodating and understanding. She's easily one of the best landlords I've had.Pioneer Square may appear rough on the outside, but in my almost three years of living and working in this area, I have yet to have any real issues. If I ever leave it will be because I'm being dragged kicking and screaming away from this lovely situation I've been blessed to experience.

John McIsaac: We absolutely loved living in The Lucknow the past 3 years. Buying a home was the only thing that could drag us out. We had a 4th floor unit with a deck and it was great waking up to the sunrise in the morning and watching it set at night. Everytime we had friends over, they complimented our place. Pioneer square was incredibly convenient for food, nightlife, and working downtown. On top of it all, our landlord Kia was always responsive and understanding and made a great place even better.

What an amazing way to wake up every morning in the heart of the city with a calming waterfall outside your loft. Simply amazing.I have never had so many compliments on my place. The high ceilings and exposed brick walls. This place reminded me of my apartments in a New York but it was half the price. It has so much charm and a wonderful staff to take care of it. I can’t say enough about the manager here. She went above and beyond for me and still continues to check in with me about my life. She lets me know available lofts when they come up as I still have this dream of moving back but we decided to move south and finally buy a place. I’ll miss these lofts and hope to one day return. Debi Blizard: The Lucknow is as good as it gets - incredible loft apartments in a historic building in up & coming Pioneer Square, just shy of downtown Seattle. My husband & I rent a two-story loft apartment and we have lived here for the past year and LOVE it. We moved from Brooklyn, NY where a beautiful place like this would cost double the price. This is by far the best apartment I've ever lived in, the high ceilings, grand windows and exposed brick walls just make me feel happy every time I come home. Not to mention Kia, the building manager, is wonderful. She is so helpful and responsive and takes great care of the building and her tenants. We have never had any major issues with our unit, and any minor maintenance jobs are always handled straight away. As a newbie to Seattle, Pioneer Square is also a great place to orient yourself to the city, you are walking distance to downtown, International District, SafeCo and Century Link, as well as being close to the LightRail, Amtrak and a ton of busses. There are also Airbnb units available in the building which is really handy for having family and friends visit.
