However, I took the initiative to reach out to Barsala prior to my trip and everything turned out fantastic! The place was beautiful and modern, and nearby all the places that we wanted to go. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely use them for my next trip again!

Colleen W.: I’ve lived in the St James apartments for 5 years. Every lease renewal I like to check out other spaces to ensure I’m in the best place and I can confidently say that I am. While the building isn’t as new as others, and I do not have a W/D in my unit, the layout makes sense, I have a real bedroom and full size kitchen appliances. The laundry room is convenient with 4 washers and 4 dryers so laundry is not a time suck.The management and maintenance are the best. Strong communication and friendly. They schedule community events and make you feel truly at home.The location speaks for itself. I love being in the heart of Fremont.

Rebecca Butler: These are the views from my balcony! My apartment is just as beautiful on the inside. I have lived here for almost 2 years, and it truly feels like home. I started out in a one bedroom, and when I needed to upgrade to a 2 bedroom the process was super easy and straightforward. The whole building is immaculately clean and well kept. The views are gorgeous from everywhere. I have always felt safe, especially with the multiple doors and security desk. And honestly, the best part of all is the people. The manager and head of maintenance are genuinely kind and have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable. They're incredibly responsive to all my maintenance requests, and they always check in to make sure things are still going well. They have also organized several rooftop barbecues. My neighbors and I absolutely love them and always look forward to them. Everyone gets treated like a VIP here! If you're looking for a home that feels like home in every way, this is the place! 🙂
Stacee: I have been living at St James Tower for more than a year now.Marcus and Edgar are the friendliest and most helpful people you’ll ever meet in an apartment management office.The building is located in a great location, right close to the Burke Gilman trail and all the fun stuff in Fremont. The view from the rooftop and some apartments are unbeatable.Only 4 stars because I honestly think the management company could invest some more work on the 24-hour maintenance line. Our elevator was down a few times during the weekend and we called that line but they didn’t fix it 🤷♀️ When Marcus was back on Monday, he got it taken care of right away. But then what’s the point of the 24h maintenance line if that line doesn’t deal with urgency?There was another time when water was cut in our building on a Saturday morning, I called the 24h maintenance line again and the lady who answered the phone snapped at me and said too many people have called about that same problem so I should just wait. That answer was ridiculous on so many levels 🤷♀️

Evan Ziebell: St. James Tower was my first "home away from home" when I moved to Seattle four years ago. I could not have made a better choice for my first apartment. The building is positioned in a walkable location in Fremont. The rooftop deck offers spectacular views of Mount Rainier and Lake Union. The sense of camaraderie among the residents and staff provided an unmatched experience for me. Adrienne, the Community Director, is quick to assist residents and resolve any issues. Edgar, the maintenance Service Manager, is extremely skilled and professional at every encounter. I recommend this community to everyone I meet. While it's true that Seattle is a difficult city to meet new people, St. James was the place I made lifelong friendships and memories that I will cherish forever.

Jake Wang: , kind support, and helpfulness is definitely special. I've rented at a few different apartments across the country, and so far, no one's done it better than Tower12. I appreciate that the team is very on the ball and proactive about communicating to residents any apartment happenings, whether they were issues or events.I wanted to note that I did live here during the elevator outages/delays, trash chute, and water pipe issues that other reviews may have mentioned. This is true, and it was inconvenient. I imagine it was exponentially more painful for residents on very high floors when elevators were down/slow. The team was good about communicating updates for the issues. While it was unfortunate that some of the issues were prolonged due to circumstances outside of the Tower12 team's control, the team was clear about what was going on and communicating to residents. These issues are always risks at any apartment, and it was unfortunate it happened at Tower12. That said, I think the team did the best they could and it showed.Again, beautiful units. The quality of the construction is very high. Good, smooth drawers/cabinets, appliances, and flooring. The only thing I would add as a "wishlist" thought: it would be nice if Tower12 upgraded the door locks to be fob access, and upgraded the thermostats to be "smart" like Nest

Their warm and welcoming demeanor has been consistent throughout my stay. Every challenge, whether it was a water-related concern or an issue with the elevator, was met with utmost care, empathy, and a ‘white glove’ approach. The building manager and assistant manager go above and beyond their duties. Instead of merely delegating tasks, they are always present during emergencies, offering reassurance with their proactive involvement and even just a comforting smile. Their presence not only in challenging times but also in good times makes all the difference. I wholeheartedly commend the team at Tower 12 for making it more than just a residence, but a home. I would be with this if I didn’t also give respect to Mookie and the cleaning and facilities team they work all the time. “Every day is Monday” when it comes to their dedication!!
kayla royce: We’ve lived in Seattle for 5 years and after living in buildings where they rental company doesn’t really care, it was refreshing to find a place that cared enough to learn our names right away! Beautiful views, great amenities, entire staff is friendly, caring, and everyone is quick with updates when something is happening. Couldn’t recommend living here enough. It’s the only place we have ever renewed a lease and we’d do it again!
Dustin Ray: Simply the best building downtown. The staff are the most courteous and professional of any apartment in the city. The building is modern and has every feature you could want. Even maintenance that would normally be disruptive is handled with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I cheated on them for another building in Belltown and couldnt have been more mistaken. Price point is competitive and the people are wonderful. No need to look anywhere else. Walk to the market to get your groceries. They had high speed EV chargers before anyone else in the city. Regular art and community events help you get to know your neighbors and the city better than anywhere else. You simply will not find a better view in the city than this building.

The best part of living here is the staff, they make the difference! And I mean every single one of them. They are attentive, kind, problem solvers and truly get to know you. Amenities, views, etc. can be found at multiple places in Seattle but the staff is specific to Tower 12. I continue to live here because of them. They make this place a home. Thank you to all of you!

Natalie Fitzsimmons: I've lived at Tower 12 for almost a year and absolutely loved every minute! The location is ideal. You are a 5-minute walk to the market, close to endless bars and restaurants, shopping, and public transit. It's a highly secure building with awesome package service, so there's never the risk of deliveries getting lost/stolen. The monthly parking and bike storage fee is reasonable. And the views from the rooftop are insane. Plus, there's a coffee machine!The units have floor-to-ceiling windows, so there's always lots of light, and I love the super high ceilings. Everything feels so open.But all that great stuff aside, it's the people of Tower 12 that make this building shine. Shoutouts to Taryn, Christina, Ryan, Mike, Steve, and Michael for all you do! There are also monthly social events, happy hours, pet of the month, paint and craft nights, and holiday celebrations to mingle with your fellow residents.The gym is gorgeous. You can work out while enjoying stunning views of the needle, Elliot Bay, and beyond. Extra special shout out to Awan, fitness instructor extraordinaire and incredible person who hosts the fitness studio's Monday evening full body workout classes. His class has helped me build strength and pushes me to move. Special request to management/activity coordinator: can we please get another one of Awan's fitness classes added per week? Pretty please?

Beril Ozay: apartments and the maintenance guy Victor was super quick to address issues and also very very nice. We had 4 different property managers in the office in the 9 months we were there. 3 of the 4 were good but the current one is worthless. The area is kinda tucked away but still very close to capital hill. It's walking distance to a couple restaurants and a small park. There were a lot of break ins to cars on the street but we generally didn't have any issues in the building with shady people or anything. I had a couple packages get stolen from the lobby BUT most packages were delivered to lockers so it wasn't an issue if the delivery people did their job. They did increase my rent significantly but the price was on par with similar apartments in the area. I would live there again and would recommend it to others.
Carly Meier: Mindblown by the level of hospitality shown by these apartments! I feel like I live at a hotel with the above and beyond attitude that Brandon continues to display every time we interact. I’ve never felt more welcome. Any questions I’ve had, any concerns, have been handled better than I could have ever imagined. Recommending this apartment complex is an understatement! So glad I made the choice to live here. Shout out to Brandon! Thanks for making the experience so special!
Josh: I love living at Metroline Flats! The building is always clean and surrounding areas feel safe. My neighbors are very respectful and friendly, and I have nothing but positive things to say about building management. Brandon is always polite, prompt, and through. The only knock that I can think of is the higher rent prices, but that's to be expected for a quality apartment in First Hill.

Brandon is the absolute sweetest person I have ever dealt with in my rental history. He’s such a pleasure to see in my passing and now I actually make it a point to stop and say hello. I really wish there were more like him.
Eva Kiss: This is a very nice building. The apartment was clean upon move in. All the fixtures and appliances are look new . Regarding management, I typically communicate with Brandon Mendoza and he is always very prompt with his replies and helpful.

I appreciate the manager before and the current manager Brandon. He’s very attentive and cares about us as tenants. You can tell he cares about what he does. We are lucky to have such a nice view from our unit. Overall, I am very satisfied with my decision to move here and highly recommend it, especially for those who work in the area.

Oliver Hart: Affordable and centrally located!
Brandon De Ruiter: Great location. Management changed last year and has been significantly better. Adrienn Kinsey is always on premise and available to help, super responsive to email or call. Made for a very good renting experience overall.
Jon Beacher: Adrienn is a marvelous property manager! She is kind and affable and responds to all of my emails quickly. Further, she is always downstairs during business hours, ready to chat if she's not in a meeting. These units are a fantastic value for the current price. I got a six-month lease for around $1,000 a month, not facing the street. This complex is a newer development in this prime Capitol Hill location, with an elevator, a superb roof deck, a locked bike/package room, in-building laundry, heating, and a fast-fiber internet option. A lot of vegan takeout options around this complex which I enjoyed. I never had any issues with hot water, and Seattle tap water is drinkable. I work from home and don't currently own a car, so this complex was perfect for my needs. A large grocery store is a flat walk away, which is rare for a Capitol Hill or even a downtown Seattle apartment building. I would highly recommend a six-month lease here to experience everything Seattle offers

Cody Duncan: Update #2: I got a call from Pike Flats today about a package newly arrived, and it was indeed the latest lost package. +2 Stars back since they shouldn't be dinged for FedEx's mistake in marking an undelivered package as delivered, and for contacting promptly to return a $1000 piece of computer hardware to a recently former tenant. This doesn't resolve the other packages that have long since been irrecoverably lost.The missing star is for the remaining need to improve the package flow through the facility from courier to resident. Lost packages have half a dozen places they could be, not the least of which is 'accidentally picked up by another resident' or 'outside'.Update #1: I should mention that the staff are exceedingly helpful in checking the package lockers, package room, security cameras, and other possible locations for said lost packages. I had contacted them every time a package was lost, and I had recently contacted them about a recent lost package prior to posting this review. Doing so has never found a lost package.Staff are nice. Unfortunately lost update:$500 worth of packages because couriers put them in a wrong, unsecure, or unknown place. Something about this place makes package reception difficult.

Sheilagh is a solid property manager - when moving I sought out buildings with the same management company first because I appreciated the way this one was managed. The entire team that works here always seems happy and that made living here all the better. Nice neighbors too.

So if you also move here for the view, it’s pretty disappointing that Equity Residential does not prioritize this.-big dog area is great but I rarely see it being cleaned-our car was vandalized in the garage- even if not owned by the building, residents should feel safe and confident about our cars while we live here

Danxuan Zhao: My living experience is very good here in Viktoria. There stuff are very helpful. Today Robort even helped with my car issue. He is always very nice to us and my dogs bring treats everywhere. My dogs like him very much.

She inspected the home for me and she found the smallest detail and then she fixed it for me.I drove 18 hours consecutively to Kiara across states, and Cheri really made my move-in day easy and warm. Our leasing agent, Cheri, was wonderful to work with and made the whole process of picking an apartment and moving in a breeze. She was both kind and patient with all of our questions and showed us multiple apartments over several weeks - Cheri really is the best! We love the apartment - it's very quiet, the public spaces are kept immaculate, and everyone on the concierge staff is friendly and helpful.

E.L. jorgensen: are all well kept and clean.Mail/Packages = mail is secure. A lot of places in the same area have problems with package theft, NOT Kiara! Not only do we have on-site mail services, but Amazon lockers and a concierge that can accept packages and store them securely, until you're home and can pick them up.Trash = I may be nit-picky here, but the trash chutes are broken, or down, more than they are up and running. They are down so frequently, that the trash room on my floor fills up quickly. It is very common for 3-8 bags of trash to be left in the trash room when the chute is down. Kiara asks you to take it downstairs, directly to the dumpster, but most residents do NOT do this and it just piles up.Utilities = you have to sign up for your own electricity. But water, sewage, and trash are all billed by Kiara. Now, Kiara says they "check the meter" and based on meter readings and number of occupants per household determine your payment. HOWEVER, I was traveling a lot for work one month

The community is gorgeous; Cheri's "sales tactics" weren't even sales tactics - We had an organic conversation, she went so far as to even ask if I had any pets and what their names were! I can't emphasize enough how exceptional of a tour this was compared to others in the Seattle market. While Cheri did ask if I'd like to apply day-of, and follow up with me, appropriately so, several times after my tour - I did eventually fill her in on my decision to remain in Ballard. No other leasing professional reached out me after the day-of tour; this speaks volumes to Cheri's commitment to excellence, impressive skillsets and passion - For placing the right people in the right home - not simply a "salesperson" feel. I work in sales myself, and have found this strategy to be more effective than any other. Cheri is in it for the long game; if I decide to move 2 years from now, I'm going back to Kiara and I'm asking for Cheri!

CJ H: My stay in The Martin has been nothing short of amazing! I love the office staff and they were one of the biggest reasons i moved into the building sight unseen. I was greeted with a smile and never really had any issues. I wish the gym was a little bigger but the location is perfect. I saw a review that was talking about the crime, but what do you expect in a metropolitan area?? Its not bad and I've never had problems walking out after dark. It's a quick walk to the attractions downtown plus i live two blocks away from work. I've enjoyed my time so far and it's a little hidden jewel downtown. Also Casey has been the best! I love them all but Casey has been there since i arrived. Promote this lady. She needs her own office!

You won’t go long without seeing a dog or puppy going on a walk, or even a properly transported cat, to brighten up your day.Being downtown has some great perks. The building’s location is perfect for taking the bus, light rail, or even a walk to Pike Market. You also get some great cityscape views. We’ve had some awesome times on New Year’s Eve and the 4th of July watching the fireworks.One last thing I’d like to praise is the layout of our unit. Being in a taller building, the intentional avoidance of awkward support pillars that create dead space was one of the major reasons we moved into the building years ago. We didn’t know we’d have such an awesome time living here and I’m so glad we made the decision to call the Martin our home.
Carlena D: My husband and I moved to Seattle--sight unseen--and The Martin has been an integral part of our best and most memorable experiences living downtown. The staff are INCREDIBLE--shout out to Casey and Jaimen!!!--where they not only watched us grow up but became like family. We valued The Martin so much, when it came time to expand our home, we just ended up moving into larger units within the building, eventually landing a penthouse--all with a top-notch kitchens, tons of space, and views to melt over! I would, without hesitation, recommend The Martin and its community to anyone and everyone--whatever your needs are. You will create wonderful memories in this centrally located, safe and secure, pet friendly, kid friendly, active community.
Kim Potter: I love living here and the staff are incredible. Casey goes above and beyond for everything you need and even anticipates stuff you haven't thought of yet. She's truly amazing and is the main reason why I love it here so much!
Amira Lopez: I still remember when I first toured at The Martin. The staff was so warm and welcoming. Ever since I moved in, they've only exceeded in their service. Casey has been my go-to for everything! She goes above and beyond from helping me with getting maintenance to my unit, or locating a missing package. She even extends her warmth and kindness to my pup, Maple Bacon by giving her treats and love whenever we walk through the lobby. Thank you for everything you and the staff do to make this place feel more like home than it already does. 3
Ross Hamilton: Fantastic apartments with a great view of the Space Needle! The staff are incredible, especially their leasing consultant Casey. She has been the kindest and most helpful, and The Martin wouldn't feel the same without her.
Ty W: We lived at the Martin for 3 years and we love it and miss it so much. The apartments are super nice, clean, in great condition, and have big floorplans, especially for Seattle. Amenities were also killer, the rooftop has fantastic views and a great grill & chill room.The management team is also absolutely incredible. Everyone was always so friendly and eager to help, and made you feel like you were part of a community. Extra special shoutout to Casey for always making us feel so at home.

Tharun Poduru: I have lived in an urban 1 bedroom apartment at 'The Martin' for a period of 1 year and my stay here had been excellent. The apartment is well built without any wasted space. This ensures I got the best value for my money. They have a good set of amenities with a small gym. This apartment is right in the middle of downtown, so it has easy access to most places in Seattle.Some notes about the management:I basically found this apartment online via the website in March 2022 and I was traveling, so I was half way around the world in a different country. The property manager Mae Garcia had been super helpful in providing me with the right information on time which helped me make my decision.As soon as I got here, I was greeted by Lauren who helped me with my move in procedures. I did not have to run back to them for anything as she was thorough with the information she provided and ensured I had everything I needed on Day-1A special thanks to Casey, who tracked down my packages even before I arrived and I was surprised to see them already in my apartment before I stepped into it for the first time. She also helped with the tons of luggage I walked in with and was really helpful with any requests for my entire stay at 'The Martin'. She always greeted me and all the other residents with warmth and kindness.The rest of 'The Martin' property staff Kilee, Jaimen and Vince have also been super helpful and kind when I needed some information or any kind of maintenance requests.Overall, I deeply enjoyed my stay here and would recommend staying at this apartment.
